Hi All-

I'm felling a bit better today. I would rather not go to work today, but I'm going to go and try. I found out I can take Sudafed which should help. After work I'm going to go pick up a bunch of sports bras - think I'm going to try wearing them to bed. I was always an A cup before I got fat and this whole B+ stuff is wild to me.

Gotta go find breakfast and shuffle off to work - will check in later!

Sara - Glad to hear you can take something to relieve you some, hope it helps!

I totally felt like skipping work today, too! We were up until 1:30am painting and cleaning up the kitchen/dining room. What a task...but it looks good and was worth it! I'll post pics of the living room and kitchen in a week or so when I get some final touches there! At any rate, Dean and I are both exhausted today and 5am came WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYY too early!

I ate so bad last week due to the nausea I was experiencing. I haven't had any since the end of last week, though, and it's time to get back on track. I know if I continue to eat sandwiches and cereal all the time that I'll regret it later. I’m back on track starting today and hope to be successful. I opened a new Fitday account (used to use it all the time) and am going to track my intake. So far I’ve had 4 oz. of OJ (I ran out…haha), a vanilla fat-free yogurt, and some honey roasted peanuts. None of it made me want to hurl like it has been lately, so that is a good sign. With the nausea any of my normal Atkins-friendly foods made me want to barf, and even good carbs like yogurt and apples were NOT appetizing. Anywhoo, seems that my appetite is adjusting now that the nausea has passed, and I hope I can continue on the good path and not have to be cracker/sandwich dependent anymore, lol! I’m still going to have some carbs, but of course try to make them good carbs as opposed to crappy ones.

When did you ladies start having morning sickness? I am kinda expecting most anytime now. I threw down cigarretes when I found out last week I was pg, therefore I have been eating everything I can get my hands on. Bad, bad, bad. My appetite is horrendous too. I find myself waking up at 2 in the morning wanting to eat, between all the potty trips. Hope that will ease up some when the morning sickness kicks in, otherwise I will gain 100 lbs with the pregnancy. I haven't been eating very good either. I am trying to stick to apples, banannas, SF jello and pudding, raisins, granola bars, etc but have derailed a few times to the french fries and milk shakes. My "skinny" clothes are already getting tight from all the eating I have done. Doesn't help either that my hubby is saying "your eating for two"- you can worry about your weight afterward." Uggghhh. What would I do w/out him?
I know it's early- but we are tossing around names- I like Joseph Anthony for a boy, Joey for short and Megan Elizabeth for a girl. What do you guys think? He he compiling his own list from the baby name book and won't complete it until the weekend probably.

Back later-
Tracy

I started at 6 weeks and it lasted for about a week and a half - same amount of time it lasted with Mackenzie.

Cute names!! I prefer unique names to standard ones. We have a boy list and a girl list going, and add a name or 2 each time we look at the book. It’s so much fun! I'll have to post some of our top picks and see what ya'll think!

I’m with you on the eating thing, and trying to get under control this week!

I started m/s at about 6 weeks and its going strong... I've read that it should resolve by 14 to 18 weeks. I swear sea bands are my best friends! Some days are better than others. My appetite was also out of control at first, but now has mellowed out.

I dont think its too early to look at names - we have had ours picked out since we were dating! lol Nathaniel Dennis or Skylar Grace. MSN had a list of 2002's top baby names in their pregnancy section- I'd check that out - I want to avoid the really popular ones.

I think I'm starting to pouch out - hard to tell though because I had a long way to go on my weight loss goals...

Hey ladies,

Tracy- I never really had morning sickness. I only got sick to my stomach three times. And I cant remember how far along I was.

I am going to try to start eating healthier too.

I had to take some milk of magnesia last night...I was doing so good w/ not having constipation and then it happened again. But I am feeling much better now.

Anyhoo...I will check in later...I am not as tired..but still feel rather run down..but am going to make myself get up and do something.

Good Morning Everyone! Happy Monday. (if there can be such a thing)

Anyhooo.....hope everyone is having a good morning. I am doing well. My weekend was a little busy, so I am a bit tired today. From the weight I've gained and the concentration of it on my belly my body is starting to ache a little more, and I am starting to have some trouble moving around. Getting up from laying on the couch or in bed is the worst.

Morning sickness - Tracy - I might be a rare exception but I started getting morning sickness at about 5-6 weeks and it lasted heavy for me until about 17 weeks...then started to get slowly better, and by 20 weeks the worst was gone. The only thing that seemed to get me through was eating constantly...lots of small meals, mostly of saltine crackers, and drinking Gatorade. Though some days for no reason I could not even keep that down.

I hope that does not happen to you!

Neat!!! I'm definitely poking out. As of now I've been able to wear all regular work clothes, but casual wear has to be maternity. Well...today the regular work pants I have on are tight! So - starting tomorrow...maternity wear for me! I am totally poking out! Time for my 8 week picture!

Sarah- cute names!! I am with you, trying to stay away from names that are really popular. I love Madison- but 3 of my friends just named their babies that! I will wait until hubby gets through with his list and we'll put a couple together. We like Aiden, Jessica, Amber, April, Mckenzie, Chloe, Haley, Payton, Abigail for girls and Nathan, Matthew, Lucas, Gregory, Zachary, Adam and a few others for boys.

The dr's office has to have me come for a tour of the birthing facility and watch a movie before I can see the dr for the first time They said they will do a vaginal U/S at 8-10 weeks looking for a heartbeat and all. I am 6 weeks tomorrow, so that gives me two weeks to get all the paperwork they gave me filled out and take that tour. I think I won't breathe a sigh of relief of until I see HIM on ultrasound.

I will have to check out the seabands. With my daughter, MS started around 8 weeks and lasted about a month. I never threw up, only nausiated morning and night. Kept my weight down though, that's for sure.

We broke the news to all our family and our girls Sat night at Ruby Tuesday's. They were all suspicious because we invited them all out! They figured it out almost immediately. It was still fun though, my mom cried the whole time. My hubby was just beaming My girls were more interested in their chicken nuggets and mac and cheese. Last night, I showed them the pic of the baby at 6 weeks in my "what to expect when your expecting book" to help them understand. My daughter goes: It has a tail. It's not a baby. How can it be a baby and have a tail??? lol. I had to flip on through the rest of the book and show them how the baby changes and grows to be a full term baby and then they understood

The ultrasound was a HUGE relief for me! My mom was funny though - she asked "so how far along do you have to be to see if she has a thing on her?" DH is convinced its a boy - I want a girl if I get a choice - which I dont!

Morning ladies!!!

TRACY: My morning sickness--aka: all day nausea !! lasted from about 6 weeks through 10 weeks. I never threw up but just felt crappy all day. All I could stomach was pasta, cereal, fruit and bread---and eating helped a little with the nausea. Now I can eat meat again and veggies : )

As far as names go, our boy name of the month is Logan Thomas. We keep changing but I think this may be a keeper
As for girls, we can't decide/agree....I like Jessica and my DH likes Rebecca--with Layton as a middle for either. Then again I am liking Tyler Anne alot lately....I like Unisex names. Decisions, decisions.

My DH's thoughts exactly!! LOL!

Hello ladies

Had my appt at the hospital and all the worry was for nothing!! They wanted to discuss the medical condition my DH has (Von Hippel Lindau) but just to tell us that there were no tests they could perform at this stage!! WE KNOW You can't start testing until the child is five years old - I wish they had told us what it was for on the letter - then maybe I wouldn't have been so bothered!!

Talked to DH on Friday night about the smoking, hugging thing, and he is trying to stop smoking - starting by not smoking at home. YEHAH! We have since discovered that my boobs don't hurt anymore and Saturday morning re-discovered my libido!! It's so good to feel like ME again!!

Names : if it's a boy, then Ramsey Frank (his choice, not mine! ) and if it's a girl then Nina Ani

Anyway, just wanted to pop in and say hi!! We started work on the nursery e.g. cleared out some of the crap in the middle room but a LONG way to go still!!

Sheree – Glad to hear the appt. wasn’t anything you weren’t prepared for! That dang hospital shouldn’t have made you worry for nothing like that! What is Von Hippel Lindau anyway?

Hi ladies, haven't checked in for a bit. I passed my GTT (1-hour) test last week, and my weight gain has been reasonable, so the doc was pretty pleased with me.

Other than that, not much else is new. I've been craving apples - I think I've eaten 3 today! What the heck is in them that I want them so badly? Any ideas?

ttfn,

Jenn

My m/s starts between 5-6 weeks LMP and continues to about 10-11 week LMP when it starts to taper off. So there is really only about 4-5 weeks that are bad for me. It is the same EVERY FRICKING TIME too.

I am superstitious after having two miscarriages so I don't really tell many people until the 2nd trimester, I do think about names but I don't buy stuff for the baby until after about 28 weeks. I lost a baby in the second trimester and that was a real bummer after seeing him sucking him thumb on the ultrasound two days earlier. But now that I am 20 weeks and feeling the baby move I am starting to get excited. I have my 20 week ultrasound on Wednesday so we will find out if it's a boy or girl. I secretly hope for a boy to make my husband happy but I'm thinking girl.
