Sleeve surgery on 2/1/13
Long time lurker here! I had lap band surgery in January of 2011, and had surgery to remove due to a slip in August. I've gained back 35lbs-it's amazing how fast it comes back!
Anyways, I'm having sleeve surgery in February. With so many sleevers here, I'm sure ya'll will tell me everything I need to know |

Welcome! Head on over to the monthly threat!
The WLS folks here were a HUGE help to me when I had my surgery, and they continue to be supportive. |

Yep, sure have. I was certain it was a mistake, but then I weighed on a different scale, and the results were the same.
I'll take it! |

No - I do a protein shake for breakfast, and then I eat protein at 2/3 hour intervals in 2/3 oz portions, per my doc.

Wow, congrats! I hope I'm as successful. My Dr will have me on liquids for 3 weeks after surgery. Then I believe mushies for 2, then a progression each week from there.

I was on liquids for almost 3 weeks, then moved to pureed. Now at a month, I can eat protein as long as I chew well and don't eat fast. I did eat fast twice, it is not comfortable at all. Believe me.

Six months out yesterday and I am down 106# I have had no issues other than acid. I came home on purée and was on full foods at two weeks.
I have a sleeve of steel. I can eat anything and I eat way too fast. |

I love my sleeve. My life has changed for the better in thousands of ways. For me, the first month was tough, but doable. I feel fantastic now, and my only side effect is also dealing with excess stomach acid. Good luck on your journey to a new you.

I had the sleeve surgery three years ago and have lost 124 lbs. It will be the best thing you have ever done. I don't regret anything about my decision to have this done. Good luck.
