Good morning, Danielle!! I just saw the jump rope comments above. Have you tried that recently? O.M.G. I had a trainer at my gym incorporate that into some of our workouts and I kept whacking my legs and head and felt like death. haha He finally was like, "Just hold pretend ropes and go through the motion." hahahahahaha

I hope you are feeling better today!!!

She looks way older than her age now, whereas she looked "fit" & healthy before the season ended (when I looked at previous episodes).

On another note, 224.0 -- woot woot!

I am not good at hula hooping either...lol. Of course, jumping rope was WAY easier when I was a kid too!
I thought Rachel looked way old too... can only hope she'll be smart at putting herself into a healthy weight range now that the show is over.

I haven't watched BL finale yet, but had heard those comments already about Rachel. It does seem like the contestants, especially the ultimate winners, do wind up putting weight back on. It has to be just about winning that money. I'm anxious to watch it now.

Jayce, I totally agree with you about the jump rope. I have one, but haven't even tried to use it in years. Maybe i should now. Last time I tried I felt like I was going to die!

Another new low and 30 pounds lost! You are amazing! I'm so proud of you!
I know it's a show about money, but in the end it ultimately becomes about the health of these PEOPLE.. and all the millions of people who are going to try to duplicate that sort of success at home. As an athlete I get where her "competitive side" comes through, but she had to know there would be aftershock about her appearance...even she knows she's waaaayyy too thin. Many past alumni are speaking out saying that people shouldn't *judge*...I don't think that's what people are doing...I think there is a genuine fear that there is something wrong with her! She traded one eating disorder for another seems to be the consenus and I'm thinking that's not that far off base.

As for jump roping...I can't even walk down a flight of stairs without crashing & burning..no way am I going to life BOTH feet off the floor with a swinging rope Not yet anyways... At least with hooping both feet stay firmly planted on the floor!

OK, all this hula hoop talk, I need to look into this!
I'm hoping she regains some too, she looked fantastic at about 150...nice and athletic. The hooping thing is fun...I suck at it but it's always good for a great 20 min laugh

RE: BL...I saw the pics of Rachel on FB. She does look anorexic to me.
I never learned to double-dutch.. I always wanted to learn but never did. So far I am horrible with the hula hoop...dreadful! But I'll keep trying, hopefully I'll be able to keep it going at least for a few seconds at a time

So I still haven't done anything for my "30"...I felt like such garbage yesterday all I wanted to do was veg... and of course I was all fired up about the BL thing It's nice to know I'm in good neurotic company!

No on the jump rope... like I said, I am not to be trusted where it involves feet off the ground Major klutz with a Capital K!
Yeah, I had a trainer who asked me to jump rope..I kept telling him I can't do it..he made me.. Well, after about 10 min. of just trying to get the stupid thing around more than 2x in a row he finally gave up and said, uh well, we'll just pretend.
---------------------------------

Feeling like death today. My head is so congested I can barely breathe

Food was awesome yesterday despite the start of a cold.. Came in at 1227 calories & 1 gallon of water. Today I'm hoping goes as well because I can barely taste anything but I need to get those calories up there for a HC day... the scale's been cooperating so nicely lately I'd hate to disrupt all that progress.

Quiet day for me...spending it doing some reading (still trying to get through Dolvette's book) and laying low in hopes that this cold will pass quickly.

Sorry you wound up with that cold! Boy, you and the fam have had your fair share of bugs and ickies! Today is a good day to lay low with a book though! I must admit, I'm getting a little tired of the cloudy grays!

I love the idea of "pretend" jump roping! I never thought of that. I'm going to try it. Who knows, if I get comfortable with that, I *might* actually be able to add in the actual rope.

Have a great day, sweets!

Draggin today.....not feeling good at all..

Supposed to go out tonight, not sure that's gonna happen. At least, not if by some miracle I suddenly feel human again...my throat is killing me!

Reward day and I doubt I'll be enjoying any of it?

Hey Dani, so sorry you are sick! You haven't been on here for a couple of days, which is SO-O-O-O not like you! I also have a cold, but I don't think it's as bad as yours! I'm sending you healing vibes.. now, send me back some AZ warmth - PLEEZ!

On another note, I am pleased to announce that after reading all of your loving posts about Chris' plan.. downloading the book at $2.99, and just seeing good things about it on the internet, I have decided to try it. To get more support I went to another online site which I cannot name, and I saw you on the team!! I made you a friend! Woo-Hoo! I'll see you over there!

I think 5:2 is a great program and I hate giving it up totally. If a person can handle the fasting days and not go overboard on the other days it can work beautifully! Even though it's the opposite of the "eat 5 times a day" plan, I may try to do one fast day a week instead of a LC day. The difference between 1200 and 500 cals isn't that huge. And talk about keeping your body guessing!! This would do it! There are many benefits to fasting in addition to weight loss that I would like to have.

We'll see. I don't plan to be perfect.. If I am dining out I may combine 2 mini-meals together.. I may have a glass of wine on a non-reward day. Who knows how crazy I can get! Since I have so much to lose, just eating better consistently (key word!) would be great!

Anyway, I am excited about doing something new. I'll look forward to chatting with you about it..

Get well soon, okay!?

Hey D!!! You are doing great!! I agree Rachel was too thin and old looking, I hope she will gain some back to look healthy!!! Jump rope you will get you just have to practice a few minutes each day it burns mega calories!!!!Once you get good at it 1 or 2 minutes of that in intervals is all you need! Just practice you will master it!!! Its like jumping jacks you feel like a giant dork until you get the hang of it!!!

On a side note, so proud of you chickie!!! You have stuck with this through everything and you made great progress!!!!

Helllloooooo Friends!!!

Yes, I'm alive.

The flu.

'nuff said......

Today I feel human. Sort of.....

I can actually breathe without starting to cough or sneeze or feel nauseated.

Progress!

Through it all I made sure to stay hydrated. I got in 1 gallon of water or more, every day and I stuck to my rotations and calorie counts. I think there was one day (the first day I really felt bad) that I didn't get in all my calories, but other than that, I nailed it. Proud of myself....*excuse me while I pat myself on the back*.... The scale repaid me nicely for it too. It's all good!!!!

So, I've got an injury and an illness in the books already for 2014.... Hoping & praying that I can continue on a path of good health for awhile as I continue to navigate a little bit further down the road.

Still not 100% yet, but much better today. And I'll tell ya, thank goodness for my hubby. What a trooper, that man!

Judy, Carol, Amber, Cle

Cle, no kidding! This thing knocked me on my butt in a matter of hours and I didn't even see it coming. So thankful to finally be feeling better!
------------------------------------

Had a super day yesterday. HC and totally on plan. Got in about a 1 1/2 gallons of water.

Woke up feeling rested. Less coughing and nose blowing is always welcomed! Hopefully my poor husband actually got to sleep too. I think I've kept him up for days with all my coughing and sneezing and nose blowing. Poor guy!

I can't believe we're almost looking at mid-February! Crazy!!!!
I had set an unofficial goal for Valentine's Day to be in the low 20's...and I believe I am gonna pull it off! So happy!!!!

Giving myself the rest of this week off for exercise until I'm sure I can move without breaking into a coughing fit. So, hopefully by next week I'll be ready to roll again and start getting in shape!

I'm with Lisa. I always see your water intake and think how I'm really slacking in that department. I'm not even drinking as much iced tea as I used to.

You are so going to make that 's day goal!

Thanks girls! I dunno why I can drink water like that? It's been a long standing habit for many years, I guess? I crave it and my body and skin feel so much better when I get it all in.

A little bit of magic never hurt!
