Good morning ladies!
![]() Let me know if I got everyone's stats right. Stacy, congratulations on finding out you're having a baby girl! I love the name you picked and that ultrasound photo is one of the best I've ever seen. How's everyone feeling? I think the hormones are finally kicking in with my lack of patience these days. I still see so much I'd like to get done before the baby gets here and can't get myself to relax about it. Did I tell you guys we might have her at home? The birthing center is undergoing major renovations and we live just 2 minutes away, so we might go that route if there's still lots of banging going on and such. I would be confortable with that, although I was looking forward to their Jacuzzi tub during labor! If I may vent a little here, sleep is now hell for me. Not only do I get up to go to the bathroom all the time but my carpal tunnel makes my wrists/arms very numb and uncomfortable so I'm constantly flipping from side to side, which wouldn't be so bad if I didn't have to drag a pillow between my legs and another for an armrest WHILE keeping the sheet and comforter on me and WHILE grunting to carry over this 30-lb medicine ball I have for a tummy. How Brian sleeps through these fits is a mystery to me. OK, venting over. In actual fact, I AM quite excited that my time is coming and that my baby girl will be in my arms soon.Going to my 35-week appointment this morning and I think I start going more often after this. Hope everyone has a great day! Sylv |

Morning Ladies!! I love the daily thread idea...much easier!
STACY: A GIRL!!!! Congratulations!!!! Mike must be thrilled---didn't he hope for a girl??? I need to go check out that bedding you got at PBK... SLYV: Hang in there...not much longer. An at home birth, huh? I don't blame you if all that is going on at your center. SARAH: Aren't you testing soon??? Not much new with me. We went to Babies R US yesterday. What a madhouse!!! We picked out the travel system we want....didn't buy it yet though. I get so overwhelmed in there with everything to buy---we have to do it a little at a time Have a good day! Laura EDD 3-28-04 |

I'm hoping to register somewhere this time since I do have a 4 year old and don't need everything all over again (I saved my stuff). That way people will know what I really need. |

PFGal-I get the red x too.
Well guess what? I am not even out of my third month and I have to go and buy bigger clothes... I thought for sure I wouldnt have to until my 5 months..ha...what a bunch of bs.I am too big for my clothes and really too small for maternity clothes. So I am kind of screwed right now.But I have one pair of jeans that I can wear and thank goodness my skirts are stretchy. but Jim told me to go ahead and get some maternity clothes. but I think I am just going to buy some bigger pants for now..and then when I really start showing I will buy maternity clothes. How soon did you all have to buy new clothes? I feel like it is too soon..or I am still in denial. ![]()

STACY - A girl!!! How cool! YAY!
SYLV - I know what you mean... I'm dreading that this time around. With Allison, I had the same thing... I'd go from bed to couch back to bed all night. UGH. Once the baby is here, it's all worth it though. LAURA - Babies R Us is always a madhouse it seems. Although I love that place. I had my midwife appt. on Friday, and we ended up staying for an hour and a half. LOL! Talking, asking questions, etc... We heard the baby's heartbeat, and Allison was amazed. She also said that the heartbeat sounded like a boy's... She told me that she could be wrong, and we won't know until we decide to to the ultrasound, but it sounded like a boy's... Well, we went to the in-laws' this weekend, and his mom gave me Hank's Christening Gown. I'd love to use it, if the baby will fit. Hank was smaller than what I'm expecting this one to be, so we'll see... ![]()

As for me - I hated the inbetween time. I either wanted to show or not show! I was scared to death people would think I was just gaining a lot of weight, haha! So, to me, wearing the clothes that made it obvious made me happy. Last edited by MrsIndpndent : 09-29-2003 at 09:14 AM. |

JENN: How cool about the christening gown!! I hope it works.
SINNRAH: I am 14 weeks and wearing maternity pants. I can still wear some of my regular pants but they are uncomfortable around my belly. I wore some maternity jeans from Old Navy yesterday and they were SOO comfortable. A little big and plenty of room for expansion but so much more comfy than trying to wear my reg. stuff. At least they make me look more pregnant and not just fat(-ER) And for tops, I just got bigger sizes..I wear alot of button down shirts not tucked in anyway.PFGAL: I figure I'll end up buying some of the pricey baby stuff--travel system, nursery furniture, bedding, etc....Hoping I get alot of other stuff for showers. Looking at all that really got me in the baby zone! Last edited by looper2 : 09-29-2003 at 09:32 AM. |

Looper-yea I guess I am just really down today. I feel like my body is changing way too soon. I am just a freaking basket case today. I dont want to do anything except crawl back into bed and stay there..but I cant. I have to exercise, make sure I freaking eat, and then do some "chores" around the house.
I know I should be soooo thrilled..but today is not that day. ![]() |

Sinnrah: I think I bought bigger clothes around 14 weeks and maternity clothes at the end of my 4th or 5th month. I felt like I started showing right away too!

SINN - Hang in there girlie... You're having a rough time of it today, and it might last a day or two more, but then you'll have some really good days too. It's all normal. Talk to your doc or someone else, and get some opinions on what you can do to feel better.
Also, go put on some makeup and get pretty. That usually seems to work for me on a blah day. Maybe you could also go and get some non-maternity dresses that are stretchy. I'm wearing mine, and I think I'll be able to through the whole transition period. SUMMER - That's awesome about the test results! PFGal - Same here... Red X.... Sorry! |

Have you girls tried the rubber band trick for your jeans? Works well for a little while. You take a rubber band and loop it through your button hole, and then put it around the button... Gives you and inch or two.
