Ahhh, Dani my dear...good for you for leaving the store with only the intended items. Will it make you feel better if I tell you that I do that all the time? Pick things up, put them down, put them back....all the time and, no kidding girlfriend...I left Walmart Super Center yesterday with NOTHING. I put everything back...and left. I felt a little unbalanced and it wasn't even a DD. I think there were too many people or something. I came home and cleaned the living H out of my fridge and made room for a turkey...when I get around to buying.

You're doing great!

As for Christmas shopping...I swear, I'm doing gift cards, I don't care how 'impersonal' they are...I like to get them so I'm going to give them. Never buy the wrong thing, never have to return something inappropriate, never get double gifted...What's not to love. My eldest DD LOVES to shop, so she'll be thrilled. The others? IDK.....

I'm so glad my restaurant is closed on Thanksgiving! No one wants Italian for Turkey Day...the one next door to us, Mimi's...is open all day for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Boo.

I love that quote you posted above, btw...very true! I think we're all proving we have the "gumption" to continue.
There used to be a time way back when, where I couldn't do the grocery by myself.. I got terrible terrible anxiety. It was no joke. It was when I'd lost a ton of weight and somewhere along the way I'd developed this aversion to being there by myself..it was crazy. I kinda felt that way yesterday, it was a close call!

Yes, we're proving we are all strong and know we deserve more!

Like I said in my response to Jayce.... it was a totally anxiety ridden experience...it was nutso.. It was crowded when I went, but the thing is I'd already began planning this "cheat" before I even got there..so I dunno... I was telling DH about it, and I know what was going through his mind...the past...like, omg she's gonna start freakin out at the grocery again! Do you know how inconvenient it is to have to *wait* for a partner to go grocery shopping....Or for the poor guy to actually have to go?! Good grief!

I love GC's! My girls love to shop and love getting GC's...they actually ask for certain ones every year and that's a relief for me. DS on the other hand, HATES to shop so GC's don't always work with him...hmmmmmm, except for maybe somewhere with lots of guitar gear.......idea!

So DD17 will be starting work @ 11pm on Thanksgiving--they're opening at midnight.. DD19 has to be @ work by 7pm--they're opening at 8pm on Thanksgiving.

Well, what a bummer... the same exact weight as yesterday. Meh.

This week has been odd, for lack of a better word. I started a different cycle--turbo cycle. If I look from last Friday to today...I'm down .2. Yes, it's a loss but not the sort of losses that I've been experiencing...all I can attribute it to is the change in the cycling... I'm laughing about it because this particular cycle is supposed to bring on quicker losses... Ummmm, not-so-much. For me, anyways. It figures, huh?

So, I guess the question becomes do I stay on this cycle or do I switch back to the classic like what I've been doing? My body seems to like the carbs. Strange, strange, strange!
Today's a reward day....feels sorta weird to be rewarding myself for a not-so-stellar-week... but, according to Chris, these days are important and we're supposed to take them no matter what.

What's really a bummer is I WILL gain after today--I always do. The big question will be how much, and how long it will take me to RElose it.

And yanno what's crazy about this whole idea of cheating???? TODAY I can have whatever my heart desires and I have ZERO desire for anything. So far, anyways. ......Stupid, huh?

We've got tons of rain last night and today so far...supposed to rain all weekend. Loving it, can't lie.

Date night...I think.. Dinner & a movie--I think we're gonna go see the new Vince Vaughn one...The Delivery Man, I think it's called? Can you imagine being the biological father of 500+ kids May take DD to see Catching Fire Sunday, looks so good!

Great pic, huh? I love it!

So, for today I have #cheatedclean..... I had natural pb on some toast--omg the horror, huh? Well, on my program, while both those things are legal...those 2 things don't exist in the same world on the same day---so yeah, it's kinda like cheating.. Oh, and when I get to combine cheese in a corn tortilla w/ protein--it's a good day.

So far I'm at my gallon of water..which is good cause I assume there will be popcorn tonight. Still chug chug chuggin....

You are so good with your water! I have really fallen off the fluid train since the weather cooled down. I usually down so much iced tea every day, but I haven't been able to get it in lately. Hot coffee and tea just goes down so much slower! So today, in honor of you, I'm committing to getting in a gallon of iced tea/water. Oh boy......cold and rainy.....a gallon of liquid.....looks like I'll be spending a fair amount of time in the toidy.

PB on toast sounds devine. Total bummer they aren't supposed to be combined. What did you decide about what cycle to be on, eating wise?

Yeah, I dunno..I guess I'm just a freak of nature when it comes to water! Totally agree, I would LOVE to drink several cups of coffee but I relegate myself to just 1...kinda a bummer Good luck, it's good for you!

I'm even more perplexed this morning over what to do about which cycle I'm doing.. So yesterday was my reward day......went to a late dinner--1/2 a burger, about 10 fries, 10 tortilla chips w/ queso...then popcorn and maybe 1/4c plain m&m's... the scale went backwards. Now, while I don't have a new low or anything, I still dropped .2 ....I have NEVER lost the day after a reward day...I've stayed the same once, but usually it's always always a gain. Totally puzzling, at best!

Regardless of whether it's classic or turbo, the day after reward day is ALWAYS a LC day so I'll take today to ponder and see how I feel by the end of the day...of course weigh-in tomorrow could be very telling as well....

Saw Catching Fire--good movie! I am probably the only one on the planet who hasn't read the books so I had zero expectations as far as the movie...

Welp, I had my first "cheat"... For whatever reason I could not get satisfied yesterday..hungry all day. Perhaps part of my "problem" was having anxiety over my dilemma over which cycle to continue with..I dunno ... I ended up having some chicken nuggets from Wendy's w/ bbq sauce..totally hit the spot but I'm paying for it on the scale. I know it's not a real gain, but it's there and who knows how long it'll take me to relose this little slip... My fault, of course...

Clean eating today--HC day. I'm going back to my classic cycle and just gonna keep going. I only hope that I didn't ruin my mojo and don't start struggling to lose again... Onward!

Danielle, sometimes you just gotta get a cheat out of your system! You have such great determination, I am sure you will be fine and lose those nuggets in no time! Thanks for the info on The Hunger Games.. I have not read the book or seen the 1st movie either..

Yep Judy, some days just call for nuggets .... it wasn't really about wanting to cheat I don't think, but more about trying to feel full.. crazy how that stuff works. I'm sure I'll drop that extra gain, just kicking myself because of how long it could take

The movies are great, and I absolutely love Jennifer Lawrence..she's a total bad@$$ in the real world..great role model for young girls, not afraid to stand up against Hollywood standards.

Yep, I get it... when I used to do Weight Watchers (over and over again), I would always feel hungry. Sometimes it was just so wonderful to feel a fully belly.. not over-full, just full.

Being good to ourselves sometimes means feeling comforted. And that sometimes means a full belly. When we want a full belly, 2 pounds of lettuce just won't do! I get it!

Tomorrow is another day!

Judy, that's it! Such a silly thing to "blow" it on, but they were good and I went to bed happy Yeah, the WW thing.... As much as I loved that idea (over & over too!) it just doesn't jive with my eating patterns

Been a busy day today..I'm thankful that I haven't felt that hunger pang today....

Something interesting I found out today...have been conversing with several ladies who are carb cycling using CP's program and a couple switched from classic to turbo only to have zero losses as well... the other's began the program from the start w/ turbo and have struggled from the get-go...and of course others have had huge beautiful success with the turbo cycle, and other's, like me, have had great success w/ just the classic.. At least I don't feel like it was me, per se.. some sort of weird anomaly, I guess
Starting to feel like my old self today, which is a huge relief.

Danille, every BODY is different. If it ain't broke, don't fix it...as they say. Stick with the Classic, 'til it's broke. Then tweak it..

The only thing I've had major luck with is WW.. Obviously, since I am here, it didn't work long term. I guess I'm tweaking it!

Dani, you are doing great with your weight loss though. Your weight continues to go down so it is all good. I love Jennifer Lawrence too -- so talented and like you said, a great role model for young girls. I can't wait to see Catching Fire.

Thank you, Gail It is all good, isn't it? I am further ahead mentally than anything, and that makes me feel good! JLaw--she's the shiz, I tell ya!

Good HC clean eating yesterday.. got all my water in too! I was productive all day long, got alot of cleaning and laundry done. Felt good!

I think the rain has finally cleared....3 days of straight rain, and now it'll look like it never ever rained... we're back into the 70's this week as well. About the only good thing about all this is I can get my car washed!

Morning, Dani!

I say just stick to what "feels good" to you, as far as which cycle you choose to follow. You've been making great progress overall!

I thought Catching Fire was good also...my sister & I have both read the books, so that's one disadvantage when you know how the movie's going to end. Lol.

Yeah, I ended up rolling with HC yesterday, which puts me on Classic.. it just felt right. I think this every other day thing is what has kept me going, feeling no deprivation of sorts... keeps me mentally sane which I'm sure in turn equals less stress

I puposely have not read the books for the very reason of movie watching. With the HP series it sometimes ruined the movies because the books were so good.

Agreed! Classic is what you are loving and it's loving you back.

You're right, sometimes you just need a "cheat". And as much as we expect ourselves to be perfect, every expert (Chris included) knows that they will happen and don't freak out about it! You did just what you should have. Enjoyed the treat, moved on, and continued on plan.

I totally failed on getting a gallon of liquid in on Saturday. It was just too cold to drink anything cold, and I couldn't get that much hot stuff in me! Oh well. I'll just keep doing my best.

I'm still laughing about the people camping at the store .... especially since all of these reports are out saying that there is nothing special about BF deals whatsoever...90% of it is the same as last year.. good grief, people need to get a life!

Carol--very unusual for me to want to go off plan like I did, but it is what it is.. it was good, that's for sure! LOL I just kept going and I'm sure CP would be very proud! I love that there really isn't a way to "mess up" on this program.

What are you doing up so early woman? No wonder you're sleepy!

Yes Black Friday...so over that. I'm sleeping in on Friday morning. We did it when the kids were younger and all the good kid stuff was marked way down, but really how many 50 inch TV's can you have?

What's the big plan for this weekend?

I had to be up to take DD to school... *yawn* I was up at 4:30....wiiiide awake Forced myself back to sleep until around 6:30...I should have just stayed up I think I'd probably feel better. Oh well...there's always tonight, right?

What kills me is these places get maybe "10" of something that's in those friggin ads...sometimes they don't even have it at all...(trust me, I know...) and also, let's talke *quality*..... not quite so much a bargain if it's some no-name-brand IMO..
I "may" actually be out at the mall for a bit EARLY Friday morning...sales too good to pass up on some clothes for DD17...that will probably be about it for Friday..
I'm alone all day that day, everyone is working! I think it'll be a lay-on-the-couch-watching-Hallmark channel-and-reading-my-book, kinda day.

No big plans...I may go out to shop some on Sat....everyone is working all weekend and DS will be back at school by Thursday night....so it's just lil ole me. I need to figure out what the heck I'm gonna get for DH for xmas because I have no clue as of right now...NONE.

Home watching Hallmark movies sounds devine. I have so many of them cluttering up my DVR right now, it's not even funny.
