Week 1 back on track
Ok, so I figured there has to be more than just myself that has fallen off the eating right wagon. Not that I'm gaining weight, I'm just not losing as I should be and I know it has to do with wrong food choices.
So, I'm getting rid of the soda's, cutting back on the coffee, ditching the pre cooked microwaved meals and getting back to the basics of eggs, cheese, beans and veggies. Maybe I should ditch the beans? I don't eat alot of meat so the beans are pretty necessary. What think others? anyway, my menu today was this (and not perfect) B: peaches n cream oatmeal, 1 20 ounce coffee L: 2 cubes of Laughing Cow Swiss cheeeeese, 1 forkful of tuna (tuna grosses me out), diet dew. D: 1 healthy choice meal (split in half. dinner tonight and lunch tomorrow) and gym tonight. 30 minute cardio, 30 minute weights. |

Since I only get to post while I'm at work, some days will be missing.
Today was weigh in at the docs and he was not happy with me. Not one bit. He said three months ago, I lost 11 pounds in the month. Last month I lost seven. this month.. only three. So now, I gotta write everything I eat down and meet with the nutritionist next month. My happy went right down the toilet. LOL to me, three is better than zero and I do exercise every day, twice a day. Plus, I've been sick for three weeks, not eating and when I do eat, it isn't much. ah well. todays grub: breakfast: 1 packet of raisin, date & nut oatmeal and a 20 oz coffee with cream. Lunch: 1/2 cup rice, beef and sour cream mix. 1 diet mountain dew. Dinner: Healthy Choice chicken breast with mixed veggies. Half today, half for lunch tomorrow. Water= 3 so far. |

Neeta - I hear you on weight loss, Jill has had her moments,
I was in a funk, I went to see Bariatric surgeon on 9/8, was down 35, in smaller clothes , lost 8 off my waist, 7 off my hips, was looking forward to appointment,he started fussing at me, saying , I have not lost enough, said "your speech is slurred", "have you been drinking ?" (I never have touched the stuff)....royally pizzed me off......went to talk to dietician, am writing down every frigging bite I eat...which is not much...diligently taking all the vitamins, calcium....had a repeat bone scan , had one five years ago, have lost some density......You know people that think this is "the easy way out"....are sorely misinformed, it is work..... Love y'all, Patty ![]() |

I think you are way low on protein and too high on carbs. If I ate oatmeal, it would set off my carb addiction and cravings. I am 13 months out from RNY and have lost from 261 to 150.
Almost every day I eat the following: Cup of decaf when I get to office with Sugar Free International Vanilla creamer. Big serving (at least a full cup) of FAGE 0% greek yogurt with a scoop of protein powder and splenda Lunch would be more yogurt or cottage cheese with protein powder or chicken breast or tuna Afternoon, more yogurt or cottage cheese or a scoop of protein mixed with water Dinner would be more protein like beans, chicken, tuna, or yogurt. If I don't do lots of protein each day, I get hungry and my weight loss stops or I gain. I have stayed completely away from ALL processed sugar, caffiene, and starches. PLEASE REMEMBER, we didn't go through this surgery to not lose weight. There are reasons we gained when eating carbs, etc. Good luck! |
