Mmmmmmm, that sounds yum!!!

Yanno, I was thinking about this.......

you know when you're priorities and your thought process has changed when the one thing you're hoping will be under the Christmas tree this year will be boxes of your most favorite Quest bar flavors.

No joke.

I think that's one thing I am the most excited about getting. Seriously. I can go any ole time and grab a bunch (which I do every week btw) but something about getting BOXES of them....makes my little heart go pitter-pat!

I can totally see wanting a big box of Quest bars under the tree! I haven't had one yet, but have been looking. My Fry's doesn't have them, and none at Sprouts the other day. Where do you get them?

I used to be that way about Atkins bars, but they've changed them so much since then. So much smaller, and they make me crave more - never used to do that!

You really are making such great progress D! I am so impressed with your dedication, and I know you're going to be rewarded real soon with some nice losses. Just remember, whatever this stage of the program is doing, is enabling your body to release more weight in the upcoming stages. Trust trust trust trust....etc.

GNC & Vitamin Shoppe is where I get mine. You can also order them straight from their site for about the same price + shipping. I prefer VS, I've made friends with the manager there--he helped me with my initial purchase of some protein powder and super knowledgeable about the things in his store.

I should add....they're not for everyone. DD17 couldn't stand a couple that I thought were good.. There are some with and without sugar alcohols..
To me: they do not taste protein-y at all...the ones with chocolate in them are so good IMO It's a YMMV typa deal but they pack a punch for protein with 20-22g per bar depending on which you choose.

How do the Quest bars fit into the plan? Do you have them anytime as a protein or just a reward day?

Lexi, funnily those are the very 2 my DD hated. I love the cinnamon one warmed in the micro alittle so it gets kinda gooey.

Sherrie, I used to just stick to eating them on HC days but then implemented them on LC days when I was short on time or on the go...they haven't seemed to affect much... I only have 1 or 2 a week. I asked around to see who else used them for cycling and turns out a lot of people do. It's a YMMV thing... a lot of people think they taste awful.... to me it's a lot better than a shake and I get to actually chew my food = saiety (sp?) IMO, and it's good protein.

Thoroughly enjoyed my reward day.. sad to say, I probably earned the "gain" I received this morning

Now the chore will be to get it off within a decent time frame.

Chugging the water this morning. I have never been so grateful for a LC day!!!!! I am relieved to be done with another slingshot week--it was quite stressful.

Not a clue what's on the agenda today... probably should do some cleaning...but who wants to do that!? OH don't worry, I'm sure I'll come up with something more entertaining
I really wanna go to the movies, we haven't been in weeks!

Hey dani! Although you are staying within the same window you have done some very impressive work.

Are you tracking inches lost? How's your clothes fitting? I bet you've been dropping inches and soon the lbs will be dropping too again.

You're awesome results is another reason I became motivated to try out this woe. You have a spectacular support team here and we are all rooting for you!

I haven't measured a thing...I know... BAD. I do know that my clothes are getting plenty baggy...I have teenage daughters to remind me of that

Well, of course your clothes are getting baggy! Get thee to the thrift shop (or better yet, the mall) pronto! You'll feel better, get more positive comments, and get to enjoy your newly emerging shape in better fitting clothes. Take it from one who didn't do that and continued to feel frumpy and fatter than I needed to for a good long time.

Haha! Carol, you're so right! I have gotten a couple tops but that's about it. There are quite a few that I don't dare wear anymore because they're V-necks, and well, let's just say I'm "forbidden" to wear them

I forgot to tell you guys...

So I think I've talked about this pair of jeans I've had sitting in my closet with tags on them for 3 years...I got them for FREE when I worked at Lane Bryant for this promo thingy we were doing.. I had gotten them in a size smaller then what I'd been wearing..can't for the life of me figure out why? Probably because I'd had the "intention" of losing weight for so long!
There was a time about 2 years ago where I couldn't even get them past my knees And last December I tried them on before we were heading to Vegas, and while they went on I barely got them zipped and they were oh, so snug I tried 'em on yesterday and they FIT! Like, as in, I can zip-them-button-them-sit-down-in-them-and-still-breathe-and-not-look-like-an-idiot, kinda fit. They're actually somewhat loose in the seat/thighs which is a total shock to me... when I showed DH he says, SEEEE!!! I've been telling you you've been shrinking! Silly man.

Super clean food day + 1 gallon of water. I was so so so thankful for a LC day! Love me some eggs

Lots to do today. Christmas shopping bonanza will commence at some point early this morning. Not thrilled about having to deal w/ the crowds but that's what we get for waiting til the last minute.

Weather here is beautiful---70's..

Awesome that those jeans fit and are now in the rotation! Wear 'em and enjoy 'em, because they'll soon be too baggy!

The days are flying! Yesterday was a total blue. Clean eating but probably too much sodium...eating out is so hard, sometimes!!!! I barely eeked out my 1 gallon of water because we were gone all day long.. glad I did it!

Feeling poofy today... chugging more water this morning.. I'm also really sniffly & sneezy...ugh it's miserable. No rest for the weary...I've gotta bang out the last of my list...and then tomorrow I gotta go finish DH...haven't been able to work on his xmas stuff the last 2 days because he's been home!

Glorious weather again today!

Yesterday my DD17 stops me in the kitchen and says, "mom, you are looking so good! You can totally tell you're losing weight, especially around your middle." What a doll

Noooo kidding, huh?

Plans involve everything Christmas. DH has been off yesterday & today so we're runnin around like a couple of chickens Thank goodness he's here to pick up the slack!

He was so cute at the mall yesterday...we were there for the kids ( so I thought?) and he kept disappearing and texting me and saying, I'll meet you at X in like 20 min.. etc.. So funny!! Then of course we get home and both girls are teasing me, oooooooooo mom, you're Xmas is gonna be EPIC...better than ours! WHAT? Really? Kinda exciting!

That is such an awesome feeling!!! I've learned to appreciate it much more than whatever the scale says. I've also noticed that even when the scale isn't moving, my clothes are getting looser and looser, so the scale has lost some cred with me. Keep up the good work!!
