Need Food/Meal ideas
Hello, I am in my 4th month and I am wondering what/how much I should be eating. I would actually prefer not to eat at all but i find if I dont eat enough, I dont lose anything. Any tips/advise?

First, I'd ask if you are consulting with a nutritionist and/or were you given any guidelines? Next, may I ask what kind of WLS you had? I honestly am too far out to be exact, but I will tell you I was having mostly protein shakes, greek yogurt, eggs, and small amounts of other proteins. I ate (and still eat) many mini meals each day. I was also exercising 6 or 7 days a week. When I wasn't eating I was drinking - water! I was also making sure to take the vitamins and calcium I was told to take. I lost like gangbusters eating this way. Hope this info helps and congrats on your losses so far!

I agree... what kind of surgery did you have and what guidelines did your surgeon give you?
What have you tried so far? I can give you some ideas, but I don't want you to go against your surgeon's requirements first and foremost. |

I was an unintentional vegetarian at 4 mos out... I was definitely in the solids phase (the 4th and last phase on my surgeon's plan), but meat just did not sit well, and I hated having to chew and chew (I have TMJ and my jaw would get sore!). I preferred foods of a "solid" yet soft texture. Eggface's lasagna bake dish was a favorite (ricotta cheese, mozzarella, some Italian seasonings and low sugar pasta sauce micro-waved in a little dish). I also had alot of protein shakes. Premier (Costco and Sams carry it), Lean Body and Oh Yeah brands pre-made shakes were and still are my favorite choices. I like to put coffee in my shakes to make it taste like a Starbucks drink.
