Well, got the worst news today... my grandma passed away early this morning. We did not have the best relationship so I'm going through a lot of emotions right now. A lot of sadness, bitterness, and guilt all wrapped up in one. Even if I don't think she was a good person, she was still family. I binged today-- dark chocolate and whipped cream-- but I'm not beating myself up about it. I'll be on plan tomorrow and just give myself time to process what's happened. But I'm not giving up on this! I have invested too much into making this change to give up at the first major upset. Maybe having this to focus on will help pull me through, too.

Hi, Lauren --

You are doing very well with your plan & taking daily challenges in stride. I need to work on my water intake myself, so thanks for the reminder!

I am keeping you in my thoughts in regards to your grandmother...lots of virtual hugs being sent your way.

Hi there, just dropping by to say hello-- sorry to read the sad news about your grandmother. When it comes to weight loss it seems that emotions can be our best friend or worst enemy, depending on which ones we're experiencing. Take time to work through your feelings and get back to a positive place-- each day is a new beginning. Sorry I sound like a fortune cookie, hope you're feeling better today.

Thanks for the support, ladies! I really appreciate it.

I'm back today (obviously!) and trying to move forward. I managed to stay on plan and didn't have any other urges to binge eat. So far so good! My family has been staying with me for the past week so it was a challenge to stay on plan, but I did it. They're headed out this morning so it's back to business as usual. This morning I weighed in at 230.2-- so close to kicking the 230s to the curb!! Hopefully I'll get there this week. We'll see!

Thanks, Wish! How have you been doing? Any good recipes lately?

Today is my 10 week mark, and I weighed in at 229.4!! I am so excited to see a new "decade" today. It'll probably bounce back up before going lower again, as that seems to be my pattern. But I'm still pretty stoked to kick those 230s in the face. Hiiiiyah!

Thanks, JG! I'm hanging in there!

Today I was up a little bit-- 229.8-- but I expected it so I wasn't really bummed. That's progress in of itself! I keep a chart with my daily weights in it, and there's definitely a pattern forming where I hit a new low, go back up a little bit, and then lose a little more. Don't know what that's about, but I'm rolling with it. Glad it's already Wednesday... I'm SO looking forward to this weekend. I really need some down time after a week with family and the drive to and from IN in two days. My emotions are still kind of all over the place. Just trying to keep busy and keep my head above water.

yes when I see a new low I just know that it will take a week to stick, it goes up the next day and then up and down for a few days, it is really annoying but as long as I can count on that happening...I'm good.

Hey, Wish! Yeah, I think I'm the same way. As long as I end up lower at my weekly weigh-in, I guess it's okay that I bounce all over the place during the week.

Today I'm at 230.6. Ugh! Guess I'm going to bounce around a little bit before I'm firmly in the 220's. Oh well! I know I've been eating on plan so I don't think it's a true gain. Surprisingly it's not affecting my morale as much any more. I guess because now I've come to expect it after reaching a new low. Not much else to say today-- sooooo ready for the weekend! Can't wait to sit on my screen porch and browse pinterest hahaha.

Yesterday I drank even MORE water than usual, and I think it actually helped me! Today I'm at 229.6 and feeling really great. Yesterday my team at work had a free ice cream and cake day (seriously, they do that almost every week) and they even asked me to cut the cake for everyone. I laughed and said NO!! It's bad enough they have that kind of food here all the time, let alone asking me to serve it to everyone else hahaha. I brought an LC ice cream bar that I made so I could have a treat too. I actually think my treat was probably better than plain vanilla ice cream and raspberry cake from Publix. I made it with cream cheese and HWC and put dark chocolate ganache on top, and a little bit of peanut butter in the middle. So good!

Not much else to say except thank GOODNESS it's Friday! Wahoo!!

that ice cream sounds sooo good, I must make some ice cream soon! I made the most tastiest almond (flour) and raspberry muffins, so good it was hard to stop at one. I will post the recipe on my journal if you want to try them out. Have a nice weekend!

Hey, look at that! We are at the same weight today! We finally broke through those stubborn 230's! I'll probably bounce again as well, but it's nice to at least see a different number for once. Way to go!! Impressive measurements also!

Thank you, Heather and Wish!

Today is my 11 week mark and I'm at 229.2. These 229s don't want to budge! At first I was a little frustrated that I'm only down .2 pounds this week-- but then I realized last week I had a crazy loss of about 3 pounds. So I guess it evens out to still be a good rate. My hubs hurt his back at work so I've been busy waiting on him hand and food, lol! He's going to the doctor today and hopefully will find out it's nothing too serious. Seems like just a pulled muscle to me, but I'm no expert. Hope everyone had a good weekend and Monday!

Thank you, Gracie! You're totally right! I might take a peek when I get home just to see where I'm at. He just texted me that the doctor said it's just a pulled muscle. Gave him some pain meds and a muscle relaxer, so I think he'll be fine in a little bit!

My 14 year old son was at the ER at 4:00 am Thursday morning because of horrible back pain/spasms. They gave him pain meds and told him no activities for a while. He woke me up at 3:00 am crying and saying it hurt so bad he couldn't breathe. He's already feeling much better. Apparently he was wrestling with his girlfriend and my DD (11) and was picking them up. Probably did it then!

Aww, poor thing!! He was much the same. He was complaining of some soreness after work on Thursday, and then last night it was much much worse, like a spasm. The irony is that he did it during injury-prevention warm up exercises, haha!

you're kidding!

the only time I hurt my back so bad that I could barely get up was when my son was 3 months old, I don't know how I did it, I just woke up one day unable to get up, it was kind of scary, extremely painful! I had to nurse the little guy lying on my side and it hurt SO BAD. I couldn't take anything for it, thankfully it only lasted for two days or so.

Way to go!! Congrats on 11 weeks down!

Don't be discouraged by the scale, any loss is a win in my book! Especially pulling a larger number last week. You're doing great, keep it up.

Oh, and I think I know how your hubby feels!! I was trying to be a badass in my class last night and think I hurt myself doing the "Rows" .. I'll survive though.

Hopefully it's nothing too serious with him though! The back is one of the worst things you can injure.

Haha, I wish I was kidding! He seems to be doing better today so hopefully he's on the mend. The doctor said it could be anywhere from 7-10 days before he's fully better, but that it shouldn't get any worse than it is now.

Thanks, Bren! Oh no! I hope you feel better! I know it's no fun to be sore/strained. I used to do gymnastics a billion years ago (can you imagine?! haha) so I'm familiar with all sorts of scrapes and sprains.

----

Well, today I'm at 228 even! I was feeling smaller this morning so I had a feeling the scale was going to be kind to me. Woot woot! One day I'm going to have to take a video of my victory dance. It's pretty bad. But good. We're having a team lunch today, which is being catered by Moe's. Usually they give us a salad option, but this time it's all burritos. I'm going to just ask for a lot of lettuce and make it into a sort of salad myself. I brought a back up lunch just in case. I'm not going to be derailed every time we have food at work, because it's a pretty regular thing!

Happy Hump Day, everyone!
