Here I go again...back up a pound. They should have a roller coaster smilie on here. 144.4...144...145.2...144.6...145.6...144...144... 145 There are my weight numbers for this month so far. You would think I was in the maintenance phase of Atkins! Come on!!! Part of the reason this is so frustrating for me is before the holidays I maintained at 145 and wasn't doing LC. That is my fat weight before I went nuts from Thanksgiving to New Years. So for me in my mind I have lost nothing until I get past this 145 mess.

Yesterday I was feeling tired, had a headache, really didn't do much. Took a nap before DH and I went out. Had a nice meal with a glass of Pinot G. Took a chance on that one...not one to drink but just on special times. Does alcohol make your weight go up? I did go over my 20 carbs for the day. I tested ketones this morning and I was in moderate to deep. That was comforting. Feel like just drinking water and not eating today....which in truth I'm sure won't happen. Hopefully I can at least get back to 144 tomorrow for the weekly total of 0 weight lost. Maybe I will get a miracle...lets stay positive right?!

Menu from yesterday:

B~Coffee w/ HC(1), splenda(.5), Atkins shake(2) mixed with 1 cup power greens(.3), 2 T. PB(6)=9.8
L~1 cup cabbage(4), boneless skinless chicken thigh(0)=4
D~Ruby Tuesday: Salad(4?), ranch(2?), Ribeye(0), spaghetti squash(4?), wine(1.8)=11.8

T=25.6
Exercise-none

Yep, I read it all. It did take awhile...I learned from your journal to keep on keeping on! You never gave up. Instead you would re-adjust, which was the key to you meeting your final goal . This is something I'm not so great at

I hope you felt better today and I know the weight will move. No stress...right???

Beth your doing great and ur menu looks good! Water shifts day to day! I get ur back down to 144 tomorrow. Drink more water on days u have wine. When I was on Jenny Craig my counselor told me to drink a full glass of sweet before and after u drink wine. She called it the wine wash lol! Have a great rest of your weekend

Hi Beth, sorry to hear about your frustration, I can see you are working hard at this.

I am going to say the standard thing, are you measuring smaller?

I don't really have any advice. I am into my fourth week and last week I gained, now I am back down but wondering if it will stick. It is hard to see this THIS early in the game but I am sticking with it, I will see how I do at the end of week 4 and adjust my diet if I need to to get the scale to budge. I have at least 50lbs to lose so it is VERY frustrating and I am eager to see the results very SOON!! I am learning from people like you I just need to keep on!

Hi everyone! Sorry I haven't been around much. I have had a sick kiddo and also getting ready for this big storm to hit. It snowed all day today. I have been cooking all day so that I will have plenty to eat in case the power goes out. I hate these ice storms!! DH brought home a generator. We had it stored at our business and haven't used it for a while. I'm glad he tested it because the fuze was blown. Thank the Lord he was able to get out and go get another one.

Been staying on plan but really haven't kept up carb counts. Just trying to write what I ate down. My weight is the same plus or minus half pound. It is what it is. Just hanging in there.

I will post if I am able to and the power is on. Hope everyone is great! Talk to you later!

Hi everyone! Wow, I can't believe it has been a week since I have been on here! So sorry!! We got through the sickness, through the snow storm, and now through the holiday. My kids FINALLY go back to school tomorrow! Yay!

Last week I wasn't able to get to the gym....the snow made me feel really lazy and just wanted to eat. I didn't cheat thank God, but I did eat way more than I should of LC foods. With all that laying around and eating my weight went up a couple of pounds. This week I started back at the gym, got my eating back in portion and this morning I was only up .4. So, I am feeling way more in control and a lot better! Now...just got to get my behind back to reporting regularly here! I am determined to get past this 144 weight!!!!

Here's what I ate yesterday:

B~Coffee w/ 2.5 coffee mate tubs(2.5) & stevia, Atkins shake(2)=4.5
L~Atkins shake(2), 2 bacon(0)=2
S~2 stalks of celery=1.7
D~Boneless, skinless chicken breast cooked in coconut oil(0), 1/2 cup stir-fry vegetables(1.5)=1.5

T=9.7
Exercise=1 hour Zumba

Kids are at school today and the house is quiet again...except for the washing machine that may run all day. I've got to get caught up with my house. I have 10 college guys coming Friday night for my DS1 21st birthday party. So, lots of cleaning and running errands to do between now and then. We had DS3's 11th birthday party this past weekend at the Lego movies. He loved it. My first and third kid's birthdays are the 24th and 25th of this month. They are 10 years apart. Makes for a very interesting month .

Menu from yesterday:

B~Coffee w/ 2 coffee-mate tubs(2.5..have to get some more HWC), mock danish(3)=5.5
L~Leftover chicken in CO(0), 1/2 cup stir-fry veg(1.5=1.5
D~Linda's Meatloaf(3), 1/2 cup spinach w/ butter(1)=4
D~Diet Swiss Miss hot chocolate=3

T~14
Exercise:1 hour Zumba

Weight this morning: 144.8...up .4

If you have never tried Linda's Meatloaf, you should because it's fantastic! Here's the recipe: MEATLOAF - Linda's Low Carb Menus & Recipes

You have a busy month! Aren't boys wonderful? I have 3...ages 17, 14, & 11... My 11 year old went to a birthday party this past Saturday and saw the Lego movie too. He liked it.

You are doing great...you sound so active...I'm busy, but not that active...I sure need to step it up!

Hi Beth,

I can definitely relate to the close birthdays. My two oldest sons are the 26th and 28th of Oct and then Halloween. It was chaos back when they were younger and I would bring cupcakes to school, throw parties and also get ready for trick or treat. Now I miss those days .

Does the Swiss Miss coco help with sweet cravings? I might have to try it. Thanks for posting the recipe recommendation. I'm always looking for something new to make. I think I have food ADD . I get bored easily.

Hope you have an awesome time with your boy this weekend. Get rested up beforehand...10 college kids for the weekend...you will never leave the kitchen!

Becky~You have your hands full too!! I'm sure you are way more active than you think! I think us moms just get used to the busyness .

Hi Lisa:hiya: Great to see you here!! Thanks for stopping by...I know you don't have much time...but that's great to be busy in business! Have fun with your daughter...precious time!

skyesmom~I bet October was fun for you!! Wow! Yes, the Diet Swiss Miss hot chocolate does help me wanting something sweet after dinner. It is also comforting and relaxing. I have found that drinking something hot at night while I'm finally sitting down to watch TV really fills me up and helps me not snack. You are so right about the guys not leaving the kitchen! I was at the grocery store today trying to make the most of my budget with plenty of food!

zipp2play~I'm so glad you stopped by!! Party for my 21 year old.....well, he wanted his dad's famous Rib-eye steaks. So, we are grilling rib-eyes! Besides the food...we have a fire-pit where everyone can roast marshmallows, several big screens where some will be playing Xbox and others maybe the Wii or watching movies. They really just hang out. It's just guys, so don't have to worry with any girls around. My son is in the School of Christian Ministries and goes to a Christian College. They aren't into the whole drinking scene.

mattmich6~Thank you! I remember my 21st too. I actually got married the month before I turned 22. I can't even think about my son getting married yet!! Funny how you think that you are so grown at that age!

I have been waiting all day to get here and give yall the good news!! I FINALLY broke the 144 weight!! I weighed 142.8 today!!!! Doing my happy dance! I guess all this running around and having my mind off food has helped!! Sure hope it sticks and maybe even drops some more tomorrow!!

Menu from yesterday:

B~Coffee w/ 2 coffee mate(2.5), stevia, Atkins shake(2)=4.5
S~Mock Danish=3
L~Atkins bar=2
S~Celery stalk(.8), laughing cow Swiss wedge(1)=1.8
D~Half size Wendy's BLT Salad without blue cheese crumbles with avocado ranch dressing(4), splenda tea(2)=6

T~13.3
Exercise-None but cleaning house

Hi everyone! Sorry I've been MIA for a little bit! I believe life is slowing down a little bit more now where I can start posting again every day.

Weight has been the same...gaining and losing the same pound over and over again. Really frustrated right now. Feeling the stress and the panic of weight loss not moving. Although I am very proud of my husband and mom for losing so easily, it is really taking it's toll on my emotions. It seems like everyone around me is dropping weight like flies, and I'm just stuck. I even hid a friend on FB that was irritating me so with all of her post and selfies about her weight loss. Then she goes and post pictures of what she is eating....fried foods. Ugh! Why???? I have completely stayed on plan. I have not cheated at all since Jan 5. Why is this weight hanging on to me?

I think about The Biggest Loser and when people stall on there they always come around to what are they hanging on or struggling with inside that is causing their bodies to hold on to weight. Is that me, I ask? Got to really do some soul searching and find out what is going on!!!

I have gotten away from writing down my menus so I have none to post. Gonna start back today doing that. Only got to the gym once last week. Need to be doing some type of exercise every day. My energy is low. It really is no fun being older and in menopause.

OK, enough complaining. Gonna get myself up, put on some music, and get my house back in order. Last 3 weekends have been so hectic. First DS3 birthday, then last weekend we had 11 in the house for DS1 birthday. This past weekend was family (12) for both of their birthdays (yes, we believe in celebrating lol).

Hope everyone has a great week! I'll be around to catch up!

Girl,WE believe in celebrating too. That never helps with weight loss either. No matter what plan you follow, too much partying, well, a person ends up nibble more here and there....it adds up! ANymore parties coming up???

Have you considered JUDDD? I ask because several that are on that plan, started LC only to stall, then switch. Think about it. I know I enjoy it.

OH and for me, I don't watch Biggest Loser anymore. Way too many reports of what happened behind the scenes that isn't good for anyone. Let's face it, if we all had 8 hours to work out in a day and were confined to a Ranch were only XXX type foods were, we would/ could all lose weight.

You can do this girl!!!!!

OH and don't compare YOUR weight loss to anyone else's. I know, easier said than done. My DH started JUDDD the same day I did. He dropped 40 pounds in less than 3 months.. DOG! Me, I lost 18 in that timeframe. Now, I try not to inquire about his numbers. It only messes with my head if I do!

Thanks Monica for your encouragement! Not sure if I want to change over to JUDD or not. I will have to check it out some more.

L~tuna w mayo, cheese chips made from 1/3 cup finely shredded cheese
S~Atkins bar
