WHAT! Oh, you know I want to call you a "T***D". Good for you! I am the same 155 and now I'm sad - this is what I get for my misbehavior..... OMG - I need a scale drop this week or everyone will be calling me "Fatty Fatty 2 x 4 can't fit through the Kitchen Door"! I need to go on the Bacardi and fish diet to catch you. Stop dieting so fast .

Well first day back on towards a hopefully better modified plan. Just doing Low Carb and Low Calorie. Mostly just doing fish and some kind of low carb vege for meals 2x day and coffee of course. Staying around 600-800/cals a day. Staying away from processed foods...of course. Afraid to get on scale but plan to Wednesday after carb water weight comes off.

Sandy - your doing so well... What kinds of fish are you having?

Thanks for all the advice...

Susan lol....the Bacardi and fish diet that is soooo funny lol, we should write a book and call it that.... in fact when I was telling my daughter about you and what you had come up with she said you actually should lol....my daughter is now actually doing it as well starting this morning, she doesn't have much to lose about 15 pounds but she is in shock at how well this is working....lol love the little poem lol.

Julie so are you starting with us? that would be so great, then our club will be called SSJJJ....weird how are names are either S or J.....I think any fish would work but I have this thing for smoked haddock, I think because its smoked it has more flavour, although I do put butter and hot chillies on mine as I love spicy....let us know how you are doing....

Hey Julie...that is so cool you are joining us...if you don't have a journal you can post your night time stats on here if you want to...its entirely up to you, I have found its just fun to see what everyone else has been up to.....or you could start a journal so we could cheer you in there....whatever makes you happy lol....I am all for happy, to much stress in the world as it is.....by the way if you come up with any other spices for fish let me know, I have loads in my cupboard but never know if it will go well or not so always just stick to chilli peppers.

Ok so a quick experiment before I have to go out....I thought I would write down what the main thing was in my dinner next to my weight to see what it looks like, and to see if different meat effects the scales....

15th March 160.8 Shepherds pie Interesting....2 days in the 160's

16th March 160.2 3 Sausages

17th March 158.8 Fish 2 Days in the 158's

18th March 158.2 Lamb

19th March 157.4 Chicken 1 day in the 157's

20th March 156.2 3 Sausages 2 days in 156's

21st March 156. Fish

22nd March 154.6 Beef 2 days in 154's

23rd March 154.6 Fish

24th March 153.4 Beef This is my aha moment which means I will be 153 point something tomorrow.

Maybe I should take it for what it is lol...I tend to overthink everything....

This is so much like me...we must be related...lol

This guy on youtube, I did a search on fish diet to see if anyone out there was doing this exclusively(yeah like all things on internet--grain of salt)... Found 3 people so far... The first guy lost 19 pounds total, 14 the first week... Then he lost 5 the second... Yes, it was monotonous but sometimes I just don't want to think....about what everything I eat so eating the same thing for awhile at least gives me peace. I think the first week it was water the carbs hold... So maybe 5 pounds weekly... I'll take this too however...

I also remember zellweger(splt?) did this when she lost weight after Bridget Jones movies...one of my favorites(I have many...)

Still even this type of diet might plateau after awhile...?? I'd really like to know what's going on when this happens to me... Am I eating more and not writing it down?? I also think that as we move downward on the scale our bodies need less calories and the plateau means this too...?

Hey Sandy I am home real sick. Just got up for a few min. Got some kind of infection. Just going to post numbers for today and go back to bed. My eyes had Glocoma in both. Had each one done 2 1/2 years apart. That is why I am getting off here. Eyes are in sever pain. Am off balance, coughing andwater pouring out my eyes. Which is odd.
Susan and Jeanne I am not meaning to be rude but must post on my sight and get off. My number for this morning is 145.1 Have not thru up or anything so that should be true weight. I just tried to eat something. Will keep track Love all of you. Judy

Judy - hope you feel better... Illness can be tough and stay on a diet...

So far so good...
7:50am Coffee/creamer
Lunch
10:25am 1/2 can tuna w oil - feeling hungry and called into a 11am meeting that I knew would be long. Good thing I did the meeting was until 12:20pm...
12:30pm had the rest of the tuna...
drinking grape powerade zero on ice- - it says no carbs or calories, but I add in a carb and 4 calories, because the government here doesn't require that vendors include specific information if under a carb...
Green tea also as needed...usually I do 1 bag and reload with hot water a few times...
1t coconut oil - - feeling hungry not in ketosis yet...
Dinner plan-- swordfish/salad ...was thinking broiling with red wine vinegar, olive oil or coconut oil and italian seasonings(container sold with grinder included) with hot pepper flakes ...hmmmm

Have a sweet tooth....so dessert is a mocha coffee (yoohoo brand has an artificial chocolate with 1 carb)...

Plan to walk/jog with Leslie Sansome this evening... 30 minutes planned.
I like her upbeat music and attitude.

Julie....Whoop whoop you are doing it...brilliant, I was only telling my daughter to try some tuna earlier when she was trying to think of different things to have....it sounds like your eating is right on target....and ohhh swordfish don't think I have ever had that before, let me know what its like as I saw some at the weekend....also let me know what the Italian seasoning was like on it lol.....I could do with trying something different...

About what you said earlier at the end of your last post about hitting a plateau....the guy in the article said it was rare this happened, at least I think he said that, in the question and answer part at the end one guy did write and said that it had happened to him, so his advice was if it was to happen then he should eat to maintain his weight for a few days to a week, and then carry on cutting the calories...I actually think I might go back and read it again.....anyway I guess we will all find out soon enough in our little group experiment lol, I'm not sure if it will as the guy in the article mentioned the jews in the concentration camps....they didn't hit a plateau, they just kept losing....I am only going from the article but I will go back and read it again....I totally loved that article lol....
That was so interesting to read the research you have been doing, I drive myself crazy with that lol....so some people have really tried just fish and salads and have been doing great on it...wow I didn't know that......oh another thing I have tried with my fish and salad to make my salad more interesting is I do roasted red peppers and one roasted tomato to put on the top.....I love the sweetness of peppers when they are oven baked.......I love Bridget Jones Diary lol.....also used to love Pretty Woman, brilliant movies I have watched over and over lol....that other thing you said about needed less calories the more weight you lose....do you think that might be someone who is eating say 1.500 cal a day and then as they get smaller they just need less....but does it apply to us who are way down in calories....ok definitely going to re read that article lol...

Julie....You did really well with your carbs and calories, well done, so looking forward to seeing how much you have lost in the morning.....its a shame your dinner didn't work out for you.....sometimes life just gets in the way...by the way what is isopure.....

Jeanne....Swai fish lol....that is funny, I should go and google it now.

Do you all think adding fat is detrimental or helps? I have been reading the grain brain by Dr Perlmutter and he says that fat is important... When I did the fat day with coconut oil... I felt really good...
Still not sure about this one..

lol well I made it up to the bedroom but I think I am addicted to this forum....or addicted to discussions on losing weight...hubby hasn't moaned (yet) but I am sure I bore him to death these days lol.

Julie that isopure sounds really good, I had a friend in Canada who swore by her whey protein drink, I don't know much about them but I do know she was rail thin lol.
I wish I did have a clue about the fat, maybe one of the others will know....although I am trying to keep my calories low I am trying to eat fat as I know it is filling and all the research these days say it is good for you...I am sure Susan might know more on this as she eats coconut oil I still can't do that one lol....but I do cook in it.....Susan where are you? she will be on in the morning and will see this.....see you tomorrow...good luck with those scales although you aren't going to need it lol.

here's a link girls re: healthy fats

Just put a little coconut oil on a teaspoon and put it in your mouth and let it melt. It's tastes like nothing, but it's smooth and silky!

Now I have the opportunity to catch up with you ! Just kidding! Maybe not! Because I really want to catch up with you! I just have to be patient, which is hard to do . That link is another long read, but informative.

How much have you lost this month?

Susan I loved that link....I had to read it twice to get it all into my brain...but it was really interesting reading about hydrogen and carbon and how it all changes when there isn't any hydrogen etc....it was really informative....then I got lost into the site on face creams and then restoring your brain with coconut oil, no wonder you eat a tsp a day....I just ate my first teaspoon, it says it puts ketones into your bloodstream which repairs brain cells etc....also from the site I got another recipe for my face cream....have to go back and read more lol......
This month I have lost 9 pounds, but it only really started coming off when we started doing this new way of eating which was on the 15th March....we are going to be skinny minnies.....

Good morning ladies
I just tried it off the spoon last week or so. In the first 10 minutes it
can give me a queasy feeling then it goes away... But it does
give me energy when I am on a DD.

Looking to get into ketosis today using this oil...
