Walmart sells both a liquid b-complex and a sublingual b12. You should probably take one of each a day. I take 5000 mcg a day and my b12 stays around 1000.
I take a sub-lingual tablet, only 2000mcg. Maybe I should have it checked again. Now that I'm post-op. I get mine at Walmart.

Thanks for the welcome Monkee! Things are going good for me post -op!
I was a little bummed with lack of scale movement & then just like everyone
said dropped 6 lbs. I'm a slave to the scale !!(Need to work on that)

Last night I was able to do 15 min on my exercise bike & 15 min walk
outside even!!! Hubby couldn't believe it. I'm usually passed out in my recliner!LOL

My typical breakfast is a shake. I need to get some of those premier shakes
because these 15 gr protein ones aren't lasting me as long as they used to!
I'm in a rush to get up & out to work in the AM's No appetite!

OK off to the bike more later

I was up and walking by 6AM this morning and walked 45 minutes. I have to say getting my exercise done before work makes me feel better all day long.

However, I think I'm eating too much. Here's what I had today:

B - protein shake
S: 1 wasa cracker w/ red. sugar PB & a smallish banana
L: pork and cheese enchilada
S: atkins bar
D: about 4oz. cheeseburger w/ tomato and onion slices (no bun)
S: sf jello pudding with a shot of whipped cream...
and water...

I didn't have my normal greek yogurt today - I had the atkins bar instead...

Thanks for the insight about my appearance and my thoughts on it. I mean in my head I sometimes remember how much better I look now vs. then, but I guess I am just so used to finding fault with myself...

Monkee those crab cakes sound goooood. I am so glad you're posting again. You, Mary, Angel - where is everyone else!!! What a good time for lurkers to become lurkees! It is true, when people don't post I become less motivated and I feel like my safety net is gone.

I'm glad to see everyone who posts. Have a great evening!

Hi ladies.

Just checking in, etc. I am completing the last steps (trying to anyway) of the surgery pathway and doing JUDDD+Atkins as a last ditch effort to lose the weight without surgery. The plan is, that if I am not able to lose anything significant by the time the steps are complete, then I will go ahead with the surgery(VSG).

Some of you may remember I was doing Atkins and then using FF to lose. Well, even the FF doesn't seem to work anymore, the last two times I've done it I lost small amounts(4 lbs., 3 lbs.) that came back on the next day after resuming Atkins.

I still struggle with deciding to do something so permanent and wonder, if I restrict now and don't lose, how will things be any different with restriction from surgery?

I was supposed to have my psych eval for surgery yesterday at 11:30. Waited over a month for the appointment only to have them call me and cancel at the last minute. It wasn't some kind of medical emergency as they offered me appts. at 12:15 and 2:15 and 4:45, none of which I could make. So, waiting for them to reschedule me. Hopefully it won't be another month as I still have quite a few steps left.

Anyway, I have of course been lurking as always but I have joined the exercise challenge. I do the elliptical 30 min. a day already and try to add in fun outdoor stuff as often as possible. For my challenge I decided that I would do 30 min of exercise with my DD everyday. Mostly been walking the dog after dinner or playing at the park.

Wow, this got super long so I'll stop now. Hope everyone is having a great Wednesday so far!

Good Morning!

I walked for 30 min yesterday. Today is a DD for me, so trying to stick with 500 cals. I think I hit 1900 yesterday for my UD. I am trying to get use to this and my next UD I will try to do a little lower. Tonight, I will probably walk again for at least 30 min.

I did 15 min on bike & 15 min walk last night. This evening after work I walked Sam's club for an hour at a fast pace perusing the isles. I feel like a food snob in there everything is in such large quantities! My pantry is well stocked for the family & most of the suff I saw was not on my plan

Got those Premier shakes though & can't wait to try on in the AM for B!!

I was hoping they had Quest bars in there, but they didn't, oh well!!

Happy & Healthy ---Congrats on breaking the stall!!

I just had a terrible experience with my dinner. Ground turkey meat with taco seasoning OMG It did not sit right & felt like it was stuck & wouldn't go up or down. Sorry for the "over share", but some did finally come up
I have officially had the foamies now

My work is also crazy since last Fri. (the 13th) Moon Phase ????

Hope ya'll have a good evening!

Hi All, Sounds like we're doing a good job at getting our exercise in. I didn't walk today because I had to take my computer in to the shop...looks like it is just about dead, and I am debating trying to revive it or just letting it RIP (I'm on the family computer right now...). Instead of walking, I have spent at least 30 minutes today doing housework - scrubbing bathrooms, doing laundry, and making beds, among other things. This is unusual activity for me, trust me! I will not be able to work out after work tomorrow, so I've decided to get up early to work out before work. Thanks to Monkee for kicking my butt the way it is needed!

Menu:
B: 1/2 - 2/3 C Honey bunches of oats cereal (I am not proud of this, but want to be honest...) with skim milk
S: Greek yogurt
L: hamburger patty with cheese and a few broccoli spears
S: protein shake
D: hamburger patty with mushrooms and cheese
S: milk with some sf nestle choc. mix...

I remember the days when I would go for hours - if not all day - and not feel hungry. Where are those days now! I am ravenous a lot of the time! I guess I need to phase the protein shakes out or really reduce what I eat otherwise.

If you don't hear from me for a day or two it isn't cause I gave up on the challenge - it is for sure a computer issue! Have a great night & a better tomorrow!

I'm still alive. That prednisone has me eating my way through the house. I am staying far, far away from the scale until this thing is over. I do not need to watch the scale creep up while dealing with roid rage.

Ugghh Lisa, how much longer??

Sorry I have not posted menus. That's one major thing I love about my sleeve journey, not worrying about it. I just eat what I want, which does include healthy stuff. I know I may have to start tracking if I want to lose another 20-30 lbs to my ultimate goal, but I really don't want to!

In other news, my scale said 190.4 this morning! What???? 46 lbs gone, 5 lbs to my first goal!

Good Morning! (barely)

I hope everyone is doing well. I'm having fun figuring out how to work with my sleeve. I'm down a couple lbs since Saturday, but I noticed the days I go down, are the days I actually hit 800 calories. So I am definitely going to make sure i hit 800 cals every day, and my protein goals. Yesterday I put protein supplements in my water, and got up to 80 grams, so that was good. I looked back over my tracking, and I've been at least 65 every day, except for one. So, while I'm figuring out the eating thing I'm going to continue to supplement to make sure i reach my goals.

Today I already got in my exercise, yay.

Breakfast- 1 egg, 30 grams of low fat cheese (160 cals, 14 grams protein)

I'll just keep trucking on

Lisa- I hope you are feeling better soon!
HT- good luck with your computer!
HH- I totally respect that, I'd love to not diet, I'm hoping my sleeve will allow that at some point in my life. Good job breaking the stall!
Savannah- great job on the exericse! That turkey doesn't sound fun...
HAB-man, how frustrating with the psych eval.

If I missed anyone, sorry! Keep up the good work everyone.

Well, wellness seems to be coming along, finally! I can't believe how ill I was. Haven't been this ill, except for things like kidney stones or stomach problems from bad eating, since I cannot even remember.
I decided to go out today and pulled out my fave white cut-offs made from a pair of Bend-Overs. Was thinking of something else as I dressed and just pulled the shorts up. Not realizing they were NOT elastic waist! However, buttoned and zipped they went on with ease!!!! Over my HIPS! Last summer the waist was too big by 4 inches, this summer I don't even have to undo them! Talk about a NSV!
My stall has unstalled, and I'm dropping the weight I gained from the glucose feed in the ER!
I am so glad to see everyone back on-line! ANd taking up the exercise challenge. By this week-end I should be able to get to my "Door knob exerciser"!
My hips and thighs have always been out of proportion to my waist and bust. I high school I had an 18" waist and a 36" hip! Thank God for A-line and broomstick skirts! LOL
Hope your day is going well and your week-end ROCKS!!!

first NSV- bought a dress today size XL and it fits. It's a loose baggy dress...but it fits, It's cheetah print, I am wearing it to church on sunday. I started my journey at 22, now I'm wearing a belt so my capris don't fall off, and will soon be into a different not loose size 18 dress in a very short time. whoohoo!

I don't post a lot but I like reading every one's posts. You are all doing so great!!

Awlass, sorry your surgery got postponed. That must be so frustrating, but it really is for the best.

I got a surgery date of June 25. It's quite a bit further off than I was expecting but I am still excited. I have to do Optifast (liquid) diet for 3 weeks beforehand so I am worried about that, but I just have to find a way to get through it.

Today is day 5 of a 12 day course. I went to work yesterday, so that helped me not eat all day...but I made up for it last night. Work was rough. It's amazing how much better you think you feel when you are sitting in bed watching Judge Judy all day compared to how you really feel when you go back to work.

I am so happy for you HH! I can't wait to get there as well. First things first - waiting on "ONEDERLAND"!

Woke this morning - bloated! Last night I was worried I would lose my ring b/c it is so loose. This morning it is tight again. First thing I did was check the weather report! Yup, rain is eminent! It never fails - warm/hot temps + 40% or more humidity = swollen body due to water retention. No sense weighing myself until I get rid of the fluid!
Hope everyone has a great and NSV weekend!

Hi everyone!

I think it might be a motivator for everyone to do a quick post on where they started at how far they've come. This should help us focus on the positive instead of the negative - how much we've stalled or regained or have left to go!

Yes?
