Hmmmm....what do you consider a LOT of sex? I have noticed no correlation between frequency of sex and weight loss, other than the more weight I lose, the more sex I seem to have
That's because I have more energy and feel more like it, and because my DH really likes the new me! Seriously, I don't think more sex would make you NOT lose weight. On the contrary it's good exercise so should help you lose. (Edited to say "I don't think more sex would prevent you from losing weight" That's what I meant to say)

The only sex-related thing I can think of that would prevent weight loss would be...um...pregnancy.
Your body releases estrogen whether you have sex or not. Even nuns produce estrogen. |

The average sex act uses up 150 calories. By "average" I mean, just the usual thing, no swinging from chandeliers, chasing each other up and down the stairs. Sounds to me as if you could lose a bit of weight during the process.

Negatory, good buddy.
Sex is good for muscle tone, complexion, hair thickness and texture, and the soul. And it's good exercise if you do it in an athletic manner (Ever since I got a boyfriend and started having sex on a regular basis [me on top most of the time], my arms have gotten pretty buff, as have my thigh muscles.) Now, the post-sex munchies might make you gain weight, though, since sex always seems to make you want a sandwich afterwards. |

This thread is just too funny! I was thinking that the only part of sex that would make you gain/stop the losing is getting pregnant, but now I'm wondering. I seem to have pretty much stopped losing the past few months since I started having sex regularly. Still not willing to give it up.
