Still at 214. I forgot to do my fbg but after coffee I was 120, so that's pretty good !

Today got away from me. It feels like April is one of the shortest months in the year !

Still at 214. Fbg was 158 !?! I did wake up early. I find the longer I sleep, the better my numbers. I need about 9 hours of sleep.

Still at 214. Except the new scale was acting weird. It did the EEEEEE thing and then said 200 ! I wish I could have walked away with that. The next reading was 216 - no bleeping way ! Then 214.0. I was about to say okay but just to make sure, I stepped on it again - 214.4. That scale is utter junk.

I missed my fbg but after coffee I was 141. That is not good. I can only imagine what I was when I woke up. So last week I had good morning numbers and this week it's not so good.

So good news ! I lost a pound ! And I refuse to disbelieve it even after the weird way the scale acted yesterday ! It's gone and it better not come back !

So now I am 213 and this close to the 210s ! Very exciting. I have had less hunger lately and don't think I have been eating much. Good for me.

FBG was 159 - . I am not feeling well so that is probably it. I hate how the slightest illness will mess up my blood sugar. I'm trying to get these numbers under control here ! I need my body to cooperate.

IT's gorgeous day and D'Argo is nagging me to take him out. I must oblige the dog. His wish is my command !

Still at 213 ! Forgot to do fbg. It was a busy day. I've been working on Moya's pen. I should be finished by tomorrow. I will definitely post pictures.

I was wandering around the home store trying to figure out how I was going to make it with the dimensions of the pallets I found today. It didn't take long for me to feel wiped out. I was looking for one of those electric scooters to ride on but couldn't find one. Then I saw 2 different people riding them. I really have no energy at all. Hopefully my bloodwork next week will explain that.

Still at 213 ! I really have not been hungry lately. I've been busy with cleaning house and building Ms. Moya's pen. I'm having trouble keeping her sneaky behind in it ! She breaks out every chance she gets ! She hasn't foiled me yet. I have one more idea....

I forgot to do fbg. I was so tired this morning. But I just checked and I'm at 100 ! A great way to start the day ! All I had was coffee and no meds at all !

Thanks. Well I always start the day with Bulletproof coffee.

Most of the time I don't have lunch.

Dinner lately has been fast food like a McDonald's salad, Wendy's double stack without the bun.

One night I made pesto salmon and baked cauliflower with garlic and parmesan.

Yesterday I made a pesto chicken salad with artichokes and olives. It was yummy so I had seconds.

About every other day I will have a slice of low carb zucchini bread I made with almond flour.

So today I am up a bit to 214.2. I'm not surprised because I have been slacking on water for the past 3 days while I worked on Moya's pen. Can you believe that little devil is still escaping ? I think this morning it was due to human error. We have a chain we loop through the lattices and this morning my son left some slack at the bottom.

Her mama, Sheba, actually enjoys the pen. I don't know why but she is more than happy to get in it. Yesterday they all got on my nerves (except D'Argo) so I locked everyone up ! I will take more pictures of the outside later.

Left to right, Sheba, Mario and their daughter, Moya.

Wow! You hardly eat anything!!! I eat breaky, lunch, dinner, and snacks I've never tried bullet proof coffee, don't think I could stomach it. I have put coconut oil in my coffee before and it seems slimy. Your menu sounds very tasty though. Why do you skip lunch?

I didn't miss lunch on purpose. I was just working and didn't feel hungry so I never made anything. Then when DH came home, I realized I was hungry and sent him to get something. I had lunch today, though. I stopped snacking, too, except before bed once in a while. I'm throwing the zucchini bread out. Every time I eat it, my fbg numbers seem a little higher.

The trick with the bpc is to blend it. Then it gets a little frothy at the top like a frappe.

Ms. Moya is in my avi but I will post more pics later. I don't know how to use my camera phone real well. The pics came out too close and they always seem a little dark.

What all do you put in your BPC? I read somewhere it has to be grass-fed or organic butter. Is that right? So you put it in a blender? LOL I'm so confused!

Zucchini bread sounds yummy. I have been snacking on coconut oil/unsweetened cocoa powder/splenda mixed and refrigerated. It's better than nothing and all ingredients are legal.

I see her in your avi - so cute!

I'm not really all that precise with my recipes (probably why I had so much trouble in chem lab ! ). I just don't think it makes a difference. Especially when I read on some site I had to buy some fancy coffee.

So I use my regular instant which is Nescafe Classico, butter, coconut oil, hwc, stevia and hot water and blend it all in my ninja. The whole point is you get a LOT of fat and zero carbs. I've seen a lot of people drink like 32 ounces and not eat all day. I use 1 cup of hot water and about 1/4 cup hwc.

They call your snack fat bombs ! AG, I made a Ferrer Rochero batch a week ago. They were divine ! All I did was do one layer of cocoa mix, one layer of ground hazelnuts mixed with coconut oil, stevia and a little cocoa and another layer of cocoa mix.

So here is more of the pen. It seems Miss Moya is accepting her fate.

So today I went up 1 pound but no surprise. I barely got 5 hours of sleep. Now the dance begins. I go up, I go down. yada yada yada.

How about fbg ? 108, baby ! Yeah ! And I had one of hubby's ribs last night before bed. If I get down to the 80s in the morning, I may ask my doctor to take me off the glimepiride. I should be seeing him next week anyways. I had a lot of blood drawn today. I don't know how long it will take to get the results back but I am curious about my cholesterol. I've been taking krill oil so I hope that has done something.

Today I was back at 212 but then made the mistake of stepping on the scale again. 213. So I was reading about scales and unless it's on a totally flat surface and never moved, I'm going to get varying readings. Right now my scale is on the bathroom tile which is definitely uneven and I constantly have to move it because it never stays where I put it.

I am going to move it where no one should touch it on the hardwood somewhere.

Fbg was 126. Not too bad.

Last night I tried a different low carb pizza recipe from fat head. I really don't like almond flour but it had other things in it that I hoped would affect the flavor. Nope. Still didn't like it.

I've got s few more recipes to try. Hopefully one will come out good.

Happy Easter !

I moved my scale to its new home and it is telling me 213 so I will have to accept that for now anyways !

FBG was 123. Not bad at all. Last night we had watched a movie together so I scarfed down a bag of popcorn (3 servings !). I took 2 r-ALAs with it (per the instructions - take 2 with a carby meal). I went from 97 to 145. That's not a good thing to do but that popcorn was delicious ! No regrets !

It's my birthday so I am trying to decide what kind of cake to make myself - chocolate or tiramisu ?

Thanks, AG ! I made a low carb mocha cake and it was rich tasting and delicious ! Hubby and I went out to lunch. Usually I make the rounds to all my spots that give me a free meal on my birthday. This time I went to Moe's and had a salad with a bit of beans. I went crazy on the chips. Total no no. But my blood sugar did not go over 147, although I am paying for it anyways.

Oh, well, what can I say ?!

I gained some weight after my birthday eating. How much, I am not sure because even though I moved the scale, it seems determined to lie to me. I went to see my endo today and he said I had not lost any weight since last time so I'm guessing maybe 2-3 pounds.

I put a new scale on my wish list.

Let's get to the good news. Because today I am totally back on track. I went to see my endo who my husband has been accusing me of having a crush on him. And ?? The man has an accent ! I'm supposed to ignore that ?

Anyways, good news is he was able to pull up my lab results from Friday and even though my cholesterol is still high, it has come down a lot in just ONE MONTH. He was convinced I needed a cholesterol medicine and that my diet would not help. I proved him wrong. He is still not convinced the numbers will continue to go down. Whatever. He'll just have to be patient and see.

I won't see him again for 3 months. But he took blood today so he will probably call me soon with my new a1c results. I'm hoping to be 6.6. I have become so obnoxiously competitive with myself and lowering these numbers.

I have been slacking on posting here for no good reason. I have terrible pms and have gained about 4 pounds per usual.

The good news is my new a1c is 6.5 ! This lead to me a radical decision to change my meds. I'm not really supposed to but I'm at a good spot with my blood glucose and want to optimize. So I didn't take my glimepiride last night. The reason why is because it puts a strain on my pancreas and I only have one. The result is that my morning fbg was higher - 143. The way I am going to address that is increasing my metformin by 500mg and taking an extra r-ALA at night. So I need to journal to keep track of how it goes. It will take a few weeks for the metformin to show any improvement in my morning numbers but maybe the r-ALA will work faster.

The other good news is that my bad cholesterol has gone down even more while my good cholesterol went up 2 points - in one week ! That is due to the krill oil I have been taking. My doc does not believe it will continue to go down even though he has two tests that show it has gotten better. This guy is really stubborn.

DS did not get into the summer program we were hoping for. Now we have to figure out what to do with him. He applied for a scholarship program that might send him somewhere during the summer but that is no guarantee. He does need to prepare for the SAT so if I can afford it, I will try to get him enrolled in a test prep course. So much to do with that kid !

Thank goodness his extracurriculars are over. This past weekend was the state championship for Ultimate Frisbee. His school ranked 9. I am glad he found something he enjoys that requires running !

So this morning I weighed 213. TOM is seriously late - 7 days so far. It's very strange.

So now that I stopped glimepiride, my bg #s are slightly higher, almost 20 points. At some point, I will have to decide if it has been worth it. I am going to pick a number and if I see numbers above that, I will take 1/2 a pill. No need to go crazy with it. I think I will go with 150 for pp (after meals). I am not sure about fasting yet as I have not been checking it regularly.

The good news is my blood pressure looks like it is going down. I am going to figure out how low before I stop taking one of those meds (I have 2). One of them is actually known to cause diabetes in susceptible people. I had no idea !

Still 213. I forgot fbg but I just tested and I am at 128 after two low carb apple cinnamon muffins with cream cheese.

I love eating this way ! Last night I made myself some dip with guacamole, sour cream, olive oil and lime juice. Then I dipped it with 1/2 cucumber.

I think I have some leftover beef/cauliflower with cheddar. It kind of tastes like hamburger helper. I'm also in the mood for pizza ! Still haven't found the perfect lc crust.

I didn't weigh today but fbg was 152. I really need to space my meds for optimum control. I keep forgetting.
