Scales stayed the same which is brilliant, hopefully another whoosh will come soon, calories are still kept nice and low, I have been weighing everything but keep forgetting to weigh my meat, so will start doing that today....
Well no ramble for me today as the sun is shining so I am going out to play lol.

Good for you Sandy! Staying the same is better than a gain! Hey that rhymes!
You will see a drop soon. I'm saying a "scale drop prayer" for you! I saw another drop today and I'm elated - I just hope it sticks. 159.8-can't believe it!
It could go away as fast as it came.

Hope you have a great day outside! Is it warming up for you? We got to around 60 degrees yesterday, but all I did was run from one store to another. Sun is rising here and looks to be a beautiful day! Birds are chirping!

Those pesky scales will not let near the 150's.....I am still counting my calories and keeping them lowish, but I will keep at it...something has to give and its not going to be me.....this summer I am determined to get the last of the fat off me if it kills me....which I hope it doesn't lol.....

Thanks Susan, yes I am going to stay positive, there is no way I am giving up and letting this nasty fat take over lol....hopefully tomorrow might see a movement on those scales, I was going to change my eating but keep changing my mind, so I always think if you don't know what to do then do nothing lol, so for now I think I am sticking to what I am doing until I have things figured out more in my mind...today I did cut back on the carbs a bit though....I am also sending you some sunshine over.
Now wouldn't that be cool Jeanne, if only it were the scales and not us lol, glad you have some sunshine, it does wonders for my mood and seems to make me more energetic...well a little bit anyway lol.

Hi Sandy thanks for stopping by and introducing yourself today! Those scales will move, I just know it. Mine didn't from the first week in February until just this week...I was getting so down about it but didn't give in. Reading your journal helped me tremendously to thanks for that...knowing that there are others who also struggle yet continue trying is very motivating. We can all do this together!

Scales still stuck at 160.8....I am a bit fed up of seeing that silly number...but I am glad its not rising, there is always something to be glad about.....reminds me of that movie Polyanna, it used to be my favourite movie when I was growing up, and then became my mantra....there is always good to be found in something bad if you look hard enough....I think it has gotten me through a lot of stormy weather in my life.
Well yesterday I finally decided to go back to low carb....my eating small amounts of meat with my salads and fruits was just not working, but I saw it was good for maintaining.....funny how before eating like that let me lose 2 pounds a week and now it doesn't work....I guess our bodies are continually changing, or should I change that to continually aging lol.
Anyway I don't know how long I will be able to keep the low carb up as the induction flu last time was bad enough to put me to bed, and even when I got through it I felt horrible.....so I have decided to do it for a few days....as long as I can...then if I feel really unwell I will do salads and fruits for a few days and then get back to low carbing....I guess this isn't a good way of doing things...but for now its the best plan I can come up with....so just one day at a time.
We have fog here at the moment, the ships horns kept me awake for hours, and I think everyone was stuck on the island again this morning as no ferries or hovercraft were running....hopefully the sunshine will come out again soon.

Susan....Your toes are cold because you are getting skinny lol....

Judy... you will be out of that weather any day now, thank you for wishing me happiness lol...I love happiness, if the sun comes out and I get a nice walk I will throw a pebble in the ocean for you and will shout...this one is for Judy.

Becky...Whoop whoop...you are back....you have been missed...its time to slay that dragon now with the rest of us...glad you had a good week though, I bet it did you good.

Hi Sandy, I hope you're well and that the scales are moving in the right direction for you.

I'm wondering if all your flitting from one plan to another to yet a new one is actually negating all the progress you've already made. Have you thought about choosing one that resonates the best with you, reading the book, and then sticking to it for 10 weeks? You'd still reach your goal before the summer!

I hope you don't mind me saying this, and I wish you all the best whatever you decide (and however many times, LOL! )

Edit: You posted while I was writing the above, and I see you're afraid of the LC flu - do you really have to go that low? Have you heard about Paleo/Primal - it's lower carb, but not so low to get into ketosis, and a very healthy plan with lots of veg and some fruit too. Have a look at this: http://www.marksdailyapple.com/prima...#axzz2vvz4K6Bj

Hi Larissima...I know you are right, and I know I will lose the best with low carb....its just that ill feeling I get when doing low carb even after weeks....the one that fits best with me is fruit and salads but I only seem to maintain my weight on that one now.....I have searched and searched this past week to find something that seems healthy and do able....only to come back to low carb again as I know it works.... but I do know what you mean.....I even hate writing it in my journal that I am yet again changing the way I eat lol....it makes me feel a bit like a failure....but just after xmas I was 167, after low carb I got to 160, if I try low carb again for a while I might lose another few pounds, then maintain for a while on fruit and salads etc etc...I think its the best plan I can come up with...I have looked at tons of other plans, some of them I have done before and never lost anything which is why I always come back to the one that really works.....
I was actually searching for the creamy leek recipe yesterday and found it in my journal, thanks for posting it...we are having it tonight for dinner.
Anyway thanks for stopping by and I do appreciate your input, I just wish I could figure something else out but its all I can come up with for now.

Well what an amazing day I had today, the sky was blue and no wind so we had our beach walk along the sands to the next town, we stopped at a lovely old pub when we got there and I managed to stay on plan...so yahoo, this will be day 2 on low carb, I am noting it down as I think its on day 4 or 5 the induction nasty's kick in lol...I have to start logging down my food as well so I know what I have had but I have decided to log it in my own notepad.....that way there won't be any comments on what I am doing lol. so a good day was had by all and the dogs are now fast asleep, I am hoping they stay that way for a while....

When I working on one of my projects I know when I start to worry to much about. it..Oh will I never get to the next color in this pattern or I keep making the same mistake and have to take my thread out...but in the end I know it will be a beautiful project....You are doing fine...

Sandy - I use an on-line food, weight tracker. I've done this for the past two years. It's amazing to go back and see where I was, where I stopped logging, where I put the weight back on. It makes me shake my head and say "why did I stop tracking?". It's amazing to me how many calories we shove into our mouths without a blink of an eye! As we age, we don't need as many calories to function. I completely realize now that this is true for me. And I will continue to watch what I eat. I think the "Atkins" style of eating gives us a false sense that we can gorge ourselves with protein to the point that it's just too much. Too much protein turns to sugar. Sugar = carbs

All of us need to find our happy place when it comes to food and the amount of food we take in. You will find your happy place as I have found mine. We have to allow ourselves the ups and downs and continue to work it through.

Your scale will move down soon! Mine was stuck FOREVER! Chin up my friend!

Oh Sandy I loved the stone throwing. That is so cool. Just think one went in the water in England for me. Woop Woop!!!!! I feel better in sprite already just reading that.

Hey girl just eat lc. You don't have to count or worry. The weight will fall off if you just stay off the white stuff and eat meat salads and lc veggies. Just watch the salad dressings in pubs. And any added stuff in the salad like crunchy stuff. Just stick with veggies in the salad and meat egg and cheese.

Don't forget on the way of fruit its berries of any kind, and melons but not watermelons because too much sugar. All the other fruit is out while you are first dropping because they have a lot of sugar. Also Bannanas have too much fat and sugar. You can add this stuff back in later after you have gotten closer to where you want to stop.

Also watch the cheese. Don't over do there. You will do great. You don't have to put down here what is going on. A lot of people do not. Love Ya just the way you are.!!!!
