I love your comment that you can "see" yourself at goal. I am a big believer in visualization and have been trying to set aside time to visualize my big life goals. I'm still struggling to make it a part of my routine every day, but I'll get there. I do believe your subconscious can start working on things if you give it the right information.

And nice new low, BTW!

Thanks, Carol It's been a tough week...I got 1 kid who'd have been so content to be home but can't, and the other so anxious to be out she was practically sprinting out the door One day she'll realize, just like DS did after about 6 months being away.

I haven't been able to allow myself to visualize success for a long time. It has always been very fleeting too... but I'm learning to just keep walking in faith, believing that I WILL get to goal no matter what, all the while pretending like I know what comes next! So far so good

Good food day. 1 gallon of water. 2 mile walk + 20 min. weights.
Rest day today. LC day.

We're thinking about moving.... our lease is up in March. Still will be local, but not sold on the idea of moving some place only to have to move again in a few years..this time out of state... Thinking......

Great motivational image - thanks!!

Moving, huh? I love moving. It's like a clean slate.. The only problem is I need to get rid of 1/2 the stuff in my house and I am too lazy to go through it all. That is supposed to be my project this year now that I closed my home businesses. We moved here 11 years ago and I didn't even unpack some of the boxes from that move! I'm thinking of opening an ebay store, or craigslist or something like that.. Maybe after I do my acctg work for taxes..

These are the words of a lady on her way to success!

I hope all works out with your DD! A lesson learned, if nothing else.

That is a very good point about moving if you plan to relocate in a few years. After moving in March I said I wouldn't do it again until my toddler moves out ~ I forgot what a pain all of that is!

Good luck on your next challenge!

Moving I'm not thrilled at the idea, but who knows... You're where I was a few years ago..only I LUGGED all my junk to every place we moved Finally got rid of a ton of stuff and so much easier now.. definitely do the online thing if you've got some great stuff to make some money on rather than donating or chucking it.

She'll figure it out. As much as I'd like to hold their hands for their entire lives, that ain't ever gonna happen Have to trust that she'll make wise choices and come to an understanding that "her reality" and what's really going on are two rather different things!
We moved so much over the years that I swore I was done when we moved into this place, until the kids were all in college.. I dunno...I would like to move some place that offers me some more amenities or to a house where I can make my own What I'd really like is to be some place that's a little more quiet..we live on a very busy street and there is not a whole lot of places to really walk and I love to walk outside.. We'll see. I may say screw it and stay put, or....I could say screw it and be packing next month!

To the woman running down the road......

Thank You to the woman who easily had about 60 lbs on me....out there running her @$$ off on a very busy street.

Thank you for being there at that moment as we went through the light.

Thank you for showing me that you're out there & you're working hard.

Thank you for proving that big girls CAN run. And run well.

Thank you for showing me that if you can do it, so can I.

Thank you for inspiring me.

Thank you for showing me that there can be a runner in me yet.

This is good! I flat out wouldn't walk out in my neighborhood when I was super-heavy, or even medium-heavy. Just too embarrassed, and isn't that sad? I am with you, when I see someone heavy out there workout out, walking as fast as they can, or even just walking, I admire them.

Aw, thanks girls! I saw this woman, who was much bigger than I am, running her heart out (and doing very well, I might add!) and this feeling just totally washed over me thinking about her.. I imagine her to be on a very similar journey as mine and I'm dying to know how much weight she's lost already, and how she got started with her fitness! ....yeah, my brain tends to wander when I people watch, always wondering what their lives are like, etc.

Had a great food day yesterday... LC day was right on calories and 1 gallon of water done by 3pm. Took a rest day from exercise because my right knee is bothering me..... it's something that's plagued me for years, and the doc has no clue what it is I'm thinking it's just my weight, but what do I know, right?

HC day today cannot come soon enough...I craved bananas all day yesterday... and apples. Go figure, eh? Always what we can't have when we want them. Trying a new protein shake recipe today...it has peanut butter in it

I put PB in my protein shake this morning...it was yummy! I also like adding a small amount of plain oats b/c it gives it an oatmeal cookie taste & adds texture.

Thank you, love! The exercise is a touchy thing...I hate the boing-boing effect that it creates on the scale. I am TRYING to ignore it...a work in progress for sure... I have to remind myself that the key is that I want to be FIT REGARDLESS OF WHAT THE SCALE SAYS. Being fit is actually probably going to require that I weigh alittle more somewhere down the line...but heck, if I look like I weigh 180 instead of 200...yeah I'll be excited!
Mentally it does a number and I'm working on it!

I'm not a fan of oatmeal per se... especially cooked mushy ugly brown lookin oatmeal Maybe hiding it in a shake will be tolerable.. I do have a recipe for it but I've avoided it like the plague because I'm not so sure I want to CHEW my shake

Yea, if you add too much, then the shake can have chewy parts...lol. I add just a small amount for the taste. It's really good with peanut butter to me.

Love it - Zig was one smart guy... let him RIP.

I love oatmeal, but being carb conscious, won't let myself have it very often. I'll have bread or potatoes from time to time, but for some reason when I have oatmeal I almost can picture my blood sugar levels rising out of control.

I agree, it doesn't matter what we weigh.. it's how healthy and fit we are!

Have a great day.

Oatmeal..... Mushy, squshy, blech! My entire family LOVES the stuff. Nope, not me.

Exercise.....love/hate for me. I love what it does for my body, but don't like doing it all that much. I've been looking into SuperSlow workouts using resistance bands. There's a place in Scottsdale that does these workouts, but it's too far from me. I wonder if you would like that? I used to go to a place in N. Scottsdale when I worked nearer there called "In and Out Workout". The trainer was Jon Basso. You know, the infamous guy who owns the "Heart Attack Grill" restaurants now. It was an AMAZING workout! I miss it.

Zig sure was! His son is followed in his footsteps!

See, I like oatmeal cookies but the idea of it mushy...not-so-much..
Yep, you're right! I'm trying to keep the focus on health & fitness

Hahaha Carol! Mushy and squishy... yeah, my DH loves the stuff..even grits... Sometimes I think he wonders what kind of upbringing I had because of some of the most basic things I don't like... I think mainly because we just didn't have it growing up ...and now, well good luck trying to get me to try certain things

I am really wanting to change my thought process over exercise.. I think perhaps what it really is is just ignorance & fear? I don't know entirely a whole lot so it's incredibly overwhelming to me. Also the idea of some of the things that I could potentially push my body to do is frightening But, it can be done, millions of people do it every day. Heck, if those 300+ people on those weight loss shows can actually jog miles their first week then why can't I? Well, I can, I just freak myself out that it literally paralyzes me, I think! About 6 years ago I had actually joined a gym and had a trainer and everything.... what I couldn't get together at the time was the food aspect... I was paying this guy to set up a meal plan for me, train me 3x a week...I was always at the gym, I loved it. But the food thing just escaped me, despite my prior success several years before at weight loss.. What I wouldn't give to have that guy in my corner now!
Interesting about the SuperSlow workouts..I will have to look into this!

See, I love grits too. LOL! Cheese grits are the best...I am a Southern girl at heart in some ways.

I agree about the thought of exercise being overwhelming -- that's the perfect word for how I feel sometimes. I keep telling myself I need to start using the weight machines at the Y (I did an orientation several months back), but I'm nervous about it b/c you have to change the weight settings, seats, etc. & I feel like I'll still look clueless or I'll take forever doing it & people will get irritated. The trainer entered in what numbers I should use, and I can print the sheet out, but I still worry about actually implementing it. I have major anxiety issues sometimes.

Oatmeal Grew up on it, now I hate it, probably because I can't have all the butter and sugar that I want, on it.

Exercise...I get the "scary' part. What if I hurt myself? I heft stuff at the restaurant like you wouldn't believe, I never even think about it...but going out to jog or lift heavy weights? Naw. I agree Jayce, changing the equipment 'parts' makes me feel like a dummy. I have never had the food/exercise combo in sync. Weird. Baby steps for me.

Ugh, yeah, so not a grits girl It's a cultural thing, I think.. just wasn't raised on stuff like that...
I'm overwhelmed completely when it comes to fitness.. I want to be at point Z already and forget about everything from point A I think for me fear is a big thing... I think I'm afraid at actually succeeding at it... the very idea that I could actually, someday, *gulp*... be an athlete... I need to put myself out there, jump in with both feet and truly trust it all... I'm not there yet, but I know where I need to go. Right now I pat myself on the back for the at-home-workouts I get done...that's huge in my world right now
I feel like a total moron when it comes to equipment at the gym Standing next to the little size zero's? Forget it!

Yeah, I think I could eat it if it was slathered with all kinds of goodness that I'm not allowed to eat DH can eat it pretty much straight if he has to He's weird like that, though!

I've only had the syncing of exercise and food one time... so frustrating not being able to find that place again.. I think my thought process is different this time though? See, this time I want more from my exercise. I truly want fitness as the forefront of my existence.. last time I considered my 1 hr a day as "enough"... Maybe I need to just quit thinking about things and just get to the place I had before and see where the chips fall... Maybe I'm expecting too much?

Definitely feeling the bloat this morning... AF is circling

Great HC day.. 1520 cals. 1+ gallon of water. 20 min. walk. My knee is still wonky...it's getting old already

Have a ton of stuff to get done today while everyone's outta the house... plus get a workout in. The time is flying already today!

Hey Pajama-Butt!

I heard the words "peanut butter" and I came running over here.... I took several weeks off and lived it up on food--and now I'm back, realizing that it wasn't all that fun. Giving JUDDD another try and hope to make it stick this time! Lots of catching up to do, but I'm SO glad to see you doing so well and happy with your plan!!

Enjoy your weekend!

The syncing up of both eating and exercise is really hard. Especially when you do what I'm sure we've all done time and time again, which is setting out to do it all from day 1. Not good. Too hard. Too much pressure.

I'm being pretty easy on myself exercise-wise. All I've been doing since New Years is hula hooping, and that's more enjoyable to me than it is working out. I do try to do it with some oomph, to be sure I'm really working those core and leg muscles. But it is not what I'd call strenuous at all.

I'm glad to hear you're walking. I really should be, with our beautiful weather right now, but I just can't get into it for some reason. Take care of that knee though. Getting older really does suck! Have a great HC day!
