Refocusing AGAIN

Since this is the board I most frequently visit...I guess here is the place for me to journal. My journal wont be very interesting...Im more likely to focus on my eating ,exercise, and struggles with the demon scale..than juicy details of my private life.....I suppose the act of writing it holds me accountable... and looking back on it , I suppose I will get a whole different perspective of my journey. I had a great eating and exercise day...then after our small group evening..I went home and couldn't sleep....I drank a full caff. coffee at our meeting...then I binged on a cup of Emerald almonds ( choc)..sigh..I felt bloated and kinda sick..this morning Im back on plan....will go to the gym for exercise..or a walk or a bike ride...lots of water....

I hate when that happens

I met my exercise goal today and then some....a great 110min trail walk w/ my dh...we saw a flock of peacocks!! Breathtaking...got a little turned around had to climb out of a gully..LOL...my calves feel it!!!

I ate great....easily passed on the mashed potatoes...and razzleberry pie w/ ice cream...drank decaf instead yesterday when we had our dinner party...sent the leftovers home with our guests!!!!!

Today was"
B" l/c bagel w/ cream cheese ( think Im over the l/c bagels)
scrambled eggs w/ ch and turkey
L: Bunless Tommy burger
D: Green beans w/ turkey....roasted chicken..

What a week!!!! Im getting ready to go to the gym! I woke up feeling great..Its my day off...I get to pick up my precious grandson from school...I hope to get an hr at the gym and an hour walk in the park...eating is great!..I ate a lot yesterday in the first 1/2 of the day....all legal...most of it after my exercise...I think my body needed the extra food....it ended up being probably 10-15 extra carbs...Im not worried...it was all good stuff pared with protein...but at dinner after eating my salad..I wasn't hungry..so I ate a little meat then let it go...

Started the day with cheese curds and roast beef.. not hungry...but I am bringing a Quest bar in case I need it after the workout...

I needed the quest bar..I got shaky late afternoon....I wasn't hungry at dinner so just ate the lc meatloaf...

We went for a ride on DH new motorcycle!!!!!!!!!!!! I was nervous abt mounting the bike...its like mounting a horse...same principle...I was afraid it would cause my DH to dump the bike..( I felt HUGE)...the bike didn't waver AT ALL!!! Im not graceful but my weight isn't a problem!!!! Honestly I was stunned...

I weighed today...156.4 up a bit..I don't care..I was sick all week with strep.. I didn't overeat, but I was sedentary...Im almost back to par..Im going to try to hike the canyon tomorrow...maybe the "bunny" trail!!!

I did it!!!!!!!! We hiked the canyon!!! Bouldering!!! climbing!!!! 3 hrs of exhausting trailblazing and WE DID IT!!

Sounds like you are doing great....I love walking as well but hate exercising lol, hiking is amazing though, I think I did a three hour walk at the beach today, your weight is dropping...totally brilliant, just popped on to say well done.
I would love a motorbike ride though, sounds amazing, what a rush you must have had.

We've been hiking consistently for almost a month..Im a novice to all the bouldering and scaling...but my ds has been patiently training me to do a very difficult local trail....
walking I just plain love.....our weather is great so I can do that abt 9 months out of the year!!

I haven't been here in a very long time...its time for me to stick to this journal...especially now that I am in maintenance.. I will be sticking with one message board as my accountability place...LCF .....

Maintenance is a challenge...slow as I lose ...I CAN lose....maintaining is the challenge..this time I have tried to think of what factors I used in maintaining before, helped me maintain my weight for years at a time....what did I do different that brought me to 20-30 lbs gained...why didn't I intervene before it got that high..??? what disciplines did I let go of...??..

So far the 2 factors that kept me successful are: 1. regular exercise and 2. weekly weighing. I know there are others but these are the ones Im focusing on

I weighed today 142.8...wow what a drop....I knew a whoosh was coming had all the signs..but ...uh..Im not trying to lose...Ill take it though...not sure if I can maintain it..I am exercising more....it is blasted hot...so I go to the gym now....I work from home so it ends up being my trip out among people..LOL...so I work out longer...I am eating more fruit..plums from my tree and grapes from my vines...Ive had 1 pc of Killer Dave's bread 2 x this week...had a bar after my work out a couple of times...these are the differences this week..<confused>

140.8..I just posted my current picture...I found that darling dress...sz2...fit amazing easily zipped...no spanx!!! I feel beautiful...and young and fit in that dress.... staying on plan is sooo worth it!
