Gotta love vanity sizing!!! I have a few like that! All my size 2's are vanity sized. What's frustrating is when you get a brand that runs the opposite! Some things even a 6 is too small.

And on the subject of annoying... I logged into my daughter's college webadvisor to make sure I had all her books and stuff and it showed her as having NO classes. They'd dropped her from all of them. She has a $1000 scholarship and a $2750 loan that more than covered it all. I happened to get off work early because I went in at 6am again so I pick her up and we go up there. We had printouts showing all her stuff being paid by the loan and etc.

Anyway, we ended up having to reregister and all but the math class was still available (I've already bought all her books by now of course through this FB group I'm in) but they were able to squish her in it because they allow like 1 or 2 extra I think for droppage.

No one is able to explain why they were dropped for nonpayment when I have a printout showing it was clearly paid. In fact, she had a -$1600 balance! I talk to financial aid and they say that for a first time student loan we have to pay the tuition up front and the loan reimburses it 30-60 days later. I was floored.

WHO in their right mind would take out a student loan KNOWING that you'd have to front the money first and then get reimbursed with a loan that you have to pay back with interest? If I'd have know that we were paying the money anyway I wouldn't have let her take out the loan anyway. Is that crazy or what? When I was in school loans never worked that way... You get loan, pay tuition, pay back loan. Like it should be!

Now I'm just thankful I sought out all her books on FB and ended up paying $95 for 5 courses instead of the $700 it would have been at the bookstore - because I'd have been paying that out of pocket today too!!

I'm looking at my graph and realize my weight went crazy right when my work schedule went crazy too. I was doing good, trending down then BOOM work crap amped up, now it's calming down and so is my weight again!

That can not possibly correct ~ I think financail aid is trying to cover up their mistake. My daughter applies for the loan, it pays her tuition, and then we pay whatever is left. It was the same when I went to graduate school 10 years ago.

My husband left with my daughter to drive her back to Chicago. she is starting her junior year; when will my heart accept what my head already knows: she doesn't live with us anymore, she just visits. I started out the morning using my sadness as an excuse to eat off plan, and had part of a donut "I bought for my son" (yeah, right) . I'm back on track now and cleaning the house because we will be having several different house guests in the next two weeks.

I'm not there yet, but I will be. Right now mine will be living at home and going to a local college. TBH I *want* her to go. It'd be so good for her.

My most recent weight graph. 6.2 pounds back down from the top dot weight recently. Just cracking down works. Being honest, ring realistic about hunger and eating NEEDS. I didn't need to eat all that late night stuff.

The erratic up and down is during the go live at work where my hours were all screwed up and meals were usually protein drinks for lack of a lunch break. Now that that is settling down and I'm more conscious about food I'm trending down again - I actually hit below the trend line!

Me and my weird hobbies lol... so glad my weight doesn't hold me back anymore (not that I ever THOUGHT it did), what hold back was there was not emotional, but physical... I don't think I could even cross my arms like that at my heaviest and I was sweating after swinging these things around for just several minutes (they are heavy!) even now that I am in such better shape. But these weird hobbies... they come from the real me.... now I am an UNRESTRAINED weirdo!

Thanks Heather! I might post another of me and my neice, that shows how my lower tummy looks in tight jeans since my lower body lift (my favorite result of my LBL is being able to wear shirts that don't fall all the way to my upper thigh to hide the excess skin roll)!! But my boobs look so huge in that pic.... I swear it was the bra lol anyway I might post it later.

Another half pound down since yesterday. Well almost. It's was 0.4 pound. I even shared some popcorn with the doggies last night as a "special".

Hopefully I can keep it up today!

Mary - I totally understand and agree about wearing shorter shirts! Of all my procedures, my tummy tuck is the one that I couldn't have done without. Post the pic - big boobs are a bonus, right?

What do you eat when you're not hungry?

I ate 2 oz of mozerella for breakfast... and that was at 830am. I have been sipping on coffee and water. I am not hungry at all, and the thought of food is making me sick... but I know I should eat something, right? *sigh*

OK here is the picture. Size 12 "skinny jeans". On another note, isn't my niece adorable? Half Indian half my brother (mostly Irish with auburn/copper hair).

Mary - You and your niece both look great! Love your hair, btw... Someday you will have to help me post my bikini pic... I wish I was a bit more of a techy...

Gymnopedie - I'd also say a protein shake, too... Or maybe a scrambled egg? Yogurt?

I do find that eating less I am craving less... I had myself eating maybe 8 times a day instead of 5 or 6... Not to mention, the amount I can eat has changed - or maybe I can eat more depending on what it is I am eating. I can eat an amazing amount of ice cream (I think it must run out faster...) but not nearly as much tunafish or chicken. Makes sense to me - now to just do what I know is best!

pretty funny.... a friend asked me what I am doing / have done today and my response was

"Well, I slept in... and I just took a picture of my belly button... So, YA"

he sent back "hahahahahahahahahahaha "

Another .4 pounds down. Baby steps. Yesterday I was up 3 from all the salty stuff I craved over the weekend but this morning that's gone plus another 0.4. I'm less than 3 pounds from being back in a more comfortable zone - 140's. "Home" is 145ish. That's less than 8 pounds away. I'd like to see 139 by the end of the year, and I know I can get there. Maybe not by then, but I can. I don't think I want to get down to where I was at 133. I don't have a high percentage of body fat at 140 so I think I'll be content just under that. I still fit into my 4's although they were a little snug there for a bit. It's better now even with just 6-7 pounds gone. I realize I'm focusing on numbers again, which I had gotten away from for a bit. But that's before I gained the 10-12 pounds since February and it really does need to be a numbers game sometimes.

This morning when I ran my 3 miles (well... ran 2.24, I jogged the last .75 because I came home and swapped out Molly for my older dog!) I didn't think about how it sucked. I didn't think about how it was a workout. It was a run. And I enjoyed it. It's wasn't a chore or it wasn't exercise. And I remember not too long ago when 3 miles was painful. 2 miles was hard. And today I realized it had actually become enjoyable. Go figure.

So how do I count the 90 minute weight lifting class I'm taking on ************? It's not a full 90 min workout---obviously but we do multiple sets of different exercises--arms, legs, butt. I have no clue how to enter it.

Are there LONG periods of rest between sets or just a minute or two breaks to rest and reset. If the first I would estimate the time actually worked, if the second I would count all 90 give or take.

There really isn't much break. Just set up to the next set or different exercise, weight, etc. I'm not using weight yet. I'll bring the dumb bells tonight and use them for my arms but she wants me to get the proper form down before really doing the weights.

Lost three more lbs. Wow it's going slow.

Everyone looks great.

Not been myself lately. Son headed off to college. He's a junior. First apartment w/five guys. It's an on campus apt so at least I know it's safe.

DD started her final year of HS on Monday as well. Sigh.

One more year of band competitions and football games.

But I'm feeling better... kind of. LOL

Hi Guys.

I just wanted to introduce myself - I have been on/off lowcarb for years - it's truly the only way of eating for me that makes me feel good - you would think it would be easier for me to stick with.

I had RNY in 2004 and lost around 100 pounds - I was a lightweight at 241 but had several other health issues. I got down to 138 for about 20 minutes and my body settled in at 140ish - comfy size 8. Well comfy clothes size - STILL not comfy in my own body but that's a whole 'nother post.

I did really well at maintaining for about 4 years and then the scale started to creep - I stopped working out and started stress eating again due to my job. This past year has been horrible with job eliminations and family issues and I hit a high of 190. All that hard work and here I am again.

I have finally decided that work and life challenges are going to come and go but my body is with me for the duration so I better work on that first and let the other things happen as they may.

I have been detoxing this week just to feel better and if the scale moves down I will take it. So far so good - just the usual detox symptoms. I am hopeful but don't imagine this will be easy now that I am 44 and in peri-menopause but I am in it for the long haul.

Anyhow just wanted to say hi.

Oh BTW you will find I have a snotty sense of humor - my name PrettyGirl is snarkiness for the people who say "but your such a pretty girl - you should lose some weight!" Just wanna poke them in the eye.

I look forward to getting to know all of you and hope you all have a wonderful day!

PG

Welcome!

Your story sounds like mine...similar anyway.

I had a revision last June and I'm 48 and in meno. and I've only lost about 45 lbs in over a year but I'll take it.
