Aw, I'm glad you're feeling better. Try to ignore the scale. Something's up with your body and you may be inflamed for some reason. Eyes straight ahead and keep on keeping on.

Sorry you had such a bad day!!! I think mentally, the closer we get to Christmas the worse I feel. I hope your back is better today, that can be miserable! Nothing a nice long lay on the beach wouldn't cure, I'll bet.

I hear you on the bounce...I'm ALL over the place...so much so that I don't even want to talk about it.....

Ignoring the scale as best I can... I could only laugh hysterically this morning when I saw the numbers... good freakin hell

I think I could get past the mental part, it's the physical part that is absolutely exhausting... to the point that I am SO tired that I literally feel drugged. It's crazy! This morning that feeling seems to be gone and my back feels much much better... last night was a long night though getting to sleep, ironically.. but when I finally did, boy I'm sure I snored like the 3 bears put together The beach sounds mighty nice about now---with a drink or ten with little umbrellas sticking out of them!

The bounce is dizzying to me. I'm done trying to figure it out cause it's just making me grumpy... it is what it is... I'm going to enjoy my reward day today and just deal as it comes... I KNOW I am eating right and doing everything I'm supposed to...my body will just have to figure it out. The stress of the holiday and the sleep thing I'm sure has everything to do with it... the entire time I have been carb cycling I have NOT had any issue like this before at all...so it's gotta be something related to this.. Where's Chris when I need a shoulder to cry on!

WOE: Chris Powell's Carb Cycling
Start Date: 9/16/13
PERSPECTIVE:

Chris says that the truest day to measure weight loss is Thursday's... or the morning before your reward day--for me, reward day is Friday, so Thursday it is!!

I went through and logged every single Thursday weigh-in since I began carb cycling.... amazing how much different the picture looks this way... I'm glad I did it because it's given me a major attitude adjustment and I KNOW I am doing awesome!

That is awesome! I wasn't sure about the constant weighing thing at first, but seeing the numbers over a long period of time really helps when we need a smidgen of motivation or reassurance. You are doing great!

...and you just reminded me that I have not put a single item in any of our stockings! Ut oh. I better scramble to at least get the baby's stocking stuffed.

Ok, so I was wrong...at least, I put words in Chris' mouth .....
He says, and I quote, "If you feel you must weigh multiple times a week, you will weigh less on the morning of a High Carb day that FOLLOWS a Low Carb day."

So, given that information, how I arrived at Thursday's being optimal weigh days is because MY week technically ends on Friday's because I made them Reward Days.....therefore Thursday is my best morning-after-a-Low-Carb-day-to-weigh-in... All the ladies I know doing this, follow Chris' plan as written--where Sunday is their reward day, so Saturday's are their Reward Days.. Yes, I always have to be different

.....but it's ok, Chris said it was!

Thank you, ladies!

Amazing what a little math can do, huh?

I do the daily weighing because it keeps me in the game... I have to own every day that I eat and this is a sure-fire way to do that... weighing weekly is a guaranteed way to where I start slip-sliding and justifying little bites or pieces of stuff...because, after all, weigh day isn't for another 4 days, or whatever... too easy to start eating and then rush to get it off before the day on the scale. Doing daily weighing forces me to stay on track every day that I KNOW I have to log a number!

Yes, mama bear slept a full night without tossing & turning, waking up a zillion times, for the first time in months! And yanno what, I think DS may have slept like a rock himself! He ate dinner like a fiend, went to the mall real quick-like with DD19, came home and promptly fell asleep on the couch. So good to have him home for a little while!

Pretty good food day yesterday. I don't know my calories--For whatever reason I didn't log anything! Ooopsie! I know that I did fine though, I eat so similarly from day-to-day I've got it down... 1 gallon of water in!

Major chaos the next few days! Finally finishes the Christmas shopping, but now the marathon wrapping commences....along with all the running of the kiddos to & from work, DH has a tattoo sitting on Tues. for pretty much the entire afternoon....and I have yet to get to the grocery for food for the next few days.. Eeek!

HC day--ready for some fruit and some potatoes..

TOM finally started...all the wonkiness of last month threw everything way off.

That there is some good advice, Judy!

I love that DS conked out on the couch. There's something about being home and safe so you can really relax...You must be so happy to have the whole crew at home. I know how that feels, it's heaven sent.

I have wrapping to do as well, while I fend off the feeling that I didn't get enough for everyone. KWIM?

It's nice to have a routine with your foods so you know when you're doing okay! Up day here for me, whew, do I need it!

Love and hugs to you Danielle!!! Merry Christmas!!

It's been lovely having them all home... the 2 girls have had to work some so it's been quiet...but he's enjoying just lounging and watching tv and playing his guitar.. trying to soak it in, he'll be gone again before I know it

I ALWAYS have that feeling of not getting enough....much to my husband's dismay It's an awful feeling! I am still contemplating it this morning even though I have been over & over my lists!

Much love to you and your family! Merry Christmas!

Busy busy busy.....

Food was "ok"...... nothing majorly off track, but I did miss a couple meals yesterday... I know this affects my "burn" so the scale isn't moving... up or down...so I guess this is good.

Busy with last minute groceries and work for the kiddos.... DH works all day today Tomorrow he's got a tattoo... I am envisioning a sea of wrapping paper, bows, and lots of coffee in my future tomorrow

Merry Christmas, my peeps!

Another busy day around here---last minute shopping and absolutely dreading the grocery this morning...

Started wrapping last night, but today is going to be an all day marathon.... ugh, why did I do this to myself! DH goes in for his tattoo today and the kids are working...hopefully a little peace & quiet so I can wrap in peace..

Enjoying my cuppa before I gotta rev up the taxi

Weather will be in the 70's all week......with lotsa bright bright sun.... Hhmmmmm.

Checking in real quick. Heading out for some shopping with DD. Christmas was amazing in all ways.....so lovely having all my kids home has been the best.

Diet wise I've been off plan and today will probably be another. The scale is reminding me of it too LOL. All in good time, right?

I hear ya, girl...my tummy has been complaining to me the past coupla days. Up a bit, but we know it's just nasty bloat & will come off accordingly. So glad you had a nice Christmas!

I know you're so glad you don't work at Kohl's anymore!

Well I thought I'd posted a response to you J today... guess it didn't post That's what I get for trying to do it on my iPhone

What I had said was, my tummy has been letting me know in no uncertain terms that it isn't too happy with the combination of food I've been eating... it's been months since I've really mixed things up aside from reward days.. it will be heaven to get back to normal. I find that it's kinda tricky lately with DS home...even DD19 has been home more than normal so meal time is "not so simple" at the moment.. but I shall persevere and conquer

The shopping with DD17 was fun.. I found a few things...I got a P!nk calendar and some new slippers....I ruined my others ....have I told you guys that every year now, for the last 4 or 5 years I have ruined a pair of slippers on every Thanksgiving or Christmas Total random flukey things too!
DD bought up a storm of clothes---ohhhh to be young again

Today was very wonky with food....on the go the entire day and I came home and crashed... then DD17 got called into work this evening, spur of the moment...so on the go some more..
For now, I am enjoying my kiddos and living in the moment and not stressing so much.

Excited to get back to it...curious to see how 2014 will roll out. I am ready to be a success story....a Chris Powell success story

Monica~ Happy New Year! Have an amazing cruise!
---------------

Back on track today. I need to. For my sanity.
Astounding how quickly the body starts to rebel when the food is less than stellar and the water doesn't get all consumed. Blech, I feel awful! Why do we do this to ourselves? Granted, I haven't eaten anything that wasn't "worth it".... I've started to eat stuff that was only subpar in taste to me and I either gave it to someone else or threw it out... but still....I've eaten plenty the last couple days to warrant the crappy feeling I've got going on. I am bloated like crazy, cause, not to be left out, TOM had to join the party a coupe days ago

Working on getting rid of the gain...temporary as it is, it still irks the heck out of me!

Hey Dani.. love the last image.. Now, if only the author could tell us exactly HOW to let go the part of us that doesn't believe it!

I am glad you had a wonderful Christmas and have been able to enjoy all your kids! The bloat is only temporary and I betcha you'll lose it all with a few "good" days.

I also have been way off plan and haven't fasted in 10 days (until today).. Yes, talk about bloated and icky!! Hopefully by next week at this time I'll be feeling better - I'll have had 3 fasts by then and I'm REALLY going to try to keep my normal day calories where they should be.

Keep enjoying the holiday season!!
