Good Morning!
Sheree - I would love to sleep on my tummy again! I'm glad you slept so well. ![]() Thanks for the feedback on breastfeeding while LC'ing. I can't wait to jump back into things. I really want to get back to normal again. It's nice to see that someone had such great success with it and has a healthy child to go along with it. ![]() Better get back to work for now. I'll be back in a bit. Oh, and thanks for the compliments on the picture. You all are so sweet. ![]() Oh, and I just lost 3 lbs from being more aware of what I've been eating. Now I'll be happy to stay here for a while and then SLOWLY go back up in the normal range for my stage of pregnancy. YEAH! Last edited by Heidi-M : 10-09-2003 at 03:54 AM. |

Hello Ladies! Happy Thursday!!
I hope everyone is doing well!!I found out on accident that Im having a 'surprise' baby shower 2 weeks from now,I guess my friend didnt know and emailed me to tell me that she couldnt make it. Should I play dumb as if I never received the email and 'act surprised?'Or should I at least let DH know (he's in on it too!) Take Care! Quote:
OHHH,how I long for that day when I can finally sleep on my tummy again!!!! |

Hi Mommies!
Sheree - how wonderful to sleep on your stomach! I get pinned into limited positions by the cats who sleep with us. Shorty - I dunno if you should let on or not... Heidi - I want to breastfeed while low carbing too. Maybe when we get to that point we can have a breastfeeding thread? I thought there used to be one but it dosent seem very active. I'm excited because my first official OB appointment is this afternoon. DH is comming with me. I'm looking forward to an 'official' due date. Hope everyone is well! |

Shorty - How fun to be getting a suprise baby shower! If it were me, I'd probably play dumb and tell my husband after the shower's over. I hate to spoil other people's fun, kwim?
Sarajewel - I think a breastfeeding thread is a terrific idea! See ya there when the time comes. Yeah on your appointment! Looking foward to your official due date too. ![]() Lauren - Good Morning! ![]() |

Multi-Grain Cheerios
Got some multi-grain cheerios last night and they’re actually really good! Even taste sweet! They are higher in nutrients than most other cereals that are considered good for you, and the carb count isn’t too scary either. I needed something other than crackers or toast to try, and thought these would be good, especially since they’re vitamin packed. I’m going to try mixing them with yogurt too, maybe it’ll add the consistency I need to actually get it down. I was fine eating it before, but now that the nausea has kicked in I can’t stomach plain yogurt.

Good Morning everyone!
Shorty- I would act surprise as if I didn't know so I wouldn't spoil everyone's fun by surprising me. They are putting a lot of hard work into it so I would keep quiet. Lauren- I go for my first appointment the same day as you, Oct 28. I can't wait to go and find out a specific day either. I'm so excited. Thanks for the advice yesterday. When I got home from work I went in our room and slept from 5:30-10:00 when my husband came and woke me up to bring me something to eat. WOW! Did I feel so much better! This morning I woke up and even had the energy to cook breakfast. Sarajewel- I am so excited for you. You must let us know how it goes. Good luck!!!!! I was listening to the news this morning as I was getting dressed and I heard that there is a new test out there for pregnant women but I didn't get to hear what the test was for. Did anyone else hear anything? Just wondering. Well I hope everyone has a fabulous day! May God Bless you! |

Cynthia - glad to hear you got some good sleep!!! Awesome!! I've been in bed by 9pm most nights, but with getting up at 4:30am I still feel like I don't get enough rest. I'll be happy when this sleepy-ness passes, haha!

Baddddddddd.......
I was bad!!! I just went to lunch at Wendy’s and got a burger, fries, and water. I know it wasn’t the best choice, but in all honesty everything Atkins-friendly was NOT at all appetizing. I had only eaten Metamucil wafers and 5 ritz crackers so far today, but still! I feel guilty, but know I’m not going to do it everyday. I hope this nausea stage passes soon so that I can go back to eating the things I normally would eat!!

new & expecting
I have lost about 40 pounds & just learned I am expecting again.
I had vowed that if I was preggers again I'd do some sort of low carb to only gain the weight that baby truly needs. Losing the 40 lbs. after my last took almost 2 years! Joining in to hopefully post & learn more :-) Vicky K. |

Hi All-
The appointment was fine. They asked a ton of questions, did a breast exam and pelvic. It was cute, my DH held my hand during the pap smear. I have to go to the lab tomarrow to have a ton of bloodwork drawn. They estimated my date at May 20th, but I have to go for an ultrasound next week for more accurate dating. Who knew this would be so complicated? PFGal - dont beat yourself up. Once the ms passes it will get much easier. Tracy - ((((hugs)))) no matter whats going on... Be well all! |

Hi everyone!!
I just read all the posts- hope all you moms and your little babies are happy and healthy!! Sara- I just found your post- sorry, it's been such a busy day. No TOM yet- still holding onto faith that he won't come either!! I am almost 3 days late. I was reading a little earlier on my lunch break that those OPK's aren't always accurate. It can give you a false positive even when you aren't ovulating because your body has natural LH surges (?) on it's own even when not fertile. So- I have charted EVERYTHING I have had going on (on the calender) for the past 5 weeks, including CM and cervical position. Maybe the date I thought I ovulated wasn't it afterall. The day I believe I ovulated due to the amount and consistency of CM would have been 25 days after the start of my period! Weird huh? Who knows- Tom will probably come during the night and I will wake up looking like the victim of a gun shot wound... as usual. Later ladies- have a good night! I'll come back later! PS- send Sarah and I baby vibes! |

Laura - at least 3 of the pounds are water from adding carbs back, so really you are only up 2. I went up 3 immediatly from water, then another 3 but now back down to the 3# of water and a pound that I bounce around. There are lots of ways to maintain at about 60 carbs a day - especially if you have added fruits. I'm not a great role model at the moment becuse the only things that seem to be ok with my morning sickness involve breads.... Fortunatly I dont seem to be experiencing rebound weight gain.
I am starting from the same weight as you - dunno how tall you are... but my OB today told me that I can gain about 20 pounds. Welcome to the group! More people will come and say hello tomarrow - we tend to go to bed early... edited to add: I'm such a space cadet I posted to the wrong thread - I used to be smart before i got pregnant! ![]()

Hey everyone
Sorry I have been MIA..but been taking a break from the boards. Well the update on my docs appointment is that I have low iron. So he put me one meds for that. And I am RH negative. So I will start treatments for that when I am 6 months. I also heard the heartbeat and it was around 160. But my doc said my insurance (which is military) wont cover ultrasounds unless they think something is wrong w/ the baby. So if we want to find out the sex of the baby we will have to pay..but it is only 100.00. But now that I have heard the heartbeat I really want to see my baby. We found the heartbeat on the left side...so I think that is where the little thing attached. LOL But the scales werent nice to me. Said I had gained 9 lbs this first trimester...but I was retaining fluids..cause now I am back down to my 3-5 lbs gained. He also said I was a couple of days ahead along in my pregnancy. I thought i was just 12 weeks at the time and he said I was 12 1/2 weeks. So I think I am 13 weeks now. lol Anyways..that is what has been going on. DH is out w/ the ship and wont be back until tomorrow... If I can I will check in then....
