thought I would post it again....

Hey everyone

Sorry I have been MIA..but been taking a break from the boards.

Well the update on my docs appointment is that I have low iron. So he put me one meds for that. And I am RH negative. So I will start treatments for that when I am 6 months.

I also heard the heartbeat and it was around 160. But my doc said my insurance (which is military) wont cover ultrasounds unless they think something is wrong w/ the baby. So if we want to find out the sex of the baby we will have to pay..but it is only 100.00.

But now that I have heard the heartbeat I really want to see my baby. We found the heartbeat on the left side...so I think that is where the little thing attached. LOL

But the scales werent nice to me. Said I had gained 9 lbs this first trimester...but I was retaining fluids..cause now I am back down to my 3-5 lbs gained. He also said I was a couple of days ahead along in my pregnancy. I thought i was just 12 weeks at the time and he said I was 12 1/2 weeks. So I think I am 13 weeks now. lol

Anyways..that is what has been going on. DH is out w/ the ship and wont be back until tomorrow...

If I can I will check in then....

Also...........

Well I went to get the mail yesterday and in there was a check for 50.00. It was a reimbursment from the hospital when they were running some fertility test. I paid for something that I shouldnt have paid for...

Well my mom had a garage sale last weekend and I made 37.00 from that...so I have enough cash now to get my first ultrasound.

Funny how things work out...

good morning!

Well I need to figure out how to insert pictures into my siggy!
If anyone wants to see me, I am in the faces gallery, not sure if it is under LovebeinLPN or Vicky K.
I am so used to being close to induction levels that I am really struggling to know what maintenance levels will mean. Like how to balance fats vs. starchy carbs/fruits. I have Atkins for Life & the DANDR. Been at this since 2000.
Anyone else want to share what their day looks like? I am going to probably get back to using fitday.
My goal is to not get over 170-175 by the end of this pregnancy. I have always gained nearly 50 pounds per pregnancy except when I had gest. diabetes with my little girl & was strict with diet.
It is nice to be here & you all seem to be very neat ladies :-)

Vicky K.
maintaining for now

SINNRAH: I'm so happy you are back!! And what a cute little belly!! That's awesome that the cash came in. I would take that as a definite sign that you need to have an ultrasound!! I know I will have to find out when I'm pg.

Same ol' same here for me. Still temping and charting. I should be coming into my fertile period any time now...send me lots of good baby vibes!!

Morning everyone!

SINNRAH: Glad the $ worked out for the ultrasound. You would think any insurance would pay for at least 1 ultrasound. I have had 2 so far and I get one more December 1st ....can't wait to find out the sex. I'll be 23 weeks then so it should be obvious (if they coorperate!!) Things always work out

I am like the last one of my circle of girlfriends to have a baby. Everyone else has had one in the last year and half...I visited one of them yesterday...8 months old and she is so cute. It makes me so ready for my own!!!! I can't wait!

and with that in mind, between them all there is alot of stuff to borrow....i can't decide though--do I want new stuff or should I just borrow stuff baby won't be in long??? For example, bouncers and swings??? I dunno.....

Hi Gang-

DH and I are playing hookey today - it is a perfectly beautiful day here. In a little bit I'm going to go take a nap. We have a family wedding tonight and I dont want to turn into a pumpkin.

Sinrah - glad to see you back. The belly shot is very cute. I'm also Rh Negative, but DH is too so that should minimize problems.

Vicki - let me know how far along you are and I will add you to the list in the 1st post.

Sarah - showering bany dust your way!

Tracy - where are you?

Laura - I wish i knew people to borrow from - no one in our circle of family or frineds has little kids.

Be well all!

Well DHs blood type is positive and mine is negative...so that is the problem.

But hopefully everything will be alright. It does have me concerned but the doctor said that the medication would help prevent anything from happening.

Hi everyone!

Sarah- crossing fingers here for ya!! Have fun trying. I know I still am!

Sinrah- cute belly! You will probably not show until 5 or 6 months. Winter time is coming. Sweats are a pregnant woman's best friend!! You have military insurance? They won't pay for ultrasounds? That's messed up. I have Tricare Prime. I don't want to have to pay for each one. Whoohoo on the great test results!

Sarajewel- hookey huh? What's that??? Haven't had one of those days in ages! Enjoy!

Looper- if you plan to have more babies- buy all new stuff!! It will be worth it- you will get your money's worth!

Well- still no sign of TOM here!! 4 days late already! I am holding my breath- literally! The anticipation is killing me- wish something would happen soon. My hubby is all excited too- I think more than me. He will be real dissapointed if The Red Dragon rares it's ugly head this month.

Have a great weekend everyone and be safe!!
C-ya all on Monday

It DOES tick me off. His timing is a little off most times!

I am hoping I won't see him and by next Tuesday or Wednesday I can do another HPT.

My GYN wants me back for another Coposcopy we just did one last month and it came back abnormal- same with the pap the month before. Why can't they get it right

Have a great time on your trip!

Rebekah Marie is here!
She is 8 days old today!
She was born 10/02/03
8:24 am
7lbs. and 12 oz.
18 inches long!

I was in the hospital for 6 days doing IV's to try and keep her in me and then spent 3 days being induced! I eventually had a c-section and was so happy to meet Rebekah! I can't even imagine life without her now!
I hope you are all doing well!
Here is a picture of our little angel!

just to set your mind at ease....

I am Rh negative and dh is positive, so I have had Rhogam injections with each of my two pregnancies.

I think I got my first injections around 6 months, then another one 12 weeks later if I hadn't delivered, then another postpartum.

I had no problems at all - it really isn't anything to worry about or even be concerned about.

My first OB "forgot" that I was Rh incompatible. I was sitting watching the news one night and saw a special about a woman who didn't get Rhogam and had to have an in-utero blood transfusion. It made me remember that they hadn't given me my shot at my last appointment.

I called and it turned out she hadn't looked at the chart and it was the last week before it would have been overdue. So everything was fine, but I have learned that doctors can make mistakes so mark your calendar and make sure they give you that shot.

I also only get one ultrasound at 18-20 weeks, seems like so many people get early ones - I am envious!

farmgirl: CONGRATULATIONSl!!! I'm anxious to see a picture also!!!

Sinnrah: Great belly shot!! You are still so tiny!! I'm about to enter week 7 and am definitely starting to show. I know by the end of the month I'll probably be in full blown maternity wear!! I know it's my 2nd, but I really didn't expect to show this fast THIS soon, ya know! Oh well! It's just hard b/c none of my clothes fit, and I'm having a hard time with the inbetween stage. What bull that you get no sonogram . I'd totally fork out the cash to pay for my own, too - good for you!

LovebeinLPN: Hi there! I'm starting at 144, so we're pretty close in weight at this point. I was 150 at the start of my last pregnancy and was 204 at delivery - gained 54 pounds!! I DO NOT want to do that again, and hope to be between 170-175 for this delivery. We'llllll seeeeee!!!!

MrsSarah: Baby vibes flying your way girl!!!! I tell ya, you are going to have one gorgeous baby, I just LOVE that close up shot of you - it's beautiful!!!

Tracy: Wowsers, still no red dragon!!! That is definitely promising news! I hope it doesn't come and that you're pregnant!!! Keep us posted!!! BTW, I love Maggie - she is adorable!! What is a coposcopy?? Don't think I've ever heard of that before.

Looper: I preferred to get my own stuff when I was pregnant the first time, and it's coming in handy now with #2. I have the exercauser, johhny jump-up, furniture, awing, bouncy seat, etc..... If you plan on having more getting your own stuff would be nice! But, it's definitely more cost effective to borrow, so that might work as well! GLAD to hear your test results were good!!!

Sara: I hope you had a great day off with DH!!
