MrsClaus...Reclaiming My Life One Bite at a Time

Well, I guess if I am going to do this it will be to jump in with both feet.

Tomorrow begins Day 1 of this new WOE. A WOE that will be a permanent change for me.

Already my plan for tomorrow has been changed. Oldest daughter wants me to bring her money for her rent/bills. She is on disability and still needs help for things. Also forgot to get the sticker for DH's license plate on his truck which expires today and it looks like I'm making a trip to town.

Today has been a sad day. Today would have been my parents 69th anniversary had daddy not died in January. Mom said she was remembering all of the good anniversaries and not the sad ones.

Food today was totally not on plan, but I cleaned out the kitchen of things that don't belong.

Woke up to a 3.2 loss this morning.

I'm doing the original Atkins. In order for me to physically feel good and be without pain I have to avoid sugar and gluten. I'm also allergic to soy.

I can't believe how well I have felt today. It just reinforces that this is the right choice for me.

I've also felt calmer today which is amazing when dealing with our daughter who doesn't live with us who has asperger's and is bi-polar and still needs support, a son who has classic autism, a daughter that we homeschool and we care for my elderly mother. Throw in dh working nights and our house is definitely not a typical one.

B: nothing because I wasn't hungry
D: a few dill pickles while I cooked, grilled steak
S: tuna w/ mayo and mustard, extra sharp cheddar cheese
Snack: 8 slices of pepperoni and a few dill pickles

Lots of ice tea plus took my meds.

I really feel like dancing right now when usually I'd feel like sleeping.

MrsClaus - good for you! I think you'll be feeling better and better everyday, with more energy to deal with all those stresses. I'm sorry for you and your Mom - 68 years together is fabulous. {{Hugs}} for all of you.
