Hello ladies

No I haven't fallen off the face of the earth - just not been posting for a little while. Hope everyone is well and doing fine - will try to catch up later

We heard baby's heartbeat on Friday at the midwife and that was cool. DH and I had a rough weekend with the stepdaughter and are considering counselling - it's all starting to get really hard to deal with.

I ended up going into work anyway. I'll just have to find a way to stay awake because I really want to take DD to the pumpkin patch. I've got a conference call at 10am too that I need to wake up for. Ugh, this is going to be a tough day.

LessCarbs - That's so great that you were able to hear the heartbeat! I love that sound. Sorry you're having trouble with your step-daughter. Maybe counseling is the answer ... if not for all of you, then at least for you and DH so you can find other ways to handle her. ((HUGS))

I seem to be stuffing my face with everything now days. I am now eating breakfast for the second time this morning and it's only 9:00am here.

She's a girl!

You know what though, I'm not a mushy, gushy, Hallmark kind-of-person, but after yesterday's ultrasound, I feel like things have changed, almost like the world has split open.

Instead of "I'm pregnant" being the focus, it's changed to "You're alive, waiting to be born and we can't wait to see you."

I'm already calling her Olivia, but I think I only have my husband half-convinced. Then again, he's such a gentleman, he'll probably let me have my first choice, unless, of course, it's Glenella. LOL

We were driving into work today, and my hair was still a mess and my makeup not done, I've gained weight and I'm staring like a zombie and I saw him staring at me and I asked him "What?", expecting him to tell me that I really should have left the house wearing pants, but instead he just smiled and said he was trying to guess if his baby girl would be as beautiful as her mommy..

*ok, I'm crying now, I never cry*

I have to go back to not working and not attempting to buy every adorable thing I see from Ebay. I can't believe we have to wait 19 more weeks and 3 more days! I miss my baby already, as weird as that sounds....

It's pouring for the 5th day in a row here. Everthing is wickedly soggy. I'm still in a crabby mood. I just dont feel right today. Its like I cant relax - I'm not itchy but my skin is electric. I'm also crampy. I keep telling myself that its round ligament pain but I'm having a hard time not thinking about awful stuff. The fact that the appoxy fumes from the room they are tile-ing down the hall really stink dosent help. *sigh* Thanks for listening to me whine...

Happy Wednesday to everyone!

I was so determined to do good yesterday, and I almost made it all day, even had a super low carb dinner of steak and broccoli, then out of nowhere the chocolate monster started calling me and I ate a huge bowl of chocolate almond ice cream.
Oh well today is another day.

I swear when I do not drink enough water I really feel it. This morning I was just...off, not feeling right. When I got to work I started guzzling water, now after getting down a good 36oz I am starting to finally feel better. Its amazing what a difference water makes! Before I was pregnant I always noticed when I was in need of water, but now its so much more apparent. That water is really needed! So ladies, drink up!!!

I find that my appetite has totally changed this week. I haven't gained weight, though, which is weird, haha. I'm eating 3 meals a day, but they're bad ones. Before I was doing better at eating, but eating more of good things, or 1/2-bad things. Typical day this week - 2 glazed donuts for breakfast, fast food for lunch, and last night was an english muffin for dinner. That was it. No snacks or anything, I was fulfilled. It was all bad stuff, though! Weird!

3Diva, how EXCITING. You sound so excited. We are about at the same stage and once I found out I was having a boy and saw his parts (and his face of course) things changed for me as well. Of course this is my third so it's not quite as exciting as it was before - is this your first?

In addition, I've really started piling the weight on. I was at only 8 lbs on the day I hit 20 weeks and since then (only 1.5 weeks) I've gained another 2 lbs. Whoa. It's really starting to pile on. Trying to cut back on the carbs but it doesn't seem to be helping. I seem to remember my biggest weight gain was between 20-28 weeks - at least 1-2 lbs a week. After that I didn't gain much.

Here is my 3 yr old daughter I took the other day. She has lovely curls but they are horrible to brush out. I'm thanking GOD I'm having a boy this time so I can just buzz off those tight curls and keep it short. She is a doll though.

Sarajewel - Try to relax, can you soak in the tub for a bit or convince someone to rub your feet. It's so to be pregnant and exhausted, yet also totally keyed up. I don't think the fumes will hurt you, but if it makes you feel better, sit near an open window and breathe some fresh air.

I also get some weird crampy pains when I stand up around my pubic bone area and some strange deep vaginal twinges, almost like mini electric prods, but I just had an ultrasound and everything was perfect, so I guess it just gets added to the list of "weird pregnancy stuff" ((hugs))

PFGal- mmmmm donuts. My DH is really a good guy, but the funny part is that I was convinced he was Satan the night before. Thanks for your kinds words.

TRACY2 - I was split pretty evenly between boy and girl, but my DH wanted a girl for sure (and so do my parents AND his parents). She does look pretty cute, I have to say Oh, and all organs were great and her growth was exactly on target to the day as determined by the earlier ultrasound.

Jefinner - What a pretty bride and ring set! Heh heh. You look so happy and I love the goofy face pictures. I have some really odd ones from my wedding day, maybe I'll dig them out to scare you

mstigerlily -- it's our first, so yes, it's not just getting to know this little person, but the whole turning 30 / becoming a Mom, it's really overwhelming, in a good way.

BTW, my baby is already a little weirdo. During the ultrasound, she was CHEWING ON THE PLACENTA!!! Augh... Well more, nibbling, batting at it, but I was just like... "Honey, don't eat your way out for about another 18 weeks, kay?" The tech was like "Well, they don't have a lot to do in there."

She also kept sticking her butt in the camera and then tumbing over forwards. That was pretty amusing.

Ok, now I need some help for a middle name.

Our last name is Crowell (pronounced Kroll with a long o)

I really like Olivia Catherine Crowell for a full name, but I like Catherine so much that I'd like to use as a first name if we have another girl.

I'm a big fan of alliteration, and prefer Olivia Caroline Crowell, Olivia Catherine Crowell, or Olivia Claire Crowell. Mackenzie has her Dad's last name, Mauck (pronounced Mawk). Our last name is Crossman, and I just love the ring that Cassidy Crossman has. Like I said, alliteration is my buddy!
