Oh man, you girls are cracking me up with all your insane pregnancy stories! Forget "Hormone Hannah". I'm my own "Hormone Heidi"!. I really feel bad for my DH. I can't even stand to be around myself sometimes. I don't know how he puts up with me. And I forgot who said that they should just "know" when we need help but I completely agree. It's like DH is on another planet or something because he just can't seem to get in tune with me about anything!

Well, I had my 3 hour GTT yesterday and it was nasty. The drink itself isn't bad but the texture is. With the 1 hour test it's just like drinking orange soda but with the 3 hour test, it's thicker and much much sweeter. I swear I could see the sugar lining the cup I drank out of. Blech! The guy couldn't find my vein so I got poked 3 times in one arm and 2 times in the other (it should have only been 2 in each) and it hurt because he was fishing around for it. I had to fast for 12 hours before the test and then was there for another 3 1/2 hours so I was STARVING by the time I was done. I went home and oinked out on a Togo's sandwhich and chilli. It was so yummy though. Anyway, I should get my results in 2 days so I'll keep ya'll posted.

Hello to all!

WOW we were talking are heads off yesterday. I guess we all needed to vent.

Anyways I think I beat this MS thing. Yesterday was fine, today is great. I feel like my old self again. I even cooked and cleaned last night when I got off work. Only thing was about 9:00pm I started craving ice cream like crazy.

So I can my DH at school and asked him to bring me some. To my surprise he came with a whole half gallon of Homemade Cookies and Cream ice cream. I gobbled 2 bowls. Oh man my DH is so nice now. I love getting pampered.

Anyways Heidi I hope all is well with your test. What is a Togo sandwich? I hate it when the darn people can't find your vein. This happens to me all the time. I just want to scream when I hear blood work.

Anyways I hope today will be a quiet day at work. I hope to get alot accomplished. So I'm off to begin....

Cyn - Togo's is just a sandwhich chain out here. It's super yummy. I had a turkey and swiss sandwhich but it was on white bread instead of wheat bread (slapping my hand). Oh well. It was worth it.

Glad you're feeling so great! Your DH sounds so nice. Mine can be pretty nice too at times. Afterall, he did go and get me my food yesterday since I felt like I would pass out if I had to stand up for too long. He even suggested it. So I guess he can't be all that bad huh. Don't worry about the ice cream. Heck, you can't be pregnant unless you splurge on ice cream once in a while right!?!

Hey Ladies,

Well had been doing good on my eating for the last couple of days and last night I woke up starving. I mean midnight snack last night was burritos.. Wow the dreams I had..LOL and I woke up w/ my normal water retention from the burritos. I am going walking today w/ a friend of mine and we may be going to San Antonio tomorrow if DH has to work..which will be fun. I serioulsy need to get out of here for a while.

Good Morning!

Well, my doc's office called yesterday and told me it's official, the blood test came back positive (not that I was really surprised by that). I'd just like to have some estimate of when I'm due! I guess I should find an OB soon and go in.

The nausea hasn't been TOO bad this AM, its nice to have a morning that isn't too terrible.

I was craving french fries SOOO bad last night. My DH went and got them for me at 10:30PM ... with no comments about them not being healthy either. I think he felt bad about the comment he made the other evening and was trying to make up for it .

I'm going to cross my fingers and hope to continue with little nausea today!

I'm hungry this morning! That Togo's sandwich sounds good. I think I'd like a big sandwich from Schlotzkeys... yum!

I feel like this baby is trying to crawl out through my belly button. He won't stop poking me! I should be happy but it hurts darnit.

Trish - Do you know when you had your last period or when you ovulated? You can get some sort of estimation that way. Due dates aren't exact anyway so at least you'll have some idea. Go to any pregnancy or baby website and plug in the numbers. They'll give ya an idea. Try babycenter.com or pregnancy.org.

Sinnrah- buritos? Oh my I would be in the bathroom all day today. Does it give you heartburn? Anytime I eat Mexican or Italian, I regret it later.

I am eating a fruit cup with bananas, grapes, pineapples, melon right now, but I'm really thinking of how bad I want some Krispy Kreme glazed doughnuts. I'm so bad.

PEOPLE ARE STUPID!!!!

Okay, we were doing these install jobs for Methodist Hospital here in Dallas. Well, when they complete the job, we have to have sign-offs (where the customer okay's all the work that was done) with serial numbers of the projectors they installed... BLAH BLAH BLAH...

SOOOO, yesterday I sent an e-mail to our Operations Manager with the SERIAL NUMBERS used for the job. Our Operations Manager REPLIED to my e-mail... I know she read it.

Then she e-mails me TWICE this morning, hounding me for... GUESS... SERIAL NUMBERS... In this e-mail, she decided to copy our VP, which made it look like I was slacking... So, I just forwarded the stupid e-mail I'd already sent to her. Hopefully, I made her look stupid. Stupidhead.

HEIDI - I'm so sorry they had a rough time getting blood from you!!! A tech has to be a retard not to find mine. Apparently, I'm a dream to take blood from.

Heidi - umm... no, I don't know exactly when my last period was and have absolutely no idea when I ovulated. We weren't trying, so I wasn't paying particular attention. I think the first day of my last period was somewhere around Sept 26-29th. And also, my cycles aren't real normal. They are anywhere from 30-37 days. So, who knows!

Cynthia - Good question. It will be interesting to see what others are doing so maybe I can steal a few good ideas We're a little broke this year as I went back to work full time a few months ago (after finishing my Masters) and DH quit his job to go to school full time so paying tuition has us broke. So all of my thoughts have been on the cheaper side of things... he has a slew of DVD's, CD's, and books that he wants.

Still craving Schlotzkys... I tried 1/2 ham sandwich on wheat bread, that just didn't cut it! lol

Happy Friday everyone!

I just got back from my 32w OB apt. All is well so far. Nothing really to report, with the exception of some swelling in the evenings in my ankles. Last night I was calling my feet Fred Flintstone feet. My ankles were like baseballs. So today I am drinking more more water, and some Dandelion tea, trying to flush out some of the water. Though the midwife tells me that its pretty standard at this point in pregnancy and the tea and extra water will help, but it will probably still be there until I deliver. Oh well.
I pre-registered at the hospital where I am planning to deliver, filled out my consent forms for the water birth, tomorrow is my first shower...I am feeling really ready. Now the waiting game, I keep hearing from everyone that the last month or so seems like it takes forever. Hopefully with the holidays in there it will go faster for me. One draw back is all the holiday food. I have gained a fair amount of weight already, and I am sure the holidays will make it hard to watch it from here on out. On the bright side at least there is Atkins.

Cyn - some gift ideas. Does your husand golf? Maybe a new club or a gift certificate to golf somewhere really nice? Is he into his car? Maybe a new car stereo and install package? A new jacket? A nice money clip, maybe engraved with something special? Is he handy at all? Maybe a new power tool or a power washer (great for washing cars, cleaning siding/gutters etc)?

Heidi - Hopefully your 3 hour test will come back negative!

Sinnrah - I hate that water retention...makes the scale seem higher than we really are!

Hi-

I'm on bed rest today and tomarrow. The spotting has stopped. Hooray! I feel so lazy. I got up at 6 but fell asleep at 8:30 and just woke up.

I wouldnt worry too much about the bad food choices. I've made some doozies but so far have only gained 4 pounds. They may not be good for yoiur body, but I am convinced that Krispy Creams are good for your soul.

Trisha - Get an OB. The cool thing about not knowing your dates is that they will do an ultra sound to figure that out and you get an early peak at your critter.

Cyn - I try to get him something related to his hobbies, but I've also done magazine subsriptions, gift certoficates to his favorate breakfast place, car washes, lessons (golf, pottery, guitar). Last year it was all the gizmos to make beer. This year might be a telescope... Re the spotting - it depends how much how often. I would check in with my OB about it.

Jenn - Go you for showing her up.

Misbadu- no he doesn't play golf but he said he would like to. So maybe I can try to find him a class to attend. Thanks for all the ideas. Also we just recently purchased a new Tahoe so something for that would be nice too. Maybe a TV in it or something. Wow. You are creative!

Well guess what for lunch I had Krispy Kremes......when I drove past the sign was just yelling at me hot fresh doughnuts... I guzzled 3 doughnuts with a big thing of milk

Okay so now I am crying.

Earlier I called my DH to ask him to meet me for lunch and he said no. So of course I was pissed off and hung up on him. Thats why I ate Krispy Kreme too.

Well I just get back from lunch and this man comes in w/ a dozen red roses w/ ribbon and greenery. And said delivery for Cynthia Bentley. So I open the card and it reads, "You are so very special to me. I love you. Baby, I hope you are having a better day today. Love your Husband."

So I rush to call him and he says thats why he didn't meet me for lunch today because he was going to go pick out my flowers. And he told me when I get home he has another surprise. I told him I love him so very much and apologized for earlier. Now I want to go home to him.

Now I have some big making up to do tonight !!!

Hi Ladies,

I've been so moody the last 2 days - it seems like everything is either ticking me off or making me cry. I think the hormones are starting to kick in. The worst part is that I don't think DH understands. He seems to think that since I'm only a little over 5 weeks that the MS and mood swings are all in my head. And ofcourse that ticks me off even more. (But then again, that could be the hormones too!)

I'm glad to hear that everyone is doing well and is feeling healthy. Do you mind if I ask how much weight you all gained during your first trimester? I'm a little worried because with the all-day MS all I can eat is either crackers or dry toast. I'm afraid that my doctor is going to yell at me for gaining weight too fast and for not eating right. Again, I think it's the hormones because I started to talk to one of my friends about it and all I started crying.

Hey, with all this talk of Krispy Kremes and Schlotzsky's, I think I may be getting my first cravings!

With my two girls I gained 5 lbs by week 13. This time, thanks to low carbing I gained 3 lbs.

Usually I had gained 10 lbs by week 20, this time I had gained 8.

HOWEVER, I will be 24 weeks this weekend and I have gained another SIX POUNDS in the last four weeks so apparently I am making up for lost time. I know it's all that chocolate. I've been eating chocolate every day since around October 25th when I bought those bags of Halloween candy and thank God I've finally finished it up. Chocolate is my nemesis, I CANNOT stay away from it.
