When you *first* lose all the weight your face might look too thin. But don't listen to people. They are comparing you to the old you's face, if that makes sense. Of COURSE it's too thin compared to that!

I know I've posted these pics before, but The Color Run pic is me at 145. The other is me at 133 or 135. Not a lot of difference in size. Actually I think I look smaller in the heavier pic. It's muscle, not bulk. But in neither do I think I look gaunt at all.

Lol! Okay, I just picked some up. I'll read about them.

The water push seems to be working. How is it we can have so much in us???? No wonder I gained weight!

Hi Ladies! I missed y'all! I've been out of town for a few days... You know, I started taking fiber suppliments (kinda like big, chewable sweet tarts) and they have seemed to help. I stopped taking exlax, which I knew wasn't good for me. Still, I think I will try the magnesium you are talking about. Sorry to be a little TMI, but I don't know, how eating so much less, I can produce so much and how difficult it is to move things along! I also eat certain things and can just about watch my stomach inflate! I guess it must be certain sugar alcohols... Just another reason I need to lay off so much fake sugar.

I walked easily 5 or 6 miles yesterday - I was at an Orlando amusement park... I had bbq for lunch, so that wasn't to bad carb-wise anyway. I am glad to be home, however. It was ungodly hot. I bought about $40 of water for me and my kids throughout the day! I hate those prices!!!!

I made lc pizza last night for dinner. 3 different recipes. The best was Buittoni's grain free focaccia bread made into pizza. Delicious. My pizza had sauteed garlic spinach and homemade alfredo sauce on it. I could only eat about 1/2 a slice but it was really good.

Tonight we're having wings. Love wings.

I made the LC pizza that uses eggs and shredded cheese for the crust, and topped with with some Hunt's low-sugar spaghetti sauce, pepperoni, ground beef, mushrooms, and some green pepper. In my pre-surgery days I would add cream cheese to the crust and lots more toppings, but it was delicious. I even had some for breakfast today.

This is the best lc bread I've ever had.

Grain free focaccia bread
½ c. almond flour
¼ c. golden flax meal
¼ c. unflavored, unsweetened whey protein powder
1 tsp. baking powder
1 T. oat fiber
3 T. softened cream cheese
2 beaten large eggs
1 c. grated Monterrey Jack cheese
½ c. grated Mozzarella cheese
1 tsp. cider vinegar
1 T. heavy cream
1 T. water
Spices of your choosing sprinkled on top. I used my 8-Seed Spice Blend.
DIRECTIONS: Preheat oven to 350º. Soften cream cheese in medium mixing bowl in microwave. Beat in the eggs, cream, water, vinegar and both cheeses. Measure and add in all the dry ingredients and stir well with a rubber spatula. Line a sheet pan either with parchment paper or silicone sheet. Scrap the batter onto the prepared pan, spreading it as evenly as possible with the spatula into a rectangle that is roughly 10″x13″. Batter will be about ¼” thick. Sprinkle on spices if using any. Pop bread into 350º oven and bake for about 20 minutes or until done to the touch in the center and lightly browned around the edges. Cool a few minutes and cut evenly into 9 “slices. When totally cool, store in plastic bag in refrigerator.
NUTRITIONAL INFO: Makes 9 large slices, each contains:
149 calories
11.5 g fat
3.5 g carbs, 2.1 g fiber, 1.4 g NET CARBS
10.1 g protein
8-Seed Spice Blend:
1 T. coriander seeds
1 T. black peppercorns (I use a mixture of black and red)
2 T. dehydrated onion (I used dried shallot)
1 T. sesame seeds
1 T. caraway seeds
1 T. Nigella seeds
1 T. dark whole flax seeds
1 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes
1 T. poppy seeds
2 T. dried minced garlic

So it's 150 calories and 12g of fat per piece that is roughly 1" x 12"? I'm trying to get a sense of how much each serving is and how much of the serving I could eat.

I bet if you made it thinner you could make a crispy pizza thin crust outta it.

I did make a pizza crust out of it. I couldn't even eat half a piece. The piece is pretty big---more like 3" x 4". You could use lower fat cheeses to lower the fat and calories if you wanted.

No general plan for food today. I forgot I had a 730 meeting this morning so it was a mad rush to get out of the house. Got here at 731 in a ponytail (I did at least run the CHI over it to smooth it out a little!) and no makeup. Thank goodness for scrubs lol.

So breakfast was a protein drink. Lunch will be dependent upon what they have in the cafeteria, but I have an apple, an orange and a protein drink in my bag. I also have some protein bars in my desk just in case. Speaking of desk, I'm about to have to give up some of my storage space in the office because we are hiring a physician support person and they'll need somewhere to live. I'm keeping all my overhead storage though darn it, just giving them the one file cabinet on my right because it's closer to their desk. Their desk also has my big ol' laserjet printer on it too but there's nowwhere else to move that either... oh well, I've accumulated too much stuff up here in the past 2 1/2 years in this position anyway.

I should just know by now that the cafeteria is usually a wash...

They had chicken spaghetti, pork loin, chicken tortilla soup, or chili con carne (which could have been a good choice if it were not for the layer of grease floating on the top!). Salad bar is always a fail too as it's really not much of a SALAD bar and more of a lettuce, dressing and cheese bar. SO protein it is.

All day meeting today. I wore my bright red pencil skirt, black patterned hose (I have a foot ankle tattoo so when I wear a dress or a skirt I always have to either wear heavily patterned or opaque hose so you can't see through them because of dress code), my black denim heels and a black top with rosettes on the collar with a black cardigan. I've gotten several compliments already and it's only 1015. Ugh is it only 1015 really?

Okay, so far today:

20 oz water
12 oz decaf with splenda and powdered creamer
B - 0% Greek yogurt, sliced strawberries, splenda
L - provided, but I don't know what it is so I brought my usual: raw spinach, raw snap peas, chickpeas, chicken (canned today, I need to cook!), pepperoncini and cottage cheese. I added a mini babybel light for a snack if needed.
s - apple

I picked these up in a newstand at the airport yesterday. They were pricey - $5 each, but large. Too many calories to eat the whole thing at one sitting. Sugar alcohols (but didn't give me the balloon belly I normally get). But so, so delicious. No weird protein-bar taste at all. The chocolate-peanut one tastes like a Snickers. Dangerously so. Just sharing.

I just looked them up. They make a smaller bar too. Sugar alcohols are through the roof and would bother me, and they just barely fail my 10:1 calorie to protein ratio test (170 cals:15g and 340 cals:30g). Fat's a little bit higher than I'd like on some of them too. But sugars are low. I don't think they look like a bad choice if you aren't sensitive to sugar alcohols, and they look tasty! I might try one and see. The small one. I'd be too tempted to try to eat the whole big one if it were yummy. The neopolitan one looks good - is it?

I can't even explain how delicious they both are. I can't ever buy another - it's too hard to only eat a bite here and there. Dee.Lish.Us.

Okay, screwy couple of days coming up. We have a new implementation going in at work and I have to be available for elbow to elbow support.

Today I am working 1130-8p. Then I'm off tomorrow during the day and working from 10p-3a (ish, depending on when everything is up, backloaded and running smoothly). At which point I go home, take a "nap" and get up again to run a 5K at 830. At least it's local so I don't have to go far! And THEN, if I'm done in time I'll hit my 10am power+core yoga class. I should be done in PLENTY of time. Even if I walk the 3 miles it won't take any longer than 45 minutes start to finish.

Today - slept late and drank a mint cookie protein while getting ready so I guess that was breakfast/lunch?

Now I'm having a Sonic diet green tea.

I'm running in empty! Got up at 10am yesterday. Ran errands. Did stuff. Chilled out. Went to work at 10pm. Was supposed to be outta there around 2, 3am at the latest. I left at a quarter to six! Too late to get any sleep so i putzed around until 730 and left for my 5K. And I ran. And walked and ran. I finished in 36 minutes. So now I'm at almost 27 hours without sleep straight. I need a nap, but but if I nap now ill lose the whole day and be up all night!

My dd is home from college. She's a vegetarian now (although she does eat dairy and fish). I need to prepare more fish ~ it would be healthy for the whole family. I'm a good cook, but I am afraid of fish, especially of buying a nice expensive piece of salmon and then ruining it. Soooo, give me all your tried and true tips for cooking fish and any recipes that work well for you. I can broil in my electric oven, grill on my gas grill or use a my George Forman grill. I have a Costco membership. Ready, set, go
