Good morning Ladies!!

Well I went to bed at 10 pm last night and feel absolutely fantastic this morning!! Nothing like a 9 hour sleep to make you feel rested!! Bet it doesn't last past getting into work!

Can't quite believe I am 13 weeks pregnant today!!

Had some rough news yesterday - a colleague at work seemed really upset, and me being the motherly type I asked what was wrong - turns out she had a miscarriage last Thursday! I managed to get her to go home, but it was a major shock, and I felt guilty because I was glad it wasn't me! Does that make me a bad person?!

Anyways, have a beautiful day everyone - will try to check in later

God Bless
Sheree

Good Morning girls!

I weighed myself when I woke up yesterday and I had gained 4 lbs in just one day! But, the good news is that I was going pee practically every hour and when I woke up from my nap it was back down. Scared the crap out of me though! I ate 2 slices of pizza, a handful of chips and a piece of birthday cake though so I guess all that water got to me. Thank goodness it's gone now!

Sheree - That's awful about your colleague. I would have done the same thing in convincing her to go home but please don't feel guilty about being glad it wasn't you. I think we all would have felt the same way.

I'm glad you got some good sleep again! It's been so darn hot here the past few days so I slept like poop.

Lauren - Good job on eating better! It's so hard in the beginning but then it's hard to get back on track and stay there too! I like using FitDay but I hate measuring. Ugh. BTW, your daughter is adorable! I hope mine takes an interest in dance when she gets older. She's already got the moves and I was a dancer for quite some time so that would be cool if she followed in my steps, even if only for a little bit.

I can't remember all the individual posts from yesterday, I'll have to go back and look, but I do remember a name topic. We're having a boy and the name that keeps coming to mind is Eric. My dad passed away 6 years ago and his name was Frederick. Eric is a form of Frederick so it would honor him in a small way. The middle name is still up for grabs ... I like Robert after my husband or maybe Ryan. I don't know. If we end up with a girl, I really like the name Cierra Leonor (the middle name after my MIL) but we're pretty darn sure it's a boy so I don't need to worry about that right now. It's hard to pick boy names for us because our last name is Martinez and a lot of the trendy or new names don't flow well with it. So, I'm sticking to Eric and I hope DH will stick with it too.

Have a great day ladies! I'll be back ...

I feel ya there...I slept from 7:30pm - 5:30am (10 hours) and feel so groggy now that I'm at work!

Not at all! It’s hard to know what to say in a situation like that, and it makes you feel guilty for being successfully pregnant. My good friend just had a tubal pregnancy that resulted in a D&C and I’m still not really saying much about my pregnancy unless she asks – just out of respect, ya know. Having something like that happen to someone close to you makes you even more thankful to be in good health.

Is anyone else having trouble concentrating at work? I swear, I feel like the biggest space cadet lately and I can't keep my focus! I'd rather be on the internet than working.

Hey Heidi! Good to 'see' ya! I think the name Eric would be an awesome way to honor your dad, and it flows well with your last name, too!

Thank GOD those 4 pounds disappeared as quickly as they'd come on. That would have freaked me out, too. 4 pounds is one thing, but not cool in one day, lol!

Mac started dance in September and LOVES it! It runs from September to June and they do a recital at the end. I think they also do things in the county throughout the year, so it's neat. It's 1 hour a week on Tuesday evenings, so gives me an hour of 'alone' time - YIPPEE!!!

Where has Summer been? Did I miss something?

And where is everyone else? We have a lot of names on the list but I haven't seen some of them post for quite some time. Come out, come out where ever you are!

Awww, I remember doing recitals. How fun for you to be able to watch her dance. I started when I was 6 and danced up until I was 12. Then I just stopped classes but still choreographed my own little dances just for fun. About 4 years ago I started Hula dancing and I absolutely LOVE IT! I stopped when I was 3 months pregnant with Kayla and haven't gone back because of lack of time. I've already told DH that he HAS to let me go back once this baby comes. Not only will it be good for me to get out of the house for an hour but it will help whip me back into shape faster!

That's great that you get some 'alone' time too. I love my daughter with all that I have but I really look forward to that 'alone' time sometimes.

Good Morning Ladies,

I am up early because of my stupid boy cat. Man I am so sleepy. But this will help me sleep tonight. I am going to be out of town from Wed. to Sunday evening. So if I am not here I am at my parents house getting spoiled. I talked to Jim last night and found out they are still right here close to home. Which aggrevates me. There is nothing worse than knowing he is right here but cant come home. Anyhoo..I went to bed last night weighing 119 but woke up weighing 114 1/2. I pee'd all night though. I did pretty good on my eating yesterday. But I was craving chips...so I ate tortilla chips last night. Then right before bed had two breakfast bars. Anyhoo....I will check in later. I have to do laundry today.

Morning everyone!

HEIDI: I can't concentrate either but thankfully we don't have much to do so I can play on the internet all day Our company is moving from NC to NJ and we are all being layed off--me probably in December so we are just waiting out til the end
and Eric sounds good with your last name! I like!

SHEREE: I like about 9-10 hours of sleep now too. Even though I could lay in bed for hours more I can function on that. You are not a bad person at all--that is a normal feeling. You handled it well.

Hi Lauren and Sinnrah!!!

These last couple days I am SOOO HUNGRY...I eat and feel satisfied and then like 10-15 minutes later, I am hungry AGAIN!! I am trying to eat good though
My belly is looking more pregnant and not just fat which is exciting

Hi everyone

I have gotten a cold and am not taking any medicine so I feel lousy.

All day queasiness is still in full force, but I get so hungry for certain things I could eat all day if I let myself!

Lauren, I am glad you are feeling better, lucky you for having so little morning sickness! Don't you have a doctor's appointment this week?

I stay at home with my kids and it seems I need a nap more than they do these days - growing a baby is hard work

Well, got to go, have ladies Bible study this morning!

Have a great day everyone, take care of those babies...

And Sarah, let us know how the charting is going when you get a chance!

A Couple of Things...

This morning I woke up and went to brush my teeth like I usually do. In the sink bowl was 'I love you' spelled out in toothpaste!! LOL! Then I headed to the shower and 'very much' was spelled out in there!!! How sweet of Dean!

And.......he just emailed me and has changed his mind on finding out the sex - he says we can! I am elated and saving the e-mail so I can hold him to it!!

oh LAUREN that is sooo sweet!!! What a great hubby!!!

SARAH: The charting is good so at least now you know you ovulate later than the "norm".....that will help too when you do get pg, your doc can estimate your due date better knowing you ovulate later. Sending lots of babydust your way!!!!

Morning everyone.

I can relate to the 9-10 hours of sleep. I just wish I could sleep through the whole time. I wake up at least 3-4 times a night to pee. At least one of those times I can not fall back asleep. Then it always seems when my alarm goes off I am just getting comfy and back to sleep again.

My mom keeps saying to me...."Nature is preparing you for when your baby is born." I think nature should let me sleep as much as I can before baby is born, because I know once baby is here I will not sleep much at all.

Speaking of the MIA people, I wonder how Sylv is doing...she is really close to her due date...actually we have a few people close....Summer being one of them:

Sylv.......................W38.........11/1/03
nessid...................W35.........11/23/03
Epi_Doc.................W34.........12/2/03
Sjoy76...................W33.........12/7/03

Hopefully we will hear soon!

Well as far as names I am still undecided...For a boy I am leaning towards Samuel, for a girl I am thinking Isabel. My second choice for a girl is Olivia, and I am not sure but maybe Mason as my second choice for a boy.

Well I hope everyone has a great day today!

Msbadu - I get up a zillion times a night also. Frustrating to say the least!!

I like your Mom's theories on things!

Not that you asked - but I LOVE both of your 2nd choices for names. Olivia and Mason are wonderful names!

HI everyone! How are you all this morning?

I too was wondering where Sylv is. Hope she didn’t have that little one early.

Sarah- you ovulated late this month- no? So, you should be able to test again around the 5th of November. Keeping our fingers crossed! We are dying to read that you got a (+)!!!

Lauren- your hubby sounds sweet! It’s always nice when they are as excited as we are! My husband called me yesterday at work at said “ just wanted to say I love you….. both of you”. I thought that was really sweet.

Dying to hear how your first appt goes. Do you get an ultrasound?

Heidi- I find that I daydream all day long now. I can’t concentrate either. Everything seems to revolve around the news that hasn’t sunk in yet- I’m Pregnant!! So many things are going to change!! It’s amazing how differently everything is going to be! Love the name Erik. My step daughter’s name is Olivia Kaitlynn! I am leaning towards Zachary Ryan for a boy. My hubby likes it too. Zack for short.

Sheree- my heart goes out to your co-worker. That’s awful news. Thank God it wasn’t you.

Well- question- how soon after confirming pg did you all have to move up to slightly roomier clothes? I have already gained 3 lbs and am only going into week 7. I quit smoking last week and have been snacking a little more than usual, but trying to stick to healthy stuff. My regular size 8-10’s are getting snug and it’s way too soon for maternity clothes. Think I will buy some sweats today. Right now I am in my TOM “fat” clothes. Ugghhh. I am still taking Jazzersize 3 times a week and power walking 2 miles 3 nights a week. Morning and night sickness hasn’t kicked in yet- I am sure it will.

K- back later

I'm headed to bed right now but I just had to comment on how totally sweet your husband is Lauren! That melted my heart and I'm not even married to him!! I'm such a romantic and my DH is ... umm ... not. He tries but he just isn't.

I'm so glad your DH wants to know the sex now! I can't wait to find out too!

Good night all ... I hate working nights. I feel like I miss out on so much.

Oh and Tracy, YES, I was in bigger clothes almost the minute I saw the 2 pink lines! I popped really quick. That's great that you're staying active. My MS kicked in around 8 weeks (I think) and lasted up until 13 or 14 weeks. Ugh. Thank goodness it's over.

Not sure - but I'm going to ask when we go. I can't wait!! Just one week away now!

My casual clothing stopped fitting at about 6 weeks. My work clothes stopped fitting yesterday, haha!! Today is my first maternity wear day here at work. I feel weird since I'm only 2 mos. along - but I gotta do what I gotta do. My clothes just don't fit and my belly is definitely poking! I need to take an 8-week shot - maybe tonight!

How Crazy...

My tastes are crazy, I tell ya! Last week all I wanted was grilled cheese, burgers, fries, etc.... Today - that stuff would make me vomit I think, haha! Just ran to the grocery store and came back with a salad bar tray of tuna salad, olives, pepperoni, boiled eggs, and strawberries. By the way - I HATE SALAD, so why I decided to go to the salad bar is beyond me! HAHAHAHA!!!

I dont think it makes you a bad person at all. I would feel the same way - I think being pregnant is an inherently selfish experience - I find myself all wrapped up in my own wants, needs, and fears... Maybe that explains why I am also a space cadet at work!

My tastes are changing too - I've had 2 bananas in the past 2 days and I HATE bananas... But it seems to be getting easier to eat healthy - thank goodness!

Everyones names sound really nice - I had a moments shyness when I was typing ours - was reminded of the Sinefeld episode where a couple "steals" another couple's name...

Is it nap time yet? Seriously...

Sarah - more baby dust coming your way!
