you are doing geat! good job for being prepared and not letting work derail you! My problem is that I have two little kids and I have to make sure I don't touch their carby food, crackers, bread etc. I have been perfect so far, there have been times preparing pasta for them or toast that I have wanted a bite. I can't not give my kids those foods as they are still growing and need carbs so I just have to deal with it being around me all the time. Yesterday I took them for fast food, it isn't something I do often, it was just a treat for them, well I ended up not eating anything until I got home, I just didn't want to eat a flavorless bunless burger. It takes a lot of preparation and will power!

Thanks, ladies! My husband seems back to normal now, he says there's just some stiffness in his back. That's a huge improvement from a couple days ago though, so I think he'll be totally better very soon.

Wish, I'm sure everything is harder with little kids! Some days I feel like I can barely take care of myself, haha. You're doing a great job though! And congrats on the victory over fast food!!

---

Today I weighed myself 3 times because I couldn't believe what the scale said-- 226.8! But it came up the exact same number every time. Wow!! I guess I had a tiny whoosh waiting in the wings there. Feeling great today! Energy is up, it's supposed to be 70 degrees outside today, and I'm going to a hockey game later tonight with my husband, BFF, and our mutual work friend. Feels like Friday! Too bad it isn't!

Gracie-- Thank you! It was awesome! We actually won for once, haha. Had a great time.

Wish-- Yikes! I've heard a lot of people are getting snow lately. Hopefully we're done with it here. Weather's been all over the place lately, though. Yesterday it was 70 and today it's back to being cold and windy.

Bren-- Thanks!!

---

Well today was the dreaded bounce after reaching a new low: 227.4. Still good, though! It doesn't freak me out as much when I know I ate on plan the day before. And it doesn't hurt that we snapped some pictures at the hockey game last night, and my face is so much thinner I almost died from glee. I have a neck! OMG! I'll have to share some later.

Happy Friday, everyone! Hellooooo weekend.

"I have a neck"

My problem is not seeing any difference whatsoever in the before photo I took 2 months ago! I just know there is one because I measure and weigh less but the camera has been cruel maybe time for a new one?

I am back bearing pics! First, for prosperity's sake, here's one of me and my best friend at another hockey game back in November before I started LC'ing:

And here are some from last night!

Well, uuuugh, it's Monday again. I bounced around in the 227's all weekend, and then this morning-- 229.4! What?! I have no idea why I bounced so high, I stayed on plan all weekend. Drinking lots of water today and just waiting it out. Having kind of a bad day already due to annoying work-related stuff. Hopefully 5:00 will be here like lightning! Thankfully my weekend was relaxing and fun at least.

Your face is slimming on down...very cute pics! I love the tortoiseshell frames, btw.

Hope you have a great day! I'm sure your weight will be back down soon. Our bodies like to play games with us sometimes.

I can see the difference! good job!

Don't worry too much about the scale if you know you have been good. I am annoyed with the scale too, I am making a couple of changes this week so I hope I will see a whoosh soon!

cute pics! I can certainly see a difference, isn't that a great feeling? It's one thing when the scale shows a loss, but it's nice to be able to see it for ourselves.

Don't worry about the bounce! It's just an unfortunate, very annoying, part of the process. Keep it up...!

JG-- Thank you! When I was a kid I used to make fun of my mom's tortoiseshell glasses, and now I wear them myself hahaha. I guess that's what I get!

Wish-- Thanks! It is SO annoying, but I know I should take my own advice and not make the scale everything. It's hard not to be at least a little frustrated though, no matter how much I know in my head that it doesn't mean I'm not ultimately losing. Good luck on your whoosh! It'll come soon, I'm sure of it!

Bren-- Thank you! Yes, it really helps out a lot! Especially when the scale is annoying me. I'm still trucking along!

Lady-- Hey! Thank you very much! I do kind of the same thing. I put my daily weights here in my journal, but I onlywrite down my weekly weigh-ins on an index card I keep in a drawer in the bathroom. That way it's easier to see that I am still losing overall, even though I might not see it day-to-day. Nice to meet you too!

---

Well, today is my 3 MONTH mark! Wow!! I am so psyched that I have made it this far. I'm so proud of myself for sticking with this, and I'm really seeing results from my hard work. Even though some days are more of a struggle than others, I'm doing my best to make this work and I think I'm really growing stronger as a person as a result also.

This week I've been a little frustrated because I felt like my loss is slowing down, but when I look at my numbers I know that's just in my head. I'm losing steadily-- and actually pretty fast! So this week I'm going to try to be more intentionally positive and patient with myself.

Today I'm back at 227.4 and feeling just a little bit bloated. Upping my water again today to hopefully flush it out. I'm getting my hair cut later so I'm really excited! I think it's a great way to mark 3 months of progress!

Thanks, Gracie! About six months ago I went from having hair down to my shoulder blades to a pixie cut! I got married last May and had been growing my hair out for yearssssss. I always wanted a short cut but everyone kept telling me I should have long hair for my wedding. In retrospect I should have just done what I wanted lol! I'm much happier with my short hair-- much less maintenance. I have wavy unruly hair so having it long was a major pain!

I'm about ready for short hair too. I've had long hair forever and it's a pain in the arse. I do really love a ponytail though

What about some pretty highlights for spring?

Happy 3 months there Lauren....I think you are doing just GREAT!!!
I have just finished my 1st month and now into the second one but I ready to go..
I like your hair...I use to have long hair too until I moved here to AZ 5 yrs..ago...and after the first summer I got it cut...now it is short but I might even go shorter soon...not sure yet lol..

Did well today...made a chicken dish with some leftover creamed cauliflower and made it into a soup...so I used up my leftover stuff...

My DH and I are going next week to California for afew days and I wanted to check my list of things I might want to take with us to make sure we stay on track... I am not a water person but I will drink the Walmart flavored waters without the carbs and cals...I found some smaller bottles of it today so I will take them with us with a couple of diet drinks...I also like those Oscars 3P protein packs...they are handy to have....I don't snack anymore so I have one of those for my lunch.....Walmart had them for a $1 instead of the $1.79 so I tried them...I like them and their just enough to satisfy my need......

Scales looked great this morning...but I don't change my ticker thing until I know it is for real LOL
I don't take my measurements but I like how you have....I just try on clothes that I want to wear again for now....and I can feel the difference started ...love that part...

Have a great evening all

Gracie-- I like highlights on other people, but for some reason not so much myself! I tried them once before and just preferred my natural hair color.

Wish-- Thanks! We're in this together, haha!

Lady-- Thank you! I got it cut even shorter yesterday! I got the sides and back a little shorter and the top/front a little longer. I like it! Easy peasy. Good thinking, planning ahead for your trip! I've never been to CA (or out west at all for that matter), but I'm going on a trip to NV with my mom and grandma in June. I'll have to take a page out of your book when the time comes!

-------

Well, today I'm at 227.2! Still stuck in the 227's, but the lowest one I've seen yet. Hoping that means I'll be seeing 226 again tomorrow! In any event, I'm more than pleased with my measurements, so I"m not going to let myself get too caught up on what the scale says. I fit into some size 18 pants (woohoo!!), which means I've lost two pant sizes since starting! Nothing too exciting going on today otherwise. I'm going to take a new progress pic when I get home to add to my monthly ones. Didn't get a chance yesterday because of my hair appointment!

My daughter Erin has beautiful red hair too. I guess the more I think about it, I wouldn't want highlights either! My hair is a dishwater blonde/brown so I'm always highlighting it. Don't worry, if you are staying on plan the scale will eventually cooperate. Two pant sizes is awesome!!!!

I like your hair Lauren....cute on you and I am do like it when it is easy to keep....Mine is alittle longer now but it is easy to just use my curling iron real quick...One day I will snip snip it again...lol

I am just proud to be where I am now for only being on my plan for 5 weeks...18lbs down... I don't do induction on purpose ...just cut the cals. some and the carbs for sure....I am like you where the scales just keep that jumping bean move up and down .this or .that lol We are close to the same weight but I am a lot shorter..at only 5ft...barely...5ft at that....but it is odd how so many of us women are designed with different body looks...how our weight is in different places...mine are just sorta balanced all over so that helps me alittle to not look as chunky as I am....

Gracie...I like your long blonde hair...I sometimes would love having my brown long hair again...My hairdresser looks to add red to my brown hair but sheeeee gets too carried away so I said slow down...lol Living in the desert when it gets way in the 100s....makes me love short short hair...for sure ....

Well time to work on one of my projects...Have a good day allllll

Gracie-- I LOVE the name Erin! I used to always wish that was my name haha. I think your hair is gorgeous!

Lady-- Thanks! Yours is cute, too! You're right, it's amazing how different we all are. My mom is petite and small, sometimes I wonder how I came from her LOL. She's 5' tall and about a size 10.

---

I'm back today bearing progress pics! WOW! I think I made a lot of progress this month! It's not super noticeable, but it really is to me.

Thank you, Lady! You're too sweet!

Today I saw 225.6! What? Woohoo! It's kind of exciting now that I'm three months in, I'm starting to understand the rhythm of my body. I feel like I'm getting into a nice little groove and I'm loving it! I'm sure it'll be up a little tomorrow, as that's my pattern, but knowing that I'm making steady progress is really uplifting and encouraging.

I'm REALLY looking forward to the weekend now, because my husband and I decided to go to the zoo in Columbia on Sunday. We went there on one of our first dates back in 2009 so I'm pretty excited about it. And now that I'm doing so good on LC I'm sure it'll be more fun! No more foot/knee pain and shortness of breath.

Lauren ...Have fun at the Zoo.... Never to young or to old for the Zoo for they are fun...My DH and I are going to Universal Studios CA next week to just have a fun day....So we all need somewhere we enjoy ...we never know where we will end up at but we have fun going there...and my DH and I are in our 60s now...lol

I am learning one thing about my body too ...I noticed on my calendar that I have lost a lb...every other day...mmmm and the days in between have been those days that had a .2 up to a 1 gain...and then it drops the next day....My goal is to reach my first 20 off next week...so I have 3lbs to go....224 ..here I come and there I go...
