Way to go Julie, I was so pleased to read that its working, its an exciting journey....I have not weighed this low in about 4 years when I got to around 150, it is brilliant finally finding something that works....thank heavens for that pesky Susan woman lol as I wouldn't have thought of doing this.
tonight is my meat night and I am really going to try hard not to have nearly 200 grams of protein, I had never before looked into how much was good for you etc....this is amazing that we can all share advice and idea's...I have learned so much....
My daughter has just lost five pounds doing this lol.

What is it with fish and losing weight....so I went onto youtube (thanks Julie for mentioning that) and there are loads of people eating fish and losing weight, I think most people call it the fish and broccoli diet.....I am quite happy at the moment doing alternated days with meat and fish....but what if I were to do fish every day....one day fish with salad and the next instead of meat and my roasted veggies, do fish and roasted veggies....oh I think another experiment is under way lol......it will also keep my calories lower....so I am thinking I might try fish again tonight....just to see if it works...

Baked salmon all day long... lunch and dinner...yum
Love baked salmon, olive oil with a hint of lemon and salt&pepper.
I think my husband and I originally liked to eat fish because we could eat more of it and still lose weight. And of course we love to eat!!!

Stats For Today

Calories 590 Carbs 18

I feel like I have overeaten on my dinner, so even though the calories are low it felt like to much....maybe my fat tummy is getting smaller lol....I have to be more mindful and stop eating when I am full instead of eating the whole thing....but I wanted to get my calories higher lol....how weird that sounds.

Tomorrow I can't do the fish again as we have this big piece of lamb that I went and took out of the freezer....oh well it will be a nice change and when I go grocery shopping on Saturday I can stock up on fish....interesting to see if my scales move tomorrow just because I had fish......there is one guy on you tube who lost 14 pounds in a week just eating fish and broccoli so many times a day....I guess that is one way to get it off quicker lol...I could def do that for a week if it were possible for me to lose ten pounds.....

Julie....I love salmon.....I must remember to get some lemon juice as I keep forgetting,, thanks for the reminder...it sounds like you are eating great, I think you are going to have a whoosh lol.

Good stats Sandy! Go to the Main menu - there is a thread about "Just Meat".
Do you think giving up the salad and veggies will make a difference? If I could stop snacking it would make a BIG difference for me!

Thanks Susan off to have a look...you mentioned salad and veg, it would make it harder for us I think giving it up, but.I think if I stalled for to long I would try 0 carbs for a couple of days to see if it got it going...someone actually mentioned that somewhere and put the thought in my mind....and I did think about doing it if the scale didn't move today.....but then what could you eat, only meat and fish....and then wouldn't it put the calories up....it would take some thought...but then again maybe it wouldn't hurt putting the calories up as you would be in deep ketosis....I think we should see what the scales say in the morning....and then figure it out.....

Oh Susan I am so tempted to snack...I love nuts especially cashew nuts... and maltesers lol...ok don't get me going lol

Ok read it....it sounds good, definitely worth a try if the scale stalls, I honestly think your scale is going to move in the morning...so give it until tomorrow and if it doesn't move again then do it for definite, but I know its going to move....honestly for definite not a doubt in my mind....tomorrow you will weigh less, honest....

So the fish trick didn't work lol....it was fun to see if it would though, and in a way I have to say I am glad as if I had been down a pound I would have been eating fish every night lol...so back to alternate days of fish and meat, which I kind of prefer anyway.....

Sorry your experiment did not bring a different number for you. I did eat fish as a snack last night. I'm in a holding pattern. I guess it's better than a gain. Feeling anxious like a caged animal! I need, need, need to get outside before I burst! Rain is now expected for later today and over the weekend. Such a looooooooooooooong winter .
Next week will bring my sunshine though!

Good morning!
Down another .7 - - yahoo....
I didn't have the fish all day(just lunch) dinner was chicken over salad...
I do think I should do fish once a day however...
Just thinking after I lost the first 17, I did plateau for more than 3 days....got out of whack & then went off plan for a few days. Yes I did gain 4 pounds, but if it resets my body...so that I can start losing the next 17...??? Or switch to 'just meat' or 'just fish' ?? This is what I have planned....I've got a way to go...

Hi Sandy! Things look like they're still working for you...don't be disappointed if the scale doesn't move every day, I would be jumping for joy to lose so much so fast. I've kind of gotten used to not seeing the scale move...maybe a pound a week and for several weeks in February not at all. I'm just happy when I don't gain! I wanted to ask you (and anyone else who cares to chime in) do you take any vitamins or supplements? I take quite a few, even when I'm not low carbing, so I was curious what others are doing.

Julie....brilliant on your loss again...you are on a roll now lol....that is interesting that when you did stall you ate off plan and then went back on again to re set things....if I stall I will either do 0 carbs like a fat fast or do the same as you I think....but I would have to be the same weight for a week I think to start worrying a bit....but it might happen so its good to have back up plans...I am so glad things are working for you again that is so good to hear.

Mary....I am just taking my usual vit c 1000 mg timed release and my fish oils every day, I keep meaning to add more but keep forgetting, I would be interested in what you are taking....no I am fine with those pesky scales not moving every day, as long as they move now and again or once a week I can cope with it lol....I am excited about going into those 140's now....but have to admit I am starting to feel a snack attack coming on lol.....but hanging tight to my willpower for now lol.

Well I have to go out, I think I got stuck to my chair again this morning lol....see you all later.....

27th March 152.2
28th March 152.2

Here's to the downward trend!! You can do it!!

Yeah, off plan, but the consequences - - bad carb flu...not sure if this would be my first option next time....

Stats For The Day

I have no idea lol....funny

I had my flax muffin 134 cal 4 carbs....I forgot to weigh my dinner....huge amount of lamb as it was just mouth wateringly amazing...and veggies.

I have never forgotten to weigh so I have no idea where my head was....I still feel full and its nearly four hours later so I def over ate yet again...something I have to work on.

For some reason I am craving bad things....pizza, chocolate, cashew nuts...I have no idea what is wrong with me, I think it started yesterday but it has been a bit worse today....I won't give in, but its not feeling to easy at the moment ....to be honest I think I need that sun to shine and I think I need to go for long walks on the beach, hard walks up some hills and some days out in the countryside....but its freezing outside and I am getting fed up of walking in the cold.....please mr sunshine come and play tomorrow as I need you.....well here's hoping....I won't give in though, I just wanted to ramble about it feeling a bit harder right now..

Oh Sandy! I know how you are feeling! I want to snack, snack, snack the night away - but I am going to try so hard not to put the wrong things in my mouth! I keep asking myself "what can I have that has NO carbs?" Can of tuna, cheese stick, some sandwich meat, pepperoni........hmmmmmmmm
we'll see how it goes!

And we have NO sunshine either on this side of the pond! Going to rain all weekend

Chin up girlie! We will make it!
