godsbeloved79's "She believed she could and she Did" Mission

“If you don’t do what’s best for your body, you’re the one who comes up on the short end.” This is one of the most thought provoking motivational weight loss quotes I've ever read. It’s true, you know. If you don’t take care of yourself, you do come up short. Your health suffers, your mind and body suffer, and ultimately you suffer and you really don’t have to.

So with that being said, I'm giving this another shot with all that is within me.

We are all in the same race girlfriend. I am in Chicago and the weather sucks. It should be well into the sixties and time to get outdoors to workout but that's not happening with 40 degree weather. I just see this as an extended opportunity to be prepared for the shredding of the layers. Let's just go on and make our "bodies" proud. Have a great re-start.

Hi monees! Maybe some good indoor workouts would be helpful. I shared a link below. TOM is in full effect and I just feel like blah, so I plan to start tomorrow and I also have my 5k run; which I'll be power walking with a few others. So I'll be starting my Saturday off on the right foot. Eating well and exercising!

Just Do It

No. 1: Exercise controls weight

Exercise can help prevent excess weight gain or help maintain weight loss. When you engage in physical activity, you burn calories. The more intense the activity, the more calories you burn. You don't need to set aside large chunks of time for exercise to reap weight-loss benefits. If you can't do an actual workout, get more active throughout the day in simple ways, by taking the stairs instead of the elevator or revving up your household chores.

Thanks Lyn for the indoor suggestions. I have a treadmill in the basement, workout videos, and weights. Just got the food stuff in check and now I have to fight for workout motivation. I know when I add that I will break this stall but it is surely a fight to get there. Hope you enjoyed your 5K. I did the March of Dimes 3.1 walk on Chicago's lakefront last Sunday and that's what got me itching to get outside. But for now indoors it is. Have a great week.

Hey Meek, hope all has been well with your re-start? I've been super busy with a few things and just haven't had it in me to start yet mentally.

Hi monees,

Glad I could share the indoor exercises.

I power walked the 5k with my co-worker and felt great afterwards.

Good Afternoon,

I'm so not a happy camper this morning, but I have no one to blame but myself!

I hopped on the scale and it read 237 lbs. I don't see it at all???

With that being put into perspective, I'm starting Induction tomorrow; and please don't get sick of me with this, but I really am starting tomorrow. No if's and's or but's about it.

Hi Lyn. No one will ever get sick of you. We all love and support you regardless. It's a true battle, I know, but this can be conquered. We're in the fight together, like before , so no worries. I have your back!

Today is D3 for me and I'm hanging in there.

We can do this

Post daily for accountability. I'll do the same.

Have a nice day.

Vent

So I woke up this morning, and reread a few pages of my old journals and I can honestly say, that I am the biggest procrastinator there is. I mean, I sound like a broken record to myself. So with all that being said, I decided to start "A New" tomorrow and I'll be honest; I will be eating LOTS of crap today, because after this; I'm DONE. This concept isn't healthy or good at all, but it actually helped the last time I decided to start a clean Induction. I guess I siked my mind, and by tomorrow I'll be sick of junk food (hopefully) and that will push me to eat clean and want to rid my body of all the crap I've put in it.

So here goes.

Food 4 Thought

You must know why you want to change before you can commit yourself to the necessary steps.

Your desire for change, which will ultimately determine your commitment to change, requires that you eliminate all self-defeating assumptions from your consciousness.

Hey Lyn - how's it going. Never give up on yourself or the goals you set. As long as you keep revisiting them then the possibilities of succeeding still exists. I haven't done perectly but I've finally come far enough to realize this is what works for me and there's no turning back and I promise you it has taken me almost 10 years. Never too late.

Hi monees,

Thanks so much for your continued support. I'm never giving up, I'm just prolonging because I'm in the process of moving and juggling so many things.

So I'm not going to say when I'll start Induction for now, because it's been so much easier to just grab fast food; which that's just another excuse, cause I can grab a salad or something.

Thanks Jamie, starting has been such a struggle. Now that I'm back in the game, I'm trying my hardest with prayer, to stay focus and not give in. I'm wishing you well also!

Hi monees, and thanks for the encouragement and tip on adding more fat. Today is day 2 on Induction, and I feel a little weak from sugar and caffeine withdrawal; but I'm going to keep plugging along.

Day 2: Induction

Good Afternoon,

Our Internet is down in the office and I'm logged in from my cellphone. Not bad at all, I can stay connected on the go now.

Feeling a little weak from the sugar withdrawal and not having caffeine, I guess. I know once this part is over, it will be smooth sailing from here.

Meals:

b/ 2 scrambled eggs with cheese and bacon
l/ green beans and chicken breast
d/ same as lunch - leftovers

Exercise:

30 minute walk

Working from home today, and I'm taking advantage of it. I cooked up a pack of bacon and I'm about to cook some crab meat with shrimp as a snack or quick meal. I want to be so prepared, that there is NO room for failure.

Meals:

b/ scrambled eggs with cheese and bacon
l/ crab meat with shrimp in butter and a salad
d/ steak strips with broccoli and cheese

Exercise:

30 minute power walk - plan to join the Gym soon!

Sounds great Lynn. Keep it up. Sorry I can't feel your pain for the coffee - just couldn't give it up as it is my guilty pleasure. Just using heavy cream and a couple packs of splenda for sweetner.
