I can accept this. My reconstructive needs are unattractive but don't affect movement or workouts or anything. No inection or skin issues. I can wrap my head around this, and it's only 3 more years, right?

Indebtedness for these surgeries is totally worth it, I am with HT, I would totally be broke and not have that nasty skin, I really want new boobs but now have to wait until after the mortgage goes through, I cannot spend a dime on anything, but then look out, I told Tony I need fixed!! From my surgery my pubic area is like a ball sack it is really gross that needs fixed!!!! And I have dogears at the bottoms of my arm incisions, all that should be free, the boobs I have to pay for, so I keep waiting!

I am struggling too
the other day I put on a non-stretchy skirt which used to twist around on me (a bit too big) and it fit perfectly... and this is after I had all my excess skin removed!!! How is it possible, even with swelling, that I am BIGGER? I was so disappointed ![]() Then, I noticed how nice the skirt looked, without the excess skin flap... and that made me feel slightly better. But not all the way.... siggghhhhh |

I am back in my workout mode I have this mud run May 4th, the tough mudder for breast cancer so I have to be able to complete that!!!!

I have the bra flab thing going on in the back, but it's mostly loose skin at this point. Happy I'm finally maintaining around the lower 14o's for about 6 months now. I'm going to take new after pics in March. Even with the scars I still love my tum! It'll be 5 years old in August. ![]()

I guess I've had so many surgeries that there's hardly anywhere for the fat to hide so it is busting out in weird places! My stomach is amazingly tight though, I must say. My back and hips (pretty much the only two places I am not all cut up) are starting to...change though! So, to all of you considering these surgeries, consider this: keeping your weight under control is pretty key to looking the way you want to look. I have only been losing and gaining 5 - 7 pounds (and yes, I am sure some of that is water...), yet I swear it is already looking different. Not terrible, but different. Oh, I give up! I just want to be happy with how I look, and, truth be told, that has to come from within. I better work on that.

I have an appointment today with my surgeon. That opening that I had seems to have healed... the only problem is it healed up short before it reached the surface... meaning, I have a hole
My surgeon already told me he'd do a revision in his office when it healed... I had other openings before... NONE of them healed like this. But, I am still pretty happy. I went out to dinner last Thursday night and I thought I was dressed attractively but not too sexy... I had a knee length pencil skirt (I admit it was tight) and a cropped jacket and a top under (no cleavage)... as I was walking from my car to the restaurant, I got a wolf whistle heheBefore my lower body lift, I would have worn a jacket that went down past my hips to hide my saggy tummy in that tight skirt... I would only wear that cropped jacket with a ton of spanx and a skirt that flowed away from the lower hip area where my excess skin hung.

Maryposa, thanks for asking. I am doing very well from my cosmetic surgery procedures. The bunion and hammertoe surgery on both feet last June was the worst. I still have swelling and am not moving as much and have put on about 10 pounds. I'm not a huge exerciser, but just walking more makes a difference. I am trying not to panic. The ortho doctor told me it would be a year before my feet feel normal, so that will be June! I am very pleased with her work on my feet though. She did a really good job on them.
I came across my before pictures on my computer yesterday. These were after the weight loss, but before the skin removal and nips and tucks. I am amazed when I look at them... and VERY thankful! |

Today I received the before and after pictures from my plastic surgeon from all of my operations. I plan to scan them...or take pics of them so I can send them to those of you interested in seeing them. I won't lie, my thighs, while obviously better, are still not very attractive. I just have big legs, period. However, the other three operations are good and my tummy tuck is just amazing. She did an excellent job. It is also something for me to realize that there isn't that next surgery to gear up for. I'm done! And because, in my life, I have been (unfortunately) all about starting things I don't finish (especially when it comes to weight loss...) this is still very surreal to me. Pics to come, soon - promise!
Mary! Congrats on the whistle! I am still getting used to the attention I get from men. I still have trouble looking men in the eye...thirty years of being the fattest person in every room will do that to you. I hope your adjustment is quick and as painless as possible. I may be having a bit of lipo done right above my bellybutton in June...we'll see. She is also considering "tacking up" the one side of the top of my vah-jayjay area. Again, I'll see what I think about that in June! Last edited by Hot Tamale; 03-20-2013 at 05:56 PM.. |

What do they do about the vah-jayjay area? Can that be fixed too? I've been too afraid to ask. LOL. Mine will need some work.

After massive weight loss and only having a tummy tuck or even 360 degree lift without monsplasty looks weird... I won't lie.... I think it looks aweful. If you google Dr. Timothy Katzen, and look at his before/after pics, he does not cover / blur out the public region, and you can see how that looks (he doesn't include monsplasty in the 360 degree lift). |

A week ago I met the surgical team and next Friday I give them my decision which we all know what it will be. When? Hopefully the first one is in April. I will get my neck and face done. The neck bothers me the most along with the jowls that have devloped.
Then perhaps in the fall or next spring, I will get the arms and breasts done. Then last if at all the thighs and mons. I have asked for lipo on my back and left front, because the first surgery I had 7 years ago was a little lopsided. It is scary. I admit I am nervous. HotTamale when you get the picture of before and after I would be interested in seeing them. When I had the panniculectomy in 2006, they took off six pounds. They won't be removing much on my neck, it is mostly just skin that needs to be tightened up. Last edited by MaryMary; 03-24-2013 at 05:43 PM.. |

Broken record here, but...
Maryposa, you should look into modeling!!! I know you've heard this before, but so worth repeating!!! Your face is stunning, even when at your heaviest... Oh and ![]() to your "junk-in-the-trunk" asset!! One more thing too, as a Nurse, I totally agree that the vajay-jay looks odd, once everything else has been brought into proportion!! ![]() Hotamale,...I can't wait to see your pics!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mary Mary... everything will turn out fine!!! Just hang on to the great success that those who post here on this thread have had!!

Girls-your stories are amazing-and thanks for sharing-it is so appreciated to hear what strengths you all have and the wonderful transformations you have endured--I have been thinking about doing a tt but have no clue how to find a good surgeon who is well versed so to speak in doing this kind of surgery after a big weight loss--I live in small town America so I would have to travel but would like to not have to travel too far for obvious reasons for repeat visits-my question is how to find a surgeon who is good? thanks for your advice.
