SUNDAY My new start.....

161.2

My meals today are going to be

B Banana
L Bowl of mixed Fruit
S Apple if I get hungry
D Chicken Salad

I already feel a bit better knowing I don't have to have anything heavy for breakfast, and after doing this for a week I want to start drinking some nice green juices.....oh I am really looking forward to this....I love my fruit and my salad....yippeeee.

Thanks Ladyinlove for your encouragement.....I think what I am doing might be the south beach diet, I will have to go and have a look as it might be nice if I could call it something.

I hope it works well for you, Sandy! Strict low carb is not for everyone, or should I say every body. Eating fruit, veg, plus meat/fish/eggs is still lower carb, and also quite Paleo/Primal. Enjoy!

So yesterday was the best eating day...fruit fruit and more fruit, and then dinner was
Spinach, red onion, freshly cooked warm beetroot, celery, tomato, cucumber, peppers, grated cheese, grated carrot and spicy chicken pieces that I fried.....oh yum

I don't know why this way of eating really appeals to me but I love it, hopefully all of my energy will come back in the next few days, the sun is shining and the sky is blue so if it doesn't rain I will have a lovely walk at the beach.

Larissima, I have heard that word before Paleo/Primal I will have to go and look it up as I would like to call this something lol, thanks for stopping by, you are doing amazing.

I have had the most amazing day today....walked along the beach from Ryde to Seaview and found some little woodland area's just off the beach, we walked for about an hour and a half and then walked back again along the sand, the tide was coming in but it was just all so beautiful, I felt like I could have walked all day, the dogs are now tired out thankfully but I seem to have a bit more energy today, its good to feel my energy returning and feeling a bit healthier.

Well eating was brilliant yesterday, I totally stuffed myself on a mix of pineapple, melon, grapes, pear, apple, but no mango's as they are still green and then I cooked a beef roast which I had with my salad last night....and then was really naughty and had three small glasses of red wine....

Ladyinlove San Diego sounds amazing...also the desert, I can't imagine living by either of those two, and I am sure your weather is amazing as well, we have had to much rain this year, ohhh gout sounds nasty, its lovely you are looking after him so well.

Hello Sandy,

I am back now that my family has gone. They left this morning around 6am..

I love the idea of eating fruit and salad.. I was eating salad with chicken for breakfast before my family came down. Now I think I will get back to that but will eat it for dinner. Going to try protein / fruit smoothies for breakfast. Need something fast, I start back to work tomorrow..

Keep up the good work and I am so glad you are getting your energy back.. I hope mine comes back too!

Jeanne, fruit smoothies are so lovely yum, yes my energy feels back to normal and I feel happier, if I remember rightly it was juicing all the greens etc that made me want to bounce off the wall, I am going to start juicing next week so I am looking forward to that and the increased energy...hopefully anyway...by the way Jeanne what is your temp today.

Good Morning Mary....80 degrees with a chance of a lovely cool shower, sounds divine, I am looking forward to waking up and drinking my coffee in the garden, its still to chilly to do that here....I remember the vanilla coke's.... I used to love them but they don't seem to sell them over here.

This afternoon was amazing, we went to Bembridge beach, beautiful cliffs and lots of rocks and little rock pools, we waked for three and a half hours, the little coffee cabin was closed which was a shame as I was dying lol....but a lovely day was had and lots of exercise, now the dogs have eaten their dinners and are snoring.
Tonight I am having something different to eat than salad, but I got the recipe out of my old glycemic index book, called chicken jambalaya....so it will be interesting to see if it affects the scales in the morning.....ok off to eat my dinner.

Thursday 27th February

Battery went on my scales....so...yahoo I can't weigh this morning, it actually feels good not to weigh...I wish I could get the mind set of just weighing once a week...I feel like an addict wanting to know the numbers on the scales.

B. Banana
L. Bowl of mixed fruit
D. Chicken Jambalaya

Mary and Jeanne I would swap you my beaches for your sunshine and warmth any day of the week, I can't imagine living somewhere with nice warm temps all the time...wow....you are both so so lucky.

Oops maybe to much fruit, I will try cutting back a little bit

B Banana
L Bowl of mixed fruit and then in the afternoon had two oranges.
D Smoked haddock with huge salad and a small sweet potato

I am thinking in the next few days of having a go at JUDD, I have been researching it and it does sound interesting....I can't do atkins for definite, so if the scales move again in the wrong direction I might give it a go....but I will give this another few days to see what happens.
Today the sky is grey, hopefully the sun will come out, but it doesn't look like a good day for a walk on the beach, and hubby says it is going to rain, so it might be a good day to clean...

JUDD is a good way to go. Give it a try and see.

I love to clean when it's raining outside. We had a bit of rain last night but should clear right up today and be lovely.

Yes, I am going to have to change some of my food to see if I can get the scale to move, just not sure as to what.

Off to work, have a great day!

Jeanne...thanks...it was reading your journal that made me research judd, I have been researching it off and on for days now, but I am still on the fence, one minute I think I should do it and the next I am not sure lol, I have to make my mind up by tomorrow afternoon as that is when I am going grocery shopping and need to know what to buy, but it might be nice to try it out, I get bored really easily and just find it encouraging to try out new things.

Becky, it is so nice to see you back again, you have been missed, sometimes life just gets in the way but it is so nice to see you again, sending you a Friday hug.

Today is grocery shopping day so its been fun trying to figure out what I am going to be eating this week on JUDD.....yahoo I am definitely going to give it a try, so today I am not weighing and will have my up day today and my first down day tomorrow....yesterday I decided to track my calories as I have never counted calories before, I thought my eating was ok yesterday but it came out about 1,600 calories and that really shocked me as I was hungry when I went to bed lol....I guess I am going to be learning a lot about counting calories and weighing food, I didn't know I had to weigh food to find out the calorie content, I guess it does makes sense when I think about it...what really shocked me was my banana after weighing it yesterday morning had 169 calories....good gracious....I think it will be a while before I have another one.
The other thing that shocked me a bit was according to the doctor on JUDD my calories are going to be 1,343 on my up days and on my down days they are 269......so I have been researching like mad to see what I can get the most bang for my buck on 269 calories lol......I do wonder if I can do it.....269 calories is not very many, although I have read to start with you are allowed 500 or less so I might go with that and see how I go.....anyway I do like to change things up a bit so it will be fun having a go.

Sandy those numbers don't sound right. if you don't mind saying what is you hgt. and weight and age. My weight is between yours and my numbers are not that low. Maybe you age and hgt is the reason but I want to check so you don't cheat your self. I left you a big note on my site. Let me know and I will double check. We need every cal. we can get. HEHEHE!!!

So I had my first up day yesterday, it actually felt like I ate to much, I was shocked when I got on the scales this morning as they said
163.2 I am actually looking forward to my down day today....I guess maybe to see if I can do it, and also because I feel like I over ate yesterday although I was still on target for my calories....I have read that when you first start Judd it throws your weight off for a few days or weeks, I am hoping this is just days though....anyway its going to be interesting to see how it works out and I am looking forward to counting calories which I have never done before and also weighing food.

Anyway and thanks for everyone's support, we all need it don't we.....

Jeanne...that is so cool, we can do it together.....
I have been up for about four and a half hours now and can't believe I am not hungry yet, but I think I over ate yesterday so am still full up lol.

My down day today, I have brought some Satsuma oranges, I think they are about 35 -40 cal each, so I am going to start my day with one of them when I get hungry...I decided to buy a weight watchers frozen dinner so I would for definite how many calories I was having, so that is about 240 calories I think.

I did buy some other things yesterday just in case I got stuck...I bought
Rice crackers which are 38 cals each,
Low sodium chicken and beef broth 7 calories a cup.....
Ryvita crackers which are 42 calories each,
Laughing cow light cheese and one triangle of cheese is 25 calories.
Eggs, I am not sure of the calories in hard boiled eggs yet, but they do fill you up.

Anyway of course I won't be eating all of that lol, but I thought if I got a variety it would stop me getting bored.
I have been told my Down days should 336 so I am going to aim for that...
Anyway its cool you are doing it as well....I have just joined the March challenge on Judd board so I can post and weigh in daily and also ask questions if I get stuck....you should think about joining as well....Hope your Sunday is a good one.

Hey Sandy so glad you had a great first up day. You will fill full and you will go up by 2 or 3 lbs after most up days. Don't panic that is normal. Just try to hit your DD number for for the first 2 weeks you can do 500 to get started if you feel you can not go down that far.

I just had a up day and jumped from 144.6 to 145.3. So just keep going and you will do fine. Oh by the way my eggs say 70 calories per lg. egg. I just had a slice of lowcarb bread and a egg. Then going to do a atkins bar later today to keep the numbers as close to 300 as I can. Good Luck

Oh my gosh it seems to be working....how exciting....I had my first down day yesterday and was worried I would find it hard but it was a breeze and I really enjoyed it, last night I even had a skinny cow ice cream and went to bed feeling really full, so I was shocked this morning to see the scales moved in the right direction...I am totally in love with Judd right now, it is magical....today is my up day and I can eat whatever I want yahoooo lol, well whatever I want up to 1681 calories, anyway I am so excited, I know the scales will be up tomorrow but then they will go whoosh down again, anyway am trying not to get to over excited just in case it stops working, but so far so good.....I totally love the fact that I can eat my fruit still, eat bread if I wanted to (I actually don't want to eat bread) but totally anything I want, I am loving this.
