Depending on what you ate with it you could have had too much fat in one sitting (personally 12g in on sitting would be too much for me). Remember, regardless of how far out we are - RNY always malabsorbs fats.
That's true, I hadn't thought of that. I don't do well with fat! Other people dumped sugar, I dumped fat... I ate a few ounces of boneless, skinless chicken breast with it.

For dinner I had some green beans, the other half avocado and 5 small brazil nuts and my stomach was so upset, I was trying not to get sick for 30 mins afterward.

My stomach is still a bit nauseated today so I'm going to take it really easy on the food today. A bariatric protein shake, sf jello, very little fat to see how it goes.

just drinking that detox water for now. I LOVE that stuff.

Again, high fat - hence the nausea. Let's say 13 grams of fat in the avocado and 3 grams of fat PER brazil nut (15 total). You're pushing 30 grams in that little bit of food right there. Seeing as how it made you nauseous and the HR thing from before I would lay off the fat and it should improve.

Summer before last I was overloaded with cucumbers and we couldn't eat them fast enough! I made cucumber lemonade, it was pretty good! In a blender - cucumber, lemon juice, sweetener of choice, water to taste, then strain all the cucumber pulp out (or don't). Different, but refreshing. I could eat cucumbers all day long lol!

That sounds wonderful, I LOVE cucumbers!! Especially paired with lemon or lime, yummy! =)

Thank you for bringing the fat\dumping to my attention. I have forgotten so much of the things I was taught before WLS and I powered through any dumping episodes with a generous prescription of anti-nausea pills, so I never really learned to recognize the dumping. I've stopped taking the pills, letting my body tell me what's wrong, which is what I should have done from the start.

I just tried to up the fat because I wasn't losing. I did lose a lb.

Perhaps spread it out a little further so it's not all in big lumps? But it seems you are sensitive to fats.

I'm expecting my sf white chocolate stuff today!!! I'm so excited.

I went shopping today and I was able to look in L and XL instead of 2X or 3X. It was so nice to have a big selection. The consignment store had all the winter stuff for 75% off so I bought lots more than I normally would have, planning for next fall/winter. I got 9 pieces, sweaters, dressy tops, and a purse all for $19.79!!! The purse is a leather/canvas Stone Mountain purse---brand new too.

Then I stopped at one more consignment store and found the motherload of Nike shirts for my boys. I got 9 of those dri wick tees, a brand new pair of jeans for dh and a nice U of A jacket all for $82. Those shirts are normally $30 each.

LOL don't worry Chewie... I only meant in relation to what I was eating!

Yesterday started out swell.... sugar free iced coffee and sausage with cheese. Then a printer salesman from one of the companies I'm considering for a new printer for my department brought my team a pizza sized pastry from a well known high quality bakery. It was just too amazing to resist lol unlike the boring cheep easter chocolate I have been ignoring all week. So, I had some of that, then for dinner I had burger king.... I got fries and a chicken sandwhich. I don't know when I will ever learn that just because I have a treat doesn't mean the whole day is a free for all.

Today will be better!

B - still sipping my coffee protein shake with white chocolate powder yum yum and "legal"
S - not sure yet but maybe a slice of ham, something to hold me over until a late lunch with my parents
L - my parents are coming and we might go to this place called the kickin' crab, a Cajun restaurant which always smells great. I'll pick something low carb.
D - probably left overs from whatever I get at kickin' crab... you know, restaurant portions!!!

Right now I'm eating bacon.
L - no clue yet
D - I have cubed pork and stir fry cut beef defrosting. Not sure which way I'll go

Drinking LOTS of water that's all I know fore sure!

I looked at the Kickin' Crab menu and I will either get the cajun garlic trout with broccoli, or ask if my parents want to share a combo deal that comes with 2lbs of seasoned in-shell shrimp and 1lb of clams... they can have the corn and potatoes.

Today's not a free for all? I've had way too many sf chocolates. I'm sitting her blown up like a balloon - a balloon that's 9 months pregnant. I'm so bloated ugh.

My calories are over my daily allotment but still under my burn. I still have Insanity Day 6 to do also. Omg if I can move. Chewable gas-x isn't helping. I don't learn.

My morning:

Yesterday plans changed from what I thought... still an OK day.

B - Coffee with protein
S - none before lunch
L - BCD Tofu House - I had beef spare ribs at a Korean place. It came with an entire (head to tail) fried little yellow fish which was a nice surprise. I had some of that, then I had a couple of the rib pieces and onion. Before eating I had some organic passion iced tea which was good, didn't need any splenda. I also had a bite of each veggie appetizer that came included in the meal.
D - the best hummus I have ever had! super garlic-y... I had cheese and turkey dipped in it, and a couple of whole grain crackers (not ideal, but not horrid)
S - strawberries

Today.... Birthday!

B - sf vanilla iced coffee, then two sausage patties with cheese, and a bit later, two strawberries
L - not sure yet, probably something light since my sister in law invited me for dinner.
S - probably some veggies and dip, that is what my sis in law usually makes as pre-dinner munchies when she invites me over
D - whatever SIL makes

I am pretty sure she is going to make some kind of delish home made cake or cupcake which she will insist I eat for my bday lol... I honestly would be just as happy (and guilt free!) with a few more of the 49 cents per container strawberries I bought at HMart!!! But, I do need to learn that treat can stay A treat and not turn into a downward spiral... AKA free for all!!!

So I think I WILL eat whatever yummy thing she makes and then go home and plan a healthy breakfast and lunch for Monday!

Thanks HT!!! Why is learning balance and to think like a "normal" person so hard??? I mean, I DO feel we (obese or formerly obese) have metabolic disadvantages and blood sugar issues which makes it harder to not eat more sweets or starch when they are eaten, but come on, all it takes is will power and the urge for "more more more!!!" passes... ESPECIALLY when I have a hot cup of decaf coffee with cream and sugar free goodness while I hold out for the demands to pass lol

Good question! We went from overeating to undereating overnight and it isnt until about 2 1/2-3 years out that we are faced with eating "normally". I've been thinking about that too lately. We should talk about this more. Mary are you on my FB?

Both. Hubby did it with me. We ran at first then walked when he got winded. Well he kept walking and i *really* had the running bug so I lost him at mile 2 and ran the rest of the way.

If you have a color run nearby do it!!! So fun!

Next on my wishlist is a mud obstacle run. The Biggest Loser has a friendly one

Well, I made meatloaf for dinner. With puréed spinach, black beans and tomatoes mixed in it. The dog ate it off the counter when I went to the bathroom. Ugh.

No, A couple of people from LCF are on my FB, but at 80 friends total I keep pretty private and low key, and then there is my dance FB page which has a larger number of friends but I don't post there much either. lol

Anyway, I would not mind adding you or you adding me we've "known" each other for a long while now!

BTW, I love that sf white choc stuff. YUMMMMMM What kind of decaf coffee do you like? I was getting Dunkin Donuts brand and it's good but pricey. I find decaf somewhat lacking in flavor for the most part, maybe it's in my head.

When I drink coffee I only drink decaf and I agree, it's not a robust. I read a little about the decaffeinating process and it makes sense that it loses flavor. I use a Green Mountain brand in my Keurig. I always liked kona coffee before I switched to decaf.

My backup was, well... nothing. I had a protein drink, then some sf candy, then a protein bar later and some more sf candy.

So... needless to say I have removed ALL the sugar free candy from my house as of this morning. I ate the last package of Peeps because they're peeps and I couldn't help it, but all the sf marshmallow eggs took a ride to work with me and are now sitting on the table in the breakroom. Hopefully someone will eat them before I have to go in there and stare at them at lunch. There were only 4 left so should be okay.

If not I'll just smash smash smash them flat and throw them in the trash.

My morning weight today was 150. My workouts are there... 7 hours last week. My calories have 99% of the time been under my daily burn. So I'm not sure what is going on and I can only attribute it to the *types* of food I've been eating and not so much how much food I've been eating. I've been reading about initial weight gain when starting a new high intensity workout (like Insanity) for the first couple of weeks - and that makes sense because of all the soreness and muscle repair going on... you hold quite a bit of water in damaged muscle. I'm also seriously bloated and constipated (TMI!)... I'm pretty sure it's from the sf candy too! I've been eating that like, well, candy! I took something last night and hopefully that will help.

So my challenge to myself this week is cleaner eating. I have my yoga retreat this weekend and I don't want to be a bloated miserable constipated mess lol.

Today's eats:

B - 0% Fage, splenda, frozen cherries. Then a little less than a 1/4 cup of mixed nuts - I got tired of eating them before I finished them.
L - cottage cheese, cucumber, tomato, avocado, hb egg.
s - apple with pb or mint cookie
D - not sure, but it's Meatless Monday and I'd like to try that. I don't know if my family will go for it but maybe. Maybe I'll do a fritatta with leftover veggies from the fridge.
s - not sure. Mint cookie if I didn't have one earlier.

Today's dos:

Insanity workout
And maybe yoga - there's a new instructor on Mondays I want to try out. That is, if I'm not still waiting for the... you know... to kick in and fix the constipation.
