Hello,
Well I am up so freaking early. I had all this energy and thought I would be really out of it today..but nope....up and raring to go. I am drinking my coffee right now getting my grocery list ready. I woke up a/ major constipation. Maybe that is why I gained that two lbs. I dont know if that is an alright weight gain for a week or not...to me it seems a little high..but my diet has stayed the same..so I have no idea. Dh had to go into work today..and his job is getting to be a real pain in the butt. Hopefully things will slow down for him. All he wants to do is be here w/ me and the baby. Hope all is going well w/ everyone.... Take Care ![]()

Good Morning Girls! I'm so excited for this weekend. Date night with hubby tonight and a family party for me on Sunday. It should be fun.
![]() Thanks again for all the support with the GD thing. I really hope it's just one of those that is positive for the 1 hr and negative for the 3 hr. I'm praying hard ... this is just something I don't want to deal with now or later in life either. Tigerlily - To answer your question, I don't know what the prescription is for yet. I didn't actually talk to the doctor, he just left a message on my machine. It's okay though because he knows my schedule and we'd be playing phone tag otherwise. So, I don't know. Maybe he knows something I don't and this is "in case" I have it for sure. He just told me that the result came out high but didn't actually give me a level. *sigh* Sinnrah - Sorry about being plugged up. The coffee should take care of that for ya. It always does the trick for me! Sorry DH had to work today. That stinks. I'm gonna skim yesterday's posts again and be back with replies if I get the chance. I'm almost done here at work so hopefully I can squeeze some more time on the boards before I go. If not, have a great weekend everyone!! |

Okay, I skimmed.
You guys are so knowledgable with the GD information! Thanks so much, I really appreciate it. ((HUGS)) to you all!!Sinnrah - Yeah on passing the AFP test ... what a relief! And don't worry about the donuts girl ... I think we've all caved at one point or another (some of more than others ).Sylv - Your absence better mean you've got a baby in your arms! Thinking about ya!! Kiti - You have to post too girl ... don't just go by mine. We want to know you ! ![]() Anyone else I forgot, I'm sorry. I ran out of time. I'll be back later. C-ya! Oh, I forgot to mention ... I'm down 2 lbs. Woo hoo! Probably just water but still ... the scale looks much better than before. ![]() Last edited by Heidi-M : 11-08-2003 at 06:54 AM. |

Hey peeps!!
I am still around. I have been unwell - it started with what I thought was a migraine last Tuesday afternoon. I have had this awful pain since then - like someone trying to drill a hole through the side of my head. Turns out to be a sinus headache, so antibiotics, painkillers and rest for me. Hope everyone is well and will try to catch up God Bless Sheree |

Thanks Sinnrah
I am bored. DH has taken my DDs and the SD out to give me a break, but I am bored. There's only so much knitting I can do!! Surfing for a cheap DVD player - the one I had in the bedroom has just died, and I want one in there for when baby gets here and I am up in the middle of the nite!!! LOL- that's my excuse anyway! ![]() |

Stacy...I want to see that picture! I am going to take a new belly pic every four weeks I think.
So you're at 24 weeks? I am 23 weeks tomorrow! I've gained 11 lbs so far it seems. It was 10 a few days ago but I hopped up a pound, probably all that Halloween candy. How are you doing? Tigerlily |

Ok should run to bug him more...The only hints he gets is that he'll say whooo hoooo a lot, drink beer and you can't put a price tag on it. cheers have a great day all! |

Ok, SD has gone and I can blow off steam.
ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!! My SD takes great delight in making our weekends together crappy. She is now six, and things are just getting worse and worse. We have tried everything - talking, arguing - you name it, we've tried it. This weekend we decided to start the cleaning blitz which basically meant the three girls hitting their bedroom and clearing it out. All the clothes that don't fit any of them, all the toys they no longer play with, all the rubbish under the beds - everything. DH was supervising, and because I was unwell I left him to it. This morning I thought I would help a bit and went into their bedroom. To say they had been taking the mick out of him is putting it mildly. They hadn't been through their clothes, had hidden stuff under the bed - they did make a little effort, but they hadn't been working as hard as he thought. I joined them in their efforts, and we really started to make some progress. Then I realised SD was just sitting around doing nothing. I don't mean working slowly - I mean doing absolutely nothing So I assigned her the bookcase - emptying it out, and tidying it up. She didn't put a single book away. I sent my two DDs for a break because they had been working hard, and she just sat there bawling. When I asked her why she was crying she wouldn't answer; when I asked her why she wasn't tidying anything away, she wouldn't answer. I got down on my hands and knees to 'help' and she still did nothing. AT ALL I asked her if she helped out her Mum, and she said yes; I asked if she wanted to help and she said yes, and then she just sat there. In the end I tidied away all the books and sat her down to talk to her. I asked her why she hadn't helped at all and she point blank refused to answer. She actually said she wasn't going to answer me because she didn't want to. DH spoke to her, and she will give no reason for her behaviour. She said that she wants to be on good behaviour when she is here, that she loves being here, loves spending time with us all but when she gets here she can't help being bad. Can somebody PLEASE give me a clue how to deal with this?! DH and I are at our wits end, and to this is just so incredibly stressful. Fortunately, because they got to watch TV and everything, my two DDs are happy, although they said if they had known I was doing the bookcase they would have come back and helped. But that's not fair on them. What do I do?! Thanks for letting me vent. |

Poor Sheree, I can't imagine the tension you must have to deal with, especially at a time where you certainly need some peace! I wish I knew the answer, and I wish your SD would open up and tell you what's up. Maybe you could find a child psychiatrist to lend you a hand? It sounds like it would be a weight off your SD's shoulders too. I hope things get better soon and that you also feel better.
Tracy, you have THE PERFECT preggo belly! Heidi, how is your birthday weekend? Thanks for inquiring about me. I WISH I was holding my baby in my arms, but no, she's too comfy in there it seems. I've been taking evening primrose oil to rippen my cervix and I can feel it's doing something, but no labor yet. I go for a non-stress test on Tuesday and they'll probably want to schedule me for an induction on Friday or Monday. I HOPE she comes before then! Last night was a full moon and lunar eclipse... how could you ask for better conditions?? Oh well. She's got two procrastinators as parents, I guess it's to be expected! ![]()

Hi Sylv,
I had my first child at 34 weeks (a bit early) so with the 2nd one I was MISERABLE by 36 weeks, I am short waisted and carry high so I just run out of room early on. When I hit 36 weeks I bought some borage seed oil (same as primrose oil only a higher concentration of whatever it is that makes your cervix softer) Took two capsules 2x a day for a week. Exactly a week later at 37w0d my water broke and I had my daughter 3 hrs later. I am planning on starting it again around 36 weeks this time too. It does NOT start contractions but it does soften the cervix. There are other herbs and things you can do to start contractions but I don't recommend them. Good luck! Tigerlily

Sarah - Sending you baby dust!
Sylvie - You must be ready to pop! Hope the primrose does it's thing. Stacy - LOVE the pic. Your tummy is perfect. Sinnrah - Hopefully your system will straighten itself out while DH is at work so you can enjoy your time with him. Lauren - Thanks for starting the thread. Hope you are well. Tigerlilly - Were you able to work out a managable school schedule? Sheree - Hope you are feeling better. SD sounds pretty trying. kit - glad you are joining us. Heidi - Hope youare out having fun. I'm moving slowly today. I have to work on a job project and I want to get the body of a quilt cut out. I must have slept funny on Friday night b/c my back is sore but today is better than yeasterday. I also had some last ditch moring sickness this morning - I am so glad that phase is passing!

Sara, thanks for asking. I am feeling fine now I think I was just stressed from the court stuff last week. So I am trying to finish these last six weeks of this semester, then I will have a month off and I can see how I feel then. I haven't talked to our academic advisor yet, but I will soon so I can discuss options for the 4th semester.
