Welcome!

I understand about the sugar/bread problem. I'm getting all that out of my diet too.

WOE: I have the Lap Band/Atkin's
Start Date: 11/10/2009
Hello Fellow Lap Banders! I got banded May 18th, 2009 and have lost about 40 pounds, but still struggle with making good choices for myself. I found myself starting to eat lots of soft, carb loaded junky foods that I could eat a lot of. I also found myself avoiding meat so I wouldn't get full so fast (a total Lap Band no no! Protein first, protein first!). My weight loss has pretty much stalled in the last month and a half. I got my second fill last Friday and also plan to do the Atkin's plan now. I crave carb loaded foods so badly that I definitely feel addicted to some of them. I am so close to getting out of the 200s but keep seeming to sabotage my efforts to get there by eating crappy foods. Glad there are fellow banders on here to support my eating choices! Good luck everyone and I will look forward to seeing everyone's progess!

I've found that once we get all the gluten out of our systems the cravings diminish greatly.

Good probiotics balance the gut once the gluten is cleaned out.

It's wonderful to be free of the carb monster!
