Hi All-

The morning sickness is finally easing. I can think about low carbing without waves of nausea. This is a good thing becuse the incredible bouncing scale says I'm up 5 pounds already... I have hope that tomarrow it will bounce back down.

I had an idea this weekend to do the nursery in black and white checkerboards and cow print. Its gender neutral, there will be lots of stuff to add color and supposidly babies see big contrasts better. I cant decide if it would be really cool or is a crazy idea.

I'm still struggling to not get all neurotic. I really want some kind of reassurance that everythink in there is ok. I actually looked up fetal doplers to rent... Probably wont do it. Cant wat to feel the critter moving, maybe I will slow down on the worrying then.

Sylv - I really hope you are holding your baby in your arms right now!

Everyone else - Have a good day!

Good Morning,

well my appointment is today at 9:45. And I am dreading those dang scales again. LOL I woke up w/ a splitting headache. But that could be due to my nightmare I had. I hate those vivid pregnancy dreams.

But hopefully today we will see our baby for the first time. I know yesterday that little thing was really active. We were watching a moving and I felt a kick. LOL But my back is starting to hurt me. I dont know if it is cause of my boobs or because of the baby. Maybe a little of both.

I started walking and feel really good about it. Well, I guess I will check in later.

If not today tomorrow for sure. Jim has the day off thank goodness. So I may not be back online after this...

Take Care

Good luck at your appt., Sinnrah, I hope it goes wonderfully!! Can't wait to hear all about it!

Sara - I think your nursery idea is a really great one! When Mackenzie was little I got some really crazy/funky fabrics from the store and draped them on the inside of her bassinet. She loved them, and would lay in there and kick and stare for long periods of time - I think it's good for them!

Sylv - You're in my thoughts!!

This weekend I felt really 'blah' the whole time. Just not really good, ya know. I wasn't nauseus, but had a hard time finding things to eat that sounded appetizing, and my belly just felt really full and weird. I seem to be doing better today, but man, I thought I was going to put a dent in the couch I laid on it so much this weekend! I never lay around that much!

I'm eating some Twizzlers now - not very low-carb, but they sounded too delish to pass up!

Morning mommies!

Sarah: I am sorry It will happen ((HUGS))

PFgal: Glad you are feeling better today. I have lots of "blah" days--and I lived on the couch the 1st trimester

Sinnrah: I had a 9am doc appointment today. I dreaded the scale too--it wasn't awful but it wasn't what I was hoping. I am just starting to feel some little kicks and flips. Let us know how your visit goes!

Sara: Glad your MS is easing up. My weight fluctuates alot daily. Don't let it get you down. Also I am starting my 20th week and still neurotic!! I worry if everything is ok. I think that is normal for us moms ! I got to listen to the heartbeat again at the doc today so I feel better (for now) When do you go back to the doc?

The doc promised at my next appointment, we'll do an ultrasound--thank goodness. I can not wait!! I also get to do the diabetes test-yuck. Everything was good...HB=150bpm.

Have a good day!

Just called my doctor and she said any of the Tylenol products are safe. Is that what your doctors have said?

Oh - when did you guys who are on your 2nd pregnancies feel the baby move for the first time? I swear I'm feeling something in there sometimes, but I know it's probably too early!

PFGAL- My doctor gave me a list of meds for a variety of illnesses that are safe to take. For sinus congestion and cold symptoms she said robitussin (plain) for coughing, sucrets or cepacol lozenges for sore throats and tylenol or other acetaminophen. Sudafed also depending on symptoms.

Hope that helps you out.

Hi ladies,

Thanks for thinking of me! Well I'm officially due, but she seems to be too comfy to come out just yet. I certainly hope it'll be soon. The more we wait, the less likely it is we'll have a comfortable room at the birthing center, which is undergoing major renovations. They may have to set up makeshift rooms in the consultation offices... ugh. If the darned law could just pass already to allow midwifes to do homebirths here!

Sarah, sorry to hear it didn't work this time. Don't worry, it'll happen. On the bright side, I bet your sex life has never been better, huh??

Lauren, sorry to hear you've got a cold. Don't forget all the non-medicinal things you can do to help make you feel better... vaporizer, Vicks Vaporub, hot broth, soothing baths, saline nasal mist, lots of fluids, rest, backrubs...

Hello to everyone else!

I go for my next midwife appointment on Wednesday, and she'll do an internal check for the first time. Can't wait to see if my cervix has started to change!

Good Morning!

Hello everyone!

Sarah ((hugs)) maybe things will go better next month. That darn TOM.

SaraJewel- I'm so glad the morning sickness is gone! I know how you felt. It seems as if it was never going to end. BTW I think the black and white is a great idea.

Sinnrah- Let us know how your doctor's appt goes. I hope you have a great report.

Laura - WOW 150bpm. The baby's heart is working overtime.

PFGal- I was going to tell you, you can take Tylenol. I had a headache and that is what my OBGYN recommended. I am so glad you said something about feeling your baby move. My husband told me I was crazy because I told him I felt something and he said it was gas. I felt some moving and stuff and I thought I was going crazy. I'm not sure how early is too early but I am going to ask my OBGYN when I go to my next appt on the 18th.

I had an eventful weekend. I went to one of my girlfriends baby shower on Sat. She is due 11/21. It was so much fun and I was so excited for her. I cried when she opened the gifts as if I was receiving them.

I went to Babys R Us and bought me an ultrasound monitor so I can hear my baby's heartbeat anytime I want to. It was $50.00 well spent. I have been playing music to the baby for the last 2 nights.

I have officially gained 4 pregnancy pounds. I thought it was more like 9 because Saturday I was up 9 pounds and today back down 5 pounds.

Well I hope everyone has a terrific Monday!
Cynthia

Sylv- The sex life is definitely good!!

This is so dumb, but I'll share it with you guys. I have been doing all this temping and fluid checking and stuff to find when I'm most fertile. DH laughs at me, but is supportive. He's more of a let go and let God kind of guy, so me going through all of these antics is funny to him. Anyway, I'm sure you guys have heard that wearing boxer shorts increases the chances of getting pg because "the boys" don't get too warm. So, the other day he comes up to me and gives me a big hug and says "I started wearing boxers so it would up our chances." I got teary-eyed! It's not really that big of a deal but it touched me that he actually changed something to try and help.

I figured you guys would understand.

Hello ladies.

Haven't been around for awhile...things have been so busy lately with all the baby things I've had to do. I've been trying to keep up with reading all the posts, just haven't really posted back. It's strange seeing my name next to week 36. Makes me realize that time is really flying by. Only 4 short weeks to go!!

Two weekends ago my sisters threw a baby shower for me with all of our family and friends there. It was really great, yet a little overwhelming with so many people there. And we got so many wonderful gifts. That was the overwhelming part for my husband...seeing about a million baby things stacked up everywhere around the house. We really have had to purchase very few items on our own for this baby... we got a ton of furniture and things from my sister (since she is finished having children) and then with all the new gifts. And my mom is going totally crazy buying just about everything she can get her hands on. But it's nice she is so excited. The only bad thing was that my mother in law decided not to attend the baby shower. Needless to say I was none too happy about that.

Last weekend we had our 2 day childbirth education class and took a tour of the hospital. All of that information really made it sink in that we're having a baby...and our instructor was really nice and helpful. Made me think I can actually do this!

Sylv- Hope things are going well and that you've had that baby. How exciting for you to be right at the end!

Sarajewel- Glad the morning sickness has eased up and you are feeling better. The ideas you have for your nursery sound really cute! We picked a red and white gingham/checker theme for our nursery, as we needed something gender neutral. And babies seem to respond well to the contrasts of red, white and black, as you mentioned.

Sinnrah- Hope your appointment went well this morning. Don't worry about the scales too much. And good for you on starting with walking. I've tried to keep up with walking on my treadmill all through my pregnancy and think it has made a huge difference in how I feel (and with weight too).

Sarah- Sorry to hear about your disappointment. Just keep on trying and it will happen. Are you still temping and using the opks?

Looper- Glad your appointment went well. Bet you can't wait until your next visit to do that ultrasound!!

Summer- Good to see you back on the boards and hope all is well.

And to all the other ladies I've missed...Hello and hope you are all doing okay.

Niccole

Morning Ladies!! Not a lot of time for replies, just wanted to pop in and say hello. We finally finished all of our unpacking and most of the decorating. Mike took off work to finish painting one of the rooms today and to hang a couple ceiling fans. I'm looking forward to relaxing next weekend and hopefully feeling more *settled*, it just doesn't feel like *home* yet. I always go through that depression of sorts when I first move, I'm such a homebody it will take me a month or so to start feeling really at home.

SARAH: Mason is such a sweetie, thats such a great story!!

PFGAL- Don't know why MIL chose not to attend. She had several very poor excuses and I just left it at that. It did hurt my feelings that she basically showed no interest in the shower, and in my eyes, the baby. And I know my husband was really upset about it, too. What makes it even more difficult to accept is that my family is really excited about the baby. My parents absolutely love their grandkids and can't wait for another one. My sisters can't wait to have another neice or nephew, and my neices are excited about having a cousin. And on his side there is little enthusiasm or so it seems to me. I'm just glad that we have my family because they are so supportive.

I tried to reply earlier, but the computer 'ate' it.

Sinnrah- Hope you had a good appointment and your headache has eased. Enjoy your day with DH.

Lauren - Maybe your energy dip was the precursers of this cold comming on? Drink lots of fluids and REST!

Sarah - I was so hoping for you. Mason sounds very sweet.

Laura - It's neat that you have the ultrasound to look forward to.

Sylv - Any minute now!

Cynthia - Thanks for the tip on the monitor - I may go pick one up just for piece of mind. Glad you had fun at the baby shower.

Nicole - I am totally looking forward to the showers. Its a pain though because I want to buy stuff but I dont because the showers may provide whatever I'm currently drooling over. I also like the ginham idea - I'm going to make my bumper, etc so will have to go fabric shopping.

Stacy - It will be really cool the day you house truely feels like "home".

Gotta go back to work...

Hi all,

Sylv: You are so close... my beth was not right.... Darn!! Good Luck!

Sarah: I know how you want a little one to yourself.... i sent you a prayer a few weeks back! Hang in there, at least, you get to try... When i was young, that was something i dreamed about. I kept thinking about how exciting it would be to finally "find out" i was pregnant. But i never had to do it, they were both a huge surprise!! But what your DH did, was a BIG DEAL!!! This is so sweet, so supportive from him... I too was on Depo Provera shot for a few months, a few years back. That really screw your body around. I was probably lucky to be able to conceive so fast after that, but my dr said it is not very common. Keep trying, it can be fun too!!

Hello to everyone else. I am still very nauseus... It is terrible! I feel like i am going to be sick every minute of the day!! Arggg. I hate this feeling. I gained 5 lbs already. But eat very bad food.... huh I still wait for that feeling of sickness to go away. will try to eat healthier after...

That's it for now, will be back later!!

Sarah- your hubby sounds very sweet! I am so sorry this wasn't the month for you. We are all pulling hard you get the good news you want very soon!

Hi Sylv- no baby yet? I can't wait to hear she's here!!

Lauren- you are getting a cold too? I have had mine for 9 days and it's miserable. I never took anything. Just sweated it out. Lots of orange juice and rest. Good pair of sweats and the remote as much as possible.

Sorry I don't have time for more personals. I am leaving in a minute for the orientation on base and they will schedule my first OB appt for about 2 weeks. Blood work and all. My regular OG/BYN who doesn't accept my insurance is doing my 8 week ultrasound tomorrow (pics and all) for me. Self pay= $139.00 I was appalled! But I am so excited! Somehow it will make it feel that much more real to see "him" on the ultrasound, even if no bigger than a lima bean.

Still no M/S. Still holding my breath though! I may make it this time without any!

Hi to everyone who follows- hope you all have a wonderful day!

Tracy

I hope your appt. goes GREAT!!!!!!! You're a mess to keep calling the baby a him - if it is a girl right now I'm sure you are going to wish it into a little man before birth!
