Good morning everyone!
I hope everyone is having a terrific day so far. Lauren- I'm sure you can't wait to see those pictures. Your daughter is so adorable! I woke up this morning full of energy. I think it was the switch in prenatal vitamins. I'm taking some chewables now because the other ones made me sick sick sick. No MS good thing for me.I have been so behind at work since I haven't really been there all that much due to illness. Today I am hoping to get alot accomplished. I have done account reconciliations for the last 2 months. I haven't balanced checking acct. Let's just say I have to get a move on it. Last night DH and I went to eat at Subway and the chicken salad is horrible. It was so sweet. I had to end up getting a steak and cheese later on. That reminds me...I have craved Penn Station thru this whole pregnancy...and I haven't had it in a while. I think that will be lunch! I am about to walk over to Bob Evans and get me a SW Chicken Omelette for breakfast. I shouldn't work right next door to a Bob Evans because I eat there almost every day. The carry out people know my voice. LOL.. One lady there is about 8 1/2 months pregnant so we trade stories when I go over there. I am trying to get my Christmas cards out this weekend so that will be one less thing for me to do. Well take care and God Bless! Cynthia |

Sorry I wasn't here yesterday... I was all woe-is-me, depressoid, frustrated, crabby, etc... etc... All in all, normal pregnancy stuff. As a matter of fact, the day started off with me being mad at Hank, because he forgot to grab my capri pants from his mother's house. (I refuse to believe it's my fault, even though he asked me to do a last check of the house to make sure we didn't leave anything behind...) Anyway, I was the bigger person (well, I will be before too long), and sent my erroneous husband an e-card from Hallmark... (Okay, "Hanna Hormone" sent it...)
This was his reply to me... I don't hate you. Hanna. I love you, however I can express myself best by a quote from one of my favorite people. "You piss me off more than any other human on the face of the planet." - Jennifer Meineke Poor boy is taking this all in stride. He almost made me cry last night... He was noticing my belly getting bigger, and he smiled and told me that he liked the way I looked with our baby growing inside me. He already rubs on it, and talks to the baby... Of course, so do the kids. Devon even does now... He was hesitant about a new baby, but I think he's coming around! SINN - YAY!!! You get to see your hubby soon!!! CYN - I'm glad to hear you're having a good day! Me too! That Bob Evans place sounds good... We don't have any here in TX... HOLA LAUREN AND SARA!!!!

I'm cracking up laughing at Hormone Hannah - I might have to use that one...!! Hahaha!!! I think Hank is sweet to take it all in stride, and I do love your quote!!! That is TOTALLY true of me and Dean...he makes me so mad sometimes I just want to rip his head off!!! LOL!!!!!!
Awesome to hear that Devon is coming around, that makes a world of difference! Last edited by MrsIndpndent : 11-13-2003 at 07:49 AM. |

I know Lauren... I love my baby, and he's a good man, but we can have some good arguments. I doubt my temper would have anything to do with it...
![]() QUESTION OF THE DAY: Since it's been a while since my last pregnancy, I'm forgetting when certain things happened... When was your first growth spurt. (Rather, your baby's first growth spurt...) I was just looking at my wedding shots from three weeks ago, and there's a big difference. I believe 15 -16 weeks is about average, but I just wanna hear from real folks... Knowhutimean??? |

OH my goodness that is so funny!
I might have to use that one too. I want to rip my Bruce's head off too at times. He doesn't even do anything most of the time. I am just so mean to him anymore. I don't know how he puts up w/ me. I don't know how anyone does for that matter. I am so depressed because I'm so use to being independent. The fact that I have to let go and let him handle certain things pisses me off to no end. Last weekend he did all the laundry and my comment was, "Why did you do that? I was going to do it. What? Did you think I was taking too long?" When in reality all I should have said was thank you. How do our husbands put up w/ us? I cried all last night! I don't know why. I'm such a cry baby anymore! Oh good news. The lady that works down the hall is 4 months pregant. She has been off for a while because she was having contractions and her doctor put her on some medicine. She was also on bed rest and just returned to work. I was so worried about her. She is 21 and this is her first pregnancy. I'm so happy she is back to work and feeling better. She goes to the dr. every week because of all of her complications. But anyhoo...she said she has been much better so good for her. Talk later..... |

I'm dealing with the whole independance issue too... Hank found out that I was a little late on my car payment (we haven't taken the time to get a joint account yet), and he asked how much money I needed, and I wouldn't tell him... I told him it was my car payment... My problem. He corrected me and said it was OUR problem. Whew... Depending on someone from time to time takes some getting used to... LOL!

We both still plan on having small separate checking accounts for the sake of gift buying and stuff... (For me, I would like to get him a surprise once and a while without having to consult him...)
I'm very PRO joint accounts... I just need to get my drivers' license changed first, then we can do it. (I don't want to get a joint account then have to change my name two weeks later, and they won't just take the marriage license... They want the DL to be changed as well...) |

That is the only thing sucky about joint accounts - buying gifts is tough!! We don't use our credit cards often, but Dean uses those when he wants to surprise me, etc... I'm the one who handles the money, so if he used our debit card at a store I'd know about it each night when I verify our transactions, log them into MS Money, etc...
But, I don't check the credit cards daily, so he can easily slide by with those - then we just pay the bill off! |

Morning everyone- hope everyone is feeling good today and in good health.
I am so irritable I can hardly stand myself. I really want to go back home and back to bed and stay there. Not tolerating work and the boss too well. I am almost 10 weeks and still no MS. Maybe I escaped it this time. Still expanding outwards though. Nothing fits except sweats and my skin is still broken out pretty bad. Can't find the energy to do anything after work but nap on the couch. Ugghh. My hair is blah and dull. Getting it colored and cut today. Maybe I will feel better. But enough about me- I should dig a hole and climb in it today. Lauren/ Jeffiner- my hubby and I got married in July after living together for a year and having separate finances. Once married, we opened one account and I now handle all the bills (he pays them way too late) He gets the (1) credit card all month, for gas, movie rentals, lunches, etc (gifts) and I pay it off every month. Never know what he spends it on And he never uses the checkbook, so that's mine to use how I pleas.Works for us. Back later, Sarah- how are you today? Anyone heard from Slyvia? Hey Sinrah- how are you? I have been bumping around the sites you sent me but haven't posted yet. |

Hi Ladies,
Does it keep getting worse?!? Sometimes I wonder, how am I going to get through 9 months of this with work??? The morning sickness, all day nausea, and heartburn is enough to make me go batty. Not to mention, I'm so sick of saltines (and I've only been munching on them for a week) the thought of eating more of them is disgusting. Well, I've already spent 3 hours on the road today because I had to drive down to Detroit and then back up to my office. Being in the car that long and being nauseated is not a good thing... I had to pull over twice because I was afraid I was going to throw up in the car! Luckily it didn't happen. Though, in some ways I almost wish it would just happen, because I tend to feel better for a little while afterwards. I got a sub sandwich from subway last night for dinner because I had been craving it for weeks. Just a turkey sub on wheat bread. When my husband got home from work late he says "Since your pregnant are you just throwing your diet out the window and taking a license to eat whatever you want" I think I overreacted to his comment a bit! Hanna Hormone is right! I think thats where I am... I don't think I've ever been this crabby! Ah well... back to work for me!

Hello everyone.
Trisha - I think your husbands comment would have thrown me off the cliff. I would have been hurt and upset at him. Getting through morning sickness can be very very hard. I know for me I was soooo sick. I lived on the worst things during that time. Gatorade, crackers, cereal, toast....even french fries. Not sure why but they helped a few times. I was so sick, I could not cook anything. I did not even go into my kitchen most days. Bland diet was what I had to do. I tried a few times to eat other things and I would just throw it up shortly after eating. That made it even harder because once I ate something and got sick from it, it was banned from my menu for a long long time! Yes it does get better....but it takes time...personally I did not get better until close to 20 weeks, though most people start to see relief around 12 weeks. I feel for you...I know I had it sooo bad and I kept thinking I would never be able to make it, but I did, and now Its a lot easier to eat low carb...its just the chocolate cravings that get me to cheat! So my advise to you is eat whatever you can keep down and that does not make you sick...once you feel better it will be easier to stay on your plan. ONE MORE THING....look at yesterdays thread, I posted a bunch of morning sickness suggestions...maybe some of those will help. ![]() I can't exactly relate to all the husband/wife problems, I am single, and got rid of the toxic X before I even knew I was pregnant. However I can relate to the independence thing. I am a very independent self sufficient type, so I can only imagine how hard it would be for me to deal with giving that up.

TRISH - My DH might have died that night if he'd said that. Hell, I got mad at DH for not wanting to watch TV with me. (He generally doesn't watch TV... I don't much either, but there are a few shows I love...)
MISBADU - This whole husband thing is new to me... When I got pregnant with Allison, I was single. It was one of those, stupid 18 year old things (although it turned out to be one of the best things that ever happened to me)... Her dad and I just got way too drunk one night. That was the ONLY night. Needless to say, we weren't together. He's turned out to be a good dad, but I can sympathize with you about going it alone. TRACY - YAY for no morning sickness! I'm so glad that part is over for me... |

WOW everyone is so busy today.
Hello Tracy- girl you are so so lucky and blessed. I would do just about anything to not have ms or nausea. Trish- I am crabby too. I think we all have our moments. Oh well everyone will just have to deal with it...lol Lauren and Jennifer- I'm glad I'm not the only independent freak. I don't like it when my husband does things for me. I guess I think it takes away from who I am but I need to learn to let go. It took some getting use to the joint account for me to. Although I still have my own account. I put money in it every pay period so if I want to surprise DH I can. Like last weekend I went to Victoria Secrets and spent 221.00 to make myself feel a little sexy still. Heck we have only been married for 4 months and I was almost losing it. LOL.... Lauren- I too think we are twins...when I'm reading your post I crack up because it reminds me so much of my own life and experiences. Hi to everyone else I missed...be back on later |

You should get those OPKs today. I am praying soooo hard for you!!! I have been lucky so far, not too big of a nose dive for the sex drive yet. I know it's coming. I just won't let my hubby see me naked. Figure I should get it while I can before my belly gets too big. |

Ah... thanks for the sympathy all
I'm sure I'll make it through being such a grump. It doesn't help gaining 5 Lb already (and I'm haven't even been prego for that long) from eating all this stinking bread and saltines and breaking out like I'm a teenager! The waking up a zillion times at night to go to the bathroom and because of tummy aches certainly doesn't help me be in a good mood either!Misbadu... some good ideas on the Wednesday thread. I'll have to try some of them! Well, back in the car I go for another trip and then home! |
