Mrs. Sarah - Trying!
Tracy2 - Trying!

Hope I got everyone!

Welcome Nicole! I am due December 7th and I have my level II u/s tomorrow! I am soooo excited to see if we can find out the sex. I am a little p*ssed off that my MIL has invited herself to come with hubby and me to see the u/s because I really wanted to just share it with him but i have decided to keep my mouth shut. I guess I can be glad that she wants to be involved.

Thanks everyone for the condolescenses for my grandma. I am feeling much better today now that I am back to work and feeling normal again.

My little one is starting to move more and more now...at least, I am starting to feel it anyway. I really look pregnant now and I really have to start watching my salt intake. According to the scale I gained 6 lbs overnight and I know it is because we had Japanese food last night. I am hoping that 100 oz of water today will take care of that. Gulp.

I am copying from the other thread my post I did this morning.......I forgot it was a new week!!!

Good Morning Ladies!! Hope your weekend was good!

Sjoy: So sorry to hear about your grandma. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Tracy: I am 5 weeks, 1 day today ! My first appoinment isn't until August 11th. It seems so far away!!! Sending lots of babydust your way!!

Welcome Nicole!! Glad your triple screen went well! and yes, we plan on finding out the sex asap!!

My weekend was good. We told my parents, in-laws and my grandma. They are all very excited and giving unsolicted advice!! which is going to drive me crazy!

Thanks to everyone for their input on my ketosis.......I did figure out what my problem / why I was in ketosis some.........I was going too long between snacks/meals....for example, I was eating lunch at noon but not eating again until 6/6:30 or I a would eat dinner at 6:30 and not eat until morning.....SO I am trying to eat more spread out small meals and drinking a glass of milk before I goto bed. It seems to be working--thank goodness. I was getting worried.

Does anyone know if it is ok to go out on a boat in the lake while pregnant?? I am thinking as long as we are not bouncing around alot and hitting lots of wakes, I will be ok???? We mainly just go park and swim and lay out What do you think?????

Have a wonderful day!!

PS- SARAH: Crossing fingers for you today!!!!!!!!

Morning Looper! I would guess that going out on a boat would be OK as long as its in calm waters. If you are unsure at all, though, you should call your doc's office and ask them. Better safe than sorry!

Morning ladies! Well, today is the day that I predicted TOM. We'll see if it rears its head today or not. I have some pg tests at home, so if I don't start today, I may test.

LOOPER: Thanks for the good luck wishes!!

SUMMER: Sorry about your grandma. I'm also sorry that your MIL is inviting herself along. How rude! Why do people do that?? Drink your water today. You are right, you most likely are just retaining water. {{HUGS}}

HI Sarah! Thanks for the encouragement. I am sure its just water retention but yowza, 6 lbs was a huge shock!!! Anyway, wishing you lots of baby dust today. About my MIL......

I really do love her. I mean, she really is one of my best friends and we spend a lot of time together. My husband even jokes that I am closer with her than he is... and they are very close. I just get peeved sometimes when she assumes that she is invited. I feel bad about being upset because she has already offered to babysit two days a week and really only does these things out of the goodness of her heart but darn it I wanted to share this just with my DH! Well, I'm sure she'll take us shopping and out to lunch after.

1st ultrasound today

I'm only just at 8 weeks today, so no help on the sex, but it will help them date me more closely, and it will be fun anyway

Good Morning Mommies.

I was out of town Friday-Sunday so I haven't had anytime to check in.

SUMMER: OMG how will you sleep tonight? I'd be bouncing off the walls if my big US were that close. What time is your appt.? Will you be able to check in with and update ASAP??

LOOPER: I think you'll be fine out on the boat, my Dr. just said no rough boating & no jetskiing. I guess all that bumping around isn't good. Have fun, soounds nice and relaxing. I love boating and sunning.

I'm proud to report that I ate so well this weekend, not one bite of crap crossed my lips. I feel so much better, I really think all the sugar I was eating was zapping my energy and making me cranky. Now, don't get me wrong I'm still keeping my carbs around 40-50 a day, they are just mostly coming from protein, veggies and fruit. I just had to make it up in my mind that sweets & chips were not going to help me stay in a healthy weight range.

Sheeessh that was long winded.

SARAH: Test already, how can you stand the wait girly??

Okay, I'm off to pick up some lunch and then I'll come back and catch up on the posts I missed last week.

Yay you added my name! I am 8 weeks now. I go to my first doctor's appt tomorrow.

Very impressed with lowcarbinmama if you can keep your carbs at 40-50 a day. I did that in the beginning but now the nausea isn't as bad and I'm starting to get HUNGRIER. I've been trying to stay under 70 carbs a day. I guess that's not too bad because I was still losing at 40 carbs a day. As long as I'm out of ketosis I think it's fine. I've gained 2 lbs anyway so I'm obviously not starving!

Summer, I think that is really great you are that close to your MIL. And that she wants to be involved and that you want her involved, but you should speak up sometimes, because I'm afraid it may get worse. (maybe!)
Soon it will be she will want to go pick out the theme for the nursery also. I know I would want it to be just DH and I. After that she may assume she is welcome in the delivery room.
Don't get me wrong, I think it is great. But watch out, and be sure to speak up if you aren't comfortable. This is the first baby for you and DH, that is very special. There are somethings that should just be the 2 of you.

Hey you guys...I found some great yogurt...

Found some great yogurt at Trader Joe's
It says Total 0% Greek Yogurt. Says it's produced in Greece. I found it in the dairy case. A decent 5oz tub has only 80 calories and 6 carbs! I added some vanilla da vinci's and it tasted EXACTLY like vanilla sweetened yogurt. Some fruit will be great too.

So if you have a Trader Joe's where you are, check it out. They have a lot of great Atkins and low carb stuff. All the carbolite chocolate bars, candy, Atkins cruncher chips - all sorts of things.

Oh Sarah, I am sorry. I totally understand how disappointing it is to get that negative result. We started trying last August and I just thought it would happen quickly. When it didn't, I was all worried---I started charting and using those predictor kits, etc.....that stressed me out even more. I quit all that and it finally happened on its own.

You have the right attitude! Just keep trying. Be patient. Don't stress about it. Enjoy being a newlywed!! It will happen!!!!

Sending lots of babydust your way!!

SARAH: My first test was negative, but 2 days later when TOM still hadn't showed I tested again and got a +++++!
Either way, keep your chin up, I'm thinking of you sweetie.

Okay so I'm DYING to find out the sex of Summers baby!!! I really, really, really hope she can pop in later. HOW EXCITING!

Hi gals!

I ate so much this weekend. I'm afraid to get on the scale. I seriuosly need to gulp some water too. I have an appointment on Thursday and I know I'm gonna get crap if I gained anything. We had a great time at the fair though. My daughter was so cute. Here's a picture of her with her face painted. She acted so dainty afterwards ... it was cute. She looks just like her daddy.

I'm now in week 12. Thank goodness the first trimester is over with. Now I'm just waiting for some energy to kick in. I know I need to get off my tush for that to happen. I keep thinking about it but never get around to doing it. Gotta get some motivation!

Summer - Yikes! Drink up girl! I can't wait to find out what you're having.

Looper - Glad you found out what was causing your ketosis. I'm not sure about the boat. I would think it would be okay though. Have fun!!

3Diva - Good luck at your U/S. I had my first at 7.4 weeks and I love seeing my little bean. I can't wait to see him/her again!

Stacy - Great job this weekend! I REALLY need to get on track. I'm not even keeping track of my carbs right now. Someone help me!!

Diane - What a cute little girl you have! And you're pretty too.

Tigerlily - Thanks for the yogurt tip. I have a Trader Joe's nearby. I'll check it out!

Sarah - Hang in there girl ... maybe it's still too early! Try again in a couple days. (HUGS)

Okay, I better get some stuff done. Take care everyone!

Sarah: You never know you might still be pg...maye you tested to early. I will keep my fingers crossed for you. If not this month then next month!

Well Its amazing how long our list keeps getting each month...more and more of us. Its nice to have al the support.

I have started to gain kindove a lot. To date I have gained about 20lbs. NOT how much I want to have gained so far (16w 6days). Considering I was sooo sick in the begining and actually lost some weight to now be gaining so much is a little scary. I have been eating things that are not so low carb (sandwiches mostly), and really eating a lot of fruit. At least 2-3 pieces a day (usually a bananna, nectarine, and an orange or some berries). I think because I lost 50lbs right before getting pg my body is gaining weight more easily...like the space is still there so the fat just settles right in.

I upped my work outs lately, being that I have started to feel better and have more energy. So hopefully that will plateau my weight gain a little. I have my next appointment with my midwife next Friday, so hopefully she will not be upset with me over my gain, and hopefully we will be scheduling a u/s soon. (fingers crossed)

Sarah- were keeping our fingers crossed for you! Test again in a few days. Implantation symptoms can mock pms symptoms and make you think you are about to have your period. Spotting and cramping as well as breast tenderness. I am trying too. We just went through our 5 days of fertility time and !OMG! I don’t think I want to try again for a month! I think we need a 3 week rest at least! I can test 3 days before TOM is expected which is 2 weeks away.

Laura- you are sooo right about stressing out over it and it not happening. I have heard so many people say that when they just quit trying and enjoyed the act and being together- boom- there it was! (I act like I don’t care when it happens, but I am such a liar)

Heidi- your little one is a doll! Lots of hair. How old?

Summer- I think it’s great your’re close to your MIL. I am too. Only she’s had enough DIL’s with her son’s throughout the last 25 years to know not to overstep her boundaries. I always said if the world exploded in a huge fire ball the only things to escape would be the IRS, ****************roaches and MIL’s. lol (just kidding)

Have a great day all you soon to be new mommies-
Tracy

TRACY I used one of those "test 3 days before tests" actually it was First Response brand and it didn't work for me.
I tested negative untill I had actually missed my period.
Just wanted to let you know so you don't get discouraged if you get a neg. the first time.
I spent SO much money on HPT's, I tested all 3 days before my period and nothing.

Morning everyone! Stacey, sorry I didn't get a chance to check in yesterday but we left at 8 am and didn't get home until 9 pm. After the ultrasound we went baby shopping and out to lunch then to a movie, yada, yada, yada....it ended up being a long day. BUT, the ultrasound went great! The technician doesn't comment on anything that might be ok/wrong with the baby because at my doc's office they send the results to a radiologist and we don't get to hear from them for like another week but she did tell us that

************************************IT'S A GIRL!!!

I am so excited! I really wanted a girl but I didn't want to tell anyone because deep down inside I really just wanted a healthy baby. So, here is a pic of the outfit her daddy bought her yesterday. He was so funny cuz he about had a stroke when he saw the price tags (it cost over $100!!) but he said he wanted to buy his little girl her very first outfit. How sweet is that!

Here's a pic:

Sarah: Don't give up! I took like 8 pregnancy tests that came back negative. I was 6 weeks pregnant before mine came back positive!! Just keep up the positive attitude and enjoy your new marriage.

Heidi: your little girl is so cute!!
