Morning everyone!

My Triple Screen results came back perfectly normal!!! Yeah!!!

I am so anxious for my u/s that i can hardly stand it. Feeling pretty good these days except I noticed a few tiny stretch marks starting to appear. I was feeling really kind of gross and unattractive and my dh made a joke about it and i started bawling! I think he felt really bad because he sat me down and told me that the thing he wants most out of life is to have babies with me and that my body will go through some changes but they are temporary and he will never think I am gross or unattractive. I didn't totally believe him but it did make me feel better....i mean, i know he is sincere about the baby part but i don't see how he can't think I am somewhat unattractive right now. Does anyone else feel this way about themself right now? I definitely don't have that whole pregnancy glow thing going on.

tigerlily: I saw your reply on the previous weeks thread and all i can say is i did the same thing. i mean, whatever you can do to make it through the nausea is what you have to do. and, vanilla pudding...yummm! I have been craving chocolate cake soooo bad that I may have to buy a cake on the way home tonight. I wonder if I will be able to eat only one piece!

Summer - I feel very much the same. I can not button or zip up the front of any of my jeans or shorts anymore. Unless they are the stretchy kind. My stomach is sticking out now and I look 1/2 between pregnant and just like I have gained a few pounds around the waist line.
I broke down and bought one pair of maternity capri pants and a shirt. Its a really cute outfit, but when I wear it I look really pregnant. I got it home tried it on and started crying. I just feel so strange about the way my body is changing, and how I am putting on weight.
I feel like people look at me and are saying..."is she pregnant, or just fat?" Being that I am at that almost looking pregnant stage, 16 weeks. So I can totally relate!

On the bright side, I am puking less...morning sickness is finally fading. However I am starting to find an increase in hunger, and cravings. Plus THIRST! I am soooo thirsty....I swear I could drink gallons and gallons of water and juices and still be thirsty!

Good afternoon ladies!! I'm still here, just haven't been feeling up to posting much lately. I'm feeling the same way most of you are. Just fat and blah!! All I seem to wear is drawstring pants and I'm just starting week 9!! I can't stop eating crap, like right now I'm eating cheese fries!!

SUMMER: When is your unltrasound? How exciting, you'll be able to find out the sex of the baby, right?

Hi Stacey!

My u/s is July 29th! We should be able to find out the sex as long as the baby is turned the right way, etc. I am soooooo excited that I can hardly stand it anymore!

Can I join your group?? I just found out yesterday I am pregnant!! 4 weeks 1 day today. My husband and I are very excited as I went off BC pill in July last year. We have been trying for the most part ever since. I don't have my 1st DR appointment until 8/11. Based on online calendars--my EDD is 3/28/04 !!

I have been on and off Atkins for over 2 years now and have always been lurking on these boards. I am excited to have someone to chat with

I am 33..will be 34 next Saturday and have been married 5 1/2 years.
I have been really tired and nauseous these past couple days. I need to go home and take a nap ...........

STACY: Thanks for the welcome! Yep, this is our first! We haven't told anyone yet but are dying to-- I don't know how long we can stand it. My dad's b'day is end of August so if we can wait til then to tell, it would be cool but I doubt it will happen.

I am so confused on what to eat/ not to eat, calories to consume, etc......I don't want to gain alot of weight--more than necessary you know as I am already overweight. I hope the DR can give me some info on that.

STACY: No, I haven't told my parents. I don't know why, but we just both don't want to say anything to anyone until we are pregnant. I don't want a million questions from my family about it. So, we're just trying secretively! LOL!! My parents will DIE when they find out. My mom will be SO excited!! When I do get pregnant, I think I'm going to make a card for them and have it be from the baby to them, talking to it's grandparents. I think it'll be cute.

Sarah that is a cute idea! I didn't even have to really tell my parents. When we went to their house the day we were planning on telling them the first thing my mom said when she saw me walk in was, "you're pregnant aren't you!!!!" Somehow she knew!

I think we have decided to tell my parents this weekend. I just have to figure out a cute way.......I thought about getting a cute baby themed frame and putting "Coming March 2004" in it OR I saw a cute thing on another bulletin board----putting a T-shirt on my dog saying "I'm gonna be a big brother" and just let my parents figure it out......just thinking of my bulldog with that on it makes me laugh

and my dogs have been my babies for awhile now!
I am just ready to tell EVERYONE!

LOOPER: I hear ya, it was SO hard to keep it a secret. We ended up telling anyone that would listen.

Putting a shirt on your dog is a cute idea.

SARAH: You are smart to keep it to yourself that you guys are trying. That is one thing I won't do again (tell everyone we are trying) it gets annoying having everyone ask you "have you started yet?", trust me people will ask ANYTHING, right down to "Are you having alot of sex?" I think it's better to just keep your trying between the 2 of you.

I'm feeling a little better today. But man am I packing on the pounds!! I weighed 141 today!! I've GOT to stop eating crap, but it seems to be all I crave lately.

Last night I went home from work and took a nap 6:00-7:30 and then went back to bed at 9:00! zzzz.....snooooozeeee.....thats all I want to do.

Hello !
I would like to join this group also--I am the same as Looper--4 weeks pregnant, due date March 24th (according to the babycenter.com site).
We told our parents this past weekend---I couldn't NOT tell them, but other than that, no one else knows. I am bursting to tell everyone I know !
I am very concerned about packing on an unreasonable amount of weight during this pregnancy--it is my first, and I am not sure what to expect! Any advice?
I am using fitday.com to track what I put in my mouth, and make sure it is the most nutritious it can be. That said, I have had on-again, off-again nausea, but no cravings so far (except for an absurd amount of seltzer water--I could drink buckets of it at a time).
This is such an exciting time for us. My husband and I are both 30 , and have been married for 5 years--however, I have to take the bar exam in 10 days---needless to say, my head is not in the studying at all. Terrible !
Looking forward to lots of advice

Hi Aquaria!! We are pretty similar--4 weeks PG and married 5 years!! I have been using FitDay too. I just don't know how many calories I need a day. I know I want to watch my bad carbs though......although i think that will be hard as this all progresses.
I am pretty nauseous (sp?) in the mornings and after lunch already.....i hope it doesn't get worse.

I havent been online for a few days and dont plan on being on for long now. I have been going through the pre/early labor signs since Wednesday. I ended up in labor and delivery on the weekend thinking it was time, but unfortunately because the baby is still not engaged, my cervix went from 4 back to closed. I have been waiting as patiently as possible the last couple of days now. I have an apt with my GD dr today, as I havent been eating much and therefore not taking my insulin. Please send labor vibes my way everyone and pray that this baby engages itself and stays that way. It has been engaged a couple times but then goes back up. grrrr.

I have been going through the pre/early labor signs since Wednesday. I ended up in labor and delivery on the weekend thinking it was time, but unfortunately because the baby is still not engaged, my cervix went from 4 back to closed. I have been waiting as patiently as possible the last couple of days now. I have an apt with my GD dr today, as I havent been eating much and therefore not taking my insulin. Please send labor vibes my way everyone and pray that this baby engages itself and stays that way. It has been engaged a couple times but then goes back up. grrrr. Have a good week!
