Atkins frozen meals

For we surgically altered freaks, new product! In super walmarts and then nationwide in January, these meals are high protein and 7 grams of carbs or less. Smaller portions also, perfect for pouches! I just picked some up, will post after trying them

ANGELFIRE80 12-07-2012 11:31 AM

Can't wait to hear if they are good! I am going to be looking for them too.

Mysstwalker 12-07-2012 06:13 PM

Tried the turkey and green beans one tonight...delicious! Lots of meat, very tender and moist, fresh tasting green beans and lots of yummy gravy. Portion size is great, I ate all the turkey and about half the green beans before I got full. Trying the sausage breakfast bowl in the morning but definitely buying these and stocking up!

Jesse 12-08-2012 10:26 AM

I'm going to look for these today when I'm at Walmart.

Savannah 12-09-2012 04:05 PM

Thanks you for posting about these I am also going to look for these they sound great!! nice for a I don't feel like fixing anything night!!

Mysstwalker 12-09-2012 07:57 PM

Sausage scramble bowl was excellent, couldn't finish it all, it's actually enough could be two meals. Had the crust less chicken pot pie for dinner and wow, it was awesome! Chicken was tender, I even liked the cauliflower! Lots of sauce so good and moist, two paws up!

Chrissykin 12-10-2012 05:14 PM

I checked today and my Walmart doesn't have them yet. I was surprised because they usually get new stuff quickly.

myyellowstang 12-10-2012 06:29 PM

What are the stats?

Chrissykin 12-10-2012 06:50 PM

Between 310-370 calories and seven grams of net carbs or less, depending on the meal.

myyellowstang 12-11-2012 06:58 AM

I've tried to find the rest of the stats online, but can't. I'd have to see the fat and sodium content too to see if they'd work for me. The calories are pretty high, but if they are more than one meal and everything else is decent they might work in a pinch. I try to stay away from processed prepared foods as an overall rule of thumb, but sometimes you need a last minute meal on the go. :)

I have seen some of the stats online. I would buy them for work days. I am getting so sick of grilled chicken breasts at work plus since the are a side they don't give me a discount:laugh:. I love the chicken Ceasar salads at work but I am getting sick of those as well and Olive Garden doesn't have a lot of choices for us kind of people.:hyst: they are slamming me with hours and I work a lot of doubles and I am not so great at thinking ahead and packing a lunch. These I could grab and throw in the fridge at work.

Chrissykin 12-16-2012 04:53 PM

My Walmart had a bunch of different ones tonight. I bought one of each and am having the crust less chicken pot pie tonight. I really like it but I think I will be able to get two meals out of one.

AllisonB 12-25-2012 07:04 PM

They are offering a $2 coupon on the Atkins Facebook page for these.

Savannah 01-02-2013 06:15 PM

Hmmmm!! I see these at my vacation house Wal Mart no micro here we are redoing our kitchen maybe for an occasional meal after water aerobics ?????
when I get home if they have them there soon!!

Maryposa 01-02-2013 06:18 PM

I used thread tools to subscribe but for some reason I don't get notified so I am writing a reply. I am interested in these and would like to see some reviews!

I love them! The only one I don't care for was the sausage one(dinner). I eat the breakfast ones 3-4 times a week. All of them have been great, very filling, easy and delicious. I buy 10 at a time.

if you don't mind telling a bit more, which have you tried and what didn't you like about the sausage dinner?

I saw a couple people tried the crustless chicken pot pie and liked it

myyellowstang 01-03-2013 08:17 AM

Does anyone have the sodium counts?

Gymnopedie 01-03-2013 10:55 AM

I picked up a couple yesterday, but haven't tried them yet.

I didn't care for the taste of the sausage one and I love sausage. I had the beef merlot today it was good. Very tender just shreds of beef with gravy and broccoli. The broccoli was smaller pieces than the package shows but still good.

The breakfast ones, taste like fresh cooked eggs to me. They are not rubbery or taste "frozen." I can only eat half and I am full. I am not a breakfast person and never take the time to make breakfast. I usually grab a Starbucks so these work very well for me because I always seem to be running out the door to work.

The chicken Alfredo is very good it tastes like regular Alfredo to me.it is one of my favorites. The turkey is excellent with the green beans. It tastes like Thanksgivng low carb style. The crustless chicken pot pie doesn't taste like pot pie but makes a very good chicken meal.

My Walmart doesn't have the chili and I haven't been able to get the meatloaf until today. They seem to have trouble keeping them in stock. I don't know of they are selling well or if it is another issue. I hope they do well because they work out well for me.

Sodium doesn't bother me so I don't pay attention to it but here is all the nutrition info. You have to click on each product.

thanks for taking the time to respond, Chrissykin

I'm going to look for them for an occasional thing to eat for lunch when I haven't prepared... I'm worried about the sodium, however; sodium puffs me up for days if I have too much!

Olive Garden and Atkins Frozen Meals

for the Atkins meals they have a locator for stores that have gotten shipments on their site. Walmarts (super ones) seems to be the ones that get them. They also said Krogers, etc. will be getting them soon as well.

For the Olive Garden .. when I go there I ask for sauce over veggies. Usually Alfredo (red sauce can be pretty carby depending.) ..
You can also get sausages. and/or ask for double veggies instead of pasta (and then take some home). It's hard to skip the bread though lol.

Chrissykin 01-11-2013 07:40 AM

I saw these in Meijer the other day. They were $1.10 more than Walmart. They are starting to roll them out nationwide so they should be easier to find.

I still love them!

LauriTheRN 01-12-2013 08:08 AM

I tried all of them and didn't like the Meatloaf at all. The others were pretty good. Full of flavor, the right portion size and kept me full for hours. I plan to use them for work day lunches often.

AD400Dash 01-16-2013 09:20 AM

What brand are the meals?

I still want to try these, but so far, the nearest store selling them is 20 mins away :(

The sodium is way up there. But wow so is the fat! I wouldn't be able to eat any of them because of this. They sound pretty tasty, but one meal has my fat intake for the whole day! Calories are good though, and carbs are way low. But why are they so high in fat? :(

They are pretty high in fat but they are good! They haven't stopped me from losing though, but I burn between 3-4,000 calories almost everyday according to my Bodybugg. I only eat half at a time so I can stretch the cost, calories and all the other stuff out.
