Oh my gosh girl you are doing great. Unlike me I am doing all wrong today. I have got to stay away from eating out. I blew it big today. 1043 cals and 53 carbs. I keep forgetting I can not have what I had on JUDDD. I goffed and got a big salad with apples and all the fixens. Oh well it could be worse I could have ate burgers and fries. With pie on the side.

Keep up the great job and you will be there next week.

Sandy - your stats are great! We both just might see a drop tomorrow! Hope so, anyway!

Judy - Just think of all that fiber you consumed! Prepare for tomorrow - you may need to stay close to the potty!

Julie - Way to go on the stats!

Happy April to you Sandy! I've caught you finally! Just down a few more ounces and happy that the scale keeps going down. I've always been a burnette sweetie! Maybe I had highlights in my hair in the other photo or the sunlight was dancing off my halo lol ! Got to keep the gray roots away as long as possible. My little Emma was arranging daffodils when her momma came home - she love love loves her flowers! Just like Grandma!

Good job on your weight recovery from Mother's Day ! Let's make it through another day!

Mother's Day sounds like it was wonderful Sandy, it's so nice to have our kids around. Sometimes. haha Your dedication is amazing...you're doing so well. I think about food journaling but I'm kind of a "hit and run" eater so I wouldn't be very good at it. I also find that when I'm low carbing my appetite is so much lower so I sort of naturally eat less, usually only once a day as you all are but then on some days I feel hungrier so I just go with it as long as it's low carb/no carb choices. I fell off the coconut oil bandwagon yesterday so if I'm feeling up to it I'll get back at that today, again I'm still on the fence about it. But I can at least use up this jar I have and I do enjoy the little chocolates so why not? Hope you have an excellent day today and continued success!

Todays Stats

Calories 835 carbs 13

Really wish I could have gotten the calories lower but it was the lamb that did it.

by the way everyone just a quick question ....I cook all my food in coconut oil, I throw spoonfuls of it over my roasted peppers and mushrooms....I also cook some of my meat in it as well.....I looked it up tonight and it is really high in calories but I haven't been counting them.....do you think I should be....I use about three big table spoons on my veg and about one tablespoon on my meat sometimes... this could add up to a couple of hundred calories...do you think I would be better off using olive oil to cut the calories down.....or keep using the coconut oil but then should I count the calories...if I was only using a little bit I don't think I would be concerned but I am using quite a bit...

Is there a big difference in the calorie count of CO vs OO? I haven't used OO in awhile. I always figure in the oil, butter, etc. that I use when cooking. I add the calories for a teaspoon of CO (3 tsp in a tblspoon). You are not eating all it. Some remains in the pan and your DH is getting his share too. I eat a smaller portion of the food I prepare, so I figure DH gets more of the oil than me. Why don't you cut back on the amount you are using to 1 1/2 tablespoons? But it hasn't hindered your weight loss. And it is good for you. My CO has 120 cal per tblsp. Sometime real butter is a better choice with 100 calories per tblsp. Nothing better than oven roasted veggies in butter!

I use both CO and a pat of butter when I pan fry my fish... Don't really count the calories, since most of it is still in the pan...

I wish I had known about all these things ages ago, it was only this year I learned that olive oil changes at a high heat, and its funny as so many people still don't know and keep cooking in olive oil.
I certainly got enough exercise in again today, as I had to go to town which is up a quite steep hill, anyway so finally got home and then remembered I had forgotten something which I really needed so off I went and did it all again....so two days in a row I have had really good exercise as I walked for two hours yesterday.....now fingers crossed it doesn't make me hold water lol.

Julie let me know how your fat fast goes, whether its easy or hard and if it gets any pounds off you, in another week I might have a go depending on if I really get stalled...also how many days are you doing it for.

Actually I had a change of plan.... Because I am trying to get into ketosis again.... Only eat when I am hungry (l have to keep repeating this at night!!!) of the following:
Eat just meat, eggs, cheese, and fats, such as coconut oil, olive oil, butter, and mayo - (I remember another lady in the atkins blog that did this...
mthrgoose Started Induction 2/22/13 at 300.6 to 166 ~ No Longer Obese - Made it 3/14/14)

until I hit a plateau... then maybe a fat fast...
am re-reading Taubs, why we get fat - - interesting that it talks about what I have been doing to myself in the last week....for me just eating carbs is like an alcoholic taking a drink....
