Adjustable spatz balloon and low carb
2 days ago I had a spatz adjustable balloon inserted. I have to follow a low carb diet and my goal is to lose around 35kg (around 88 pounds) over the 12 months. Ive been on low carb liquid since monday 4 days. Balloon went in on wed and I have already dropped 3 kg (6.6 pounds). im in full blown ketosis dark purple. Im so excited. I lost about 70 pounds a few years back on low carb and have struggled after having the baby to get some form of control. My weight has kept ballooning until my highest ever since being pregnant at 101kg (223 pds). low carb really works for me and the balloon will retrain my portion sizes. I cant wait to reach my goal of 65kg (143 pds). I would love to hear from others who may have had the balloon or surgery or just anyone who wants to buddy on my journey. Would love to peak to others to share our excitement and woes!

Wow Teebee - congrats on your new weight loss journey! Low carb is the only thing that ever really worked for me long-term, and now it is my way of eating and way of life for life! I am sure these first days will be what we often like to call your "Golden Period" - when weight loss is fastest, so enjoy them and work it! I have to admit I don't know much about what you had done, but I'm all for anything that helps people regain control of their weight and their health. Have a great day!

Day 7 ...
So i have been really lucky with the gastric balloon almost being normal by day 3 and now at day 7 still in good ketosis and I have lost 4 kgs (10.7 pounds). feeling pretty happy with that even though its mostly fluid however my pants are definately not as tight and my belly dosnt seem to stick out quite as much. Dont feel overly full but I have to learn that I dont have to be stuffed to be satisfied. Starting on some eggs and soft foods tommorrow. Hooray
