Feel ya on this. I feel like this right here is the key to being able to stay the course this time.

I recently went DIY auburn. It is hard to get right. Got way more red than brown. But it's not like somebody else can't mess it up, too. Like the last time I got my haircut where she hacked the crap out of my bangs that I had just told her I was growing out. She obvs cut without asking how short BEFORE she cut because I didn't mistakenly say, Yes, go ahead and make them shorter than they've ever been before. So I wasn't about to trust her with color.

Hi Madmarsha!!

I totally know what you mean about trusting hair stylists. I have not found one in over 5 years who knows me well and listens. My previous stylist retired and since then I have had nothing but bad luck and disaster cuts. I have alway had an drastic Aline haircut and to do that style you have to be precise. One wrong snip and it becomes shorter and shorter with layers placed wrong. Since last year I have decided to just grow my hair out with simple layers.

I have a nagging headache today. I'm almost betting that I'm in full ketosis right now from this symptom. Also yucky mouth, thirsty and full energy. I woke up early this morning for being a saturday. lol....I was hoping to sleep in for just awhile longer but didn't happen.


I'm sitting here now enjoying egg drop soup w/green onions and drinking my water.

Today is day 13 back op.

258 was the number this morning. I'll take it! That puts me exactly where I was at my lowest last month.


Moving onwards and downwards is the goal.

Congrats on all that downward movement. I hope yesterday's headache is long gone by now.

That egg drop soup you mentioned sure sounded yummy to me. Perfect for this cold weather although out in CA you're probably not feeling the winter chill too much. Are you directly affected by the terrible drought?

Thank you and yes, I had to break down and take 2 tylenol before making the egg drop soup yesterday and within the hour of writing the above post I was feeling better.

It is by far winter out here....more like late spring weather here. The temps have been in the low 80's and dropping to about the low 40's for over a week...maybe 2.

Right now it's a hazy 53 degrees and will get about 77 today. The rainfall has been very little this last year. The last time we had a rain was in october for maybe a day and then about 2 weeks before thanksgiving where it rained for about 3 days on and off.

California is notorious for its Bi-polar weather...lol

Ubberly Wonderful......

I had such a wonderful day yesterday! The S/O and I had a nice day hanging out with the kids. We ended the night sipping coffee and watching 2 "bleeding heart movies" (as he calls anything that has a moving or touching plot) together after the kids went to bed last night. The first was Management with Jennifer Ansiton...Such a cute movie. The other was Guilt trip..... another good movie....Seth Rogan and Barbara Streisand made a great combo.

It has been many months that he has not had to work on the weekend or schedule in side jobs that I was shocked when He told me he refused to do anything for anyone this weekend and was going to spend it at home with the family. I told him this morning that I feel like Im on cloud 9. lol.... I guess I really did/do miss him. When hes super busy I don't think about it so not to dwell.

Just wanted to journal my mood.....

Ok....now for the nitty gritty.

Today is day 14 for me back OP .....Day 8 for the S/O. It took him a few days to get into the full swing of things and once he sees progress he commits full on.

We ended up getting pizza and hotwings for dinner last night. The wings are baked (no breading) and the sauce IS questionable. I scalped 3 pieces of sausage and pepperoni pizza and had 6 wings.

Downfall......... that stuff went right thru me. I know....TMI.

We have had this numerous times and this was the first time.....blugh...


Due to how salty it was I drank an incredible amount of water to ensure I flushed out my system.

The bathroom was my friend last night...lol

The S/o is now down 6lbs. I notice change on him quicker.

Today is my scheduled "UP day" ........

Tonight I'm making marinated garlic ribs and Some form of Cauli....THinking of making some Garlic/Green onion Cauli bread or faux garlic bread as I call it. It's so great.

I'm sure I will see a bump tomorrow....but I know it will be temporary and will not let it bother me.

If I have another loss.....Well all the better!

Just wanted to drop in before bed.....

My dinner was crappy! I bought some pork riblets thinking they would taste great grilled......NOPE! These things are very different. Perhaps if I would have slow cooked them in the oven prior they would of been more tasty but I didnt' . They may taste good in a crock pot too.

The only thing I truly enjoyed was the cauli garlic bread I made. I splurged and did enjoy 3 pieces of it with some sour cream and green onion.

and drum roll please.........

I actually walked for 2 miles tonight. I know it might not be much but it was alot to me when Im only use to walking the DD6 to school each day. So this is a big improvement.

My feet were hurting, my calves were burning and IIIIII WASSSSS WINDED!

That says alot.

I took my DD15 with me and she helped me keep a decent stride and we ended up walking the 2 miles in 45mins exactly.

Tomorrow we are going over to a newly built park and walk the track they have there. It includes some inclines and a cool work out area. This should be fun. lol....

Well off to sing a sweet lullaby to my pillow!

15 DAYS you guys!! I am so proud of myself for getting this far and sticking to it. I can't express how awesome this feels. I think the fact that I am trying this new LCHF approach is really helping in keeping me satisfied longer. I know i'm overly excited about his but the fact that I have stuck to it for 15 days and knowing that I will take this one day at a time is really motivating me right now.




I am making chilli rellenos tonight. The peppers are 4 carbs each and I'm using about a 2tsp of coconut flour to help with coating. Yummmmmm....


Ok....I'll checkin later....I'm making sure I get my walk in tonight....Im so

Still up!

I'm not that tired.


Well I ended up making LC Chilli for dinner and some yummy LC cheddar biscuits. Pretty tasty.

I also walked 2 miles in 40 minutes tonight....5 mins less then Sunday night. Baby steps.....

I'm planning on taking a walk after dropping DD6 at school in the morning and then I 'll walk again in the evening.

That's my goal an I'm sticking to it!

I posted this on another "social" site I am on that has a great Lchf area. I just want to stay accountable.....

Ok. Although I have been in ketosis for quite some time and this woe is nothing new to me...I've learned from my recent "cheddar biscuits" that I am sensitive to them. I have had the roughest 2 days since eating them. Horrible cravings!

I did not give in but did eat more. Nothing carby except PB..which helped intensify the cravings too . It took nearly til yesterday afternoon to get past this and it is soo hard to get a craving or desire to binge out of this ladies head. I will admit ....I gave into to Diet cherry pepsi......Hands up that is my confession....I did good for 2 weeks.

So with that.....I will be walking away from anything that has almond meal in it. I know that as the trigger due to the complete clean eating I have been doing.

Ok, I just wanted to share with you guys what happened.





With that being owned up to .....I am up a few lbs ???? but I know its not due to eating off plan. I'm pretty sure it had all to do with eating the almond meal, pb and I did have a few tsps of whipped cream cheese. I don't know why I even have it in my fridge......its a no no for me.

How I Feel

I'm feeling kinda egh about myself today. It could be from Pre-tom as I felt its lil twinges coming on but mostly because I'm a bit upset that what I thought was a good food choice on Monday turned into a a few steps backwards.


I'm not swayed but just disappointed. Maybe I'm just irrational cause of pretom and its annoying emotions that wander along with it.

Good Morning Everyone or afternoon for you east coasters!

I have to say that each day I am feeling more and more better about myself. Although I have a long ways to go, my body is not sluggish anymore and my mind is more clear.

I've been walking daily but only about 1.5 miles each time. No matter what, I'm moving my body and thats what counts. To me anyways.

Well today I am going thru all my unnecessary collected junk. My kids bookshelf always seems to end up a being a catch all and I have one too MANY junk drawers for no reason at all. lol.........

I love that my family has hoarder tendencies.......YAH right!

Re- organizing is always fun.


Tonights dinner will be garlic herb chicken wings and drummets with salad.

Been 100% on point with my water this last week...No less then 80oz plus more if you count the coffee I drink daily. lol.

Phewwwwwww!!

So off topic but relevant..................


tom was suppose to show up on Monday......didn't. I took a test and apparently got what looked like a positive faint line. However, when looking up a site that did comparisons of positives, negatives, evap lines and unsures ...I realized that the line was way too close to the control. I still freaked myself out cause tom is 3days late.


Welll.....the sneaky,ornery trickster finally showed....well making its way in or out...lol.

I would of been happy nonetheless but this is ok too........very ok. I know many would be happy to see a positive....I'm just not ready to go on that 9month ride.

I'm going to assume that being late has been caused by my drastic change to my woe. Seeing that my body is in reset phase.

I'm back!

Ok, So last thursday night I started feeling crappy. Headache, bodyaches, stomach pains.

Friday morning I was just horrible. Stomach pains, naseau and by friday night I was puking.....continuing into saturday night.

I was still freaking out cause I thought tom was showing up and it disappeared. I bought a digital one and retested and nothing. So I literally was side swiped by an ugly lil Stomach flu that lasted until sunday night.

To boot...... the naseau was so bad I broke down and took dramamine to alleviate it......

Sucky whole friday, saturday and sunday. I literally couldnt even look at meat or eggs. I did have regular flat ginger ale and did stomach some ice cream and crackers. so for about 2 days I ate off plan and didnt even eat anything on friday. just water as I could.


So Back on track as of monday, and as of today I am back to where I was on thursday + a few oz.

So I will start this month off from Mondays date since I was down a few days.

Im fortunate that these kids didnt get this....or maybe they passed it to me and werent affected by it. who knows!



Just wanted to post for accountability.

Dani........ Girl!! My nerves were kinda shot thinking about the bundle of joy idea. lol....The S/O and I were totally ok with but knowing im going on 36 this summer and the high risk pregnancy with DD6, we knew it would probably be a "fun" experience again. lol

So with that ....We are sooo ok with it not bieng so too. Although I kinda got a lil dreamy thinking of the possibility. He swore If i was I would have a boy with green eyes.

It's cold out today! Rain is in the forecast and the gloom is kinda making me feel out of sorts.

I think Im back in ketosis after this last weekends fun. I've had a slight naggy headache all yesterday. Kinda felt it this morning still but it finally left. I also am feeling a bit tired and my body is warm and feels all jiggly and itchy(good indication of a whoosh here soon).

Foods been 100% on point and I'm down another lb!!

Doing measurements this weekend.....I may of already mentioned that...lol. I cant' wait to see what the loss is on that. My clothes are very loose on me and I have to keep pulling my pants up . Love it!!!

Of Topic, Filed my taxes early this year...accepted early and was suppose to receive it today. No, I guess the irs decided to not fund the accts of those who used sbbt in time and now there is a delay. The funds were just barely dispersed to sbbt today and now its a waiting game to be released to the bank. Theres alot of unhappy folks out there lol........I'm just happy that the funds will be avail within the next day....so I hope.

Well.... time to get some things done around the house.
