B~1 bob evans sausage patty, topped w/ 1/2 american deluxe cheese slice and one egg, all fried in butter
L~1 halloween cheeseburger, 5 sugar free bread and butter pickles, low sugar ketchup and mustard
D~1 halloween cheeseburger, 1 tbsp lc bbq sauce

S~pumpkin seeds, 2 russell stover sf candies, 3 doritos, linda sue's magic peanut butter pudding

I normally don't eat anything high carb anymore, but my son got a bag of doritos during trick or treating. He stopped home, had a few and said give the rest to Andrew. While they were sitting there, I could smell them. So, I took 3 out and handed the bag to Andrew (little mini bag). I think this is ok. Eating 3, and being okay with it, instead of eating a family size bag and still wanting more!

So now all of this candy is in my house. I had to check it and go over it. Nothing else really called out to me. Pretty sure I am gonna be okay with Halloween!!

After looking over those halloween pics from today, I realized I really do hate my knees. That will make me so happy when they aren't so fat. Maybe I should start measuring my knees too!!

Hope everybody else had a good time tonight. I had some super cutie pie trick or treaters. And, then some scary ones too! Ended up giving each kid about 5 pieces because I bought so much. The rain did not stop tonight, so no bonfire Not a ton of kids out, but enough. My pumpkins are still lit up out there. Christian is now showered, sugared up and lying in his bed reading. Andrew is getting ready to take his girlfriend home. He will probably hit the sack as soon as he gets home. Football practice in the rain hit him hard today. Today was his final high school football practice. Tomorrow is the final game. And, then, it's over...

For the first time last night, I used coconut oil on my skin and hair. I used it to remove all of my makeup. Now, my skin has been dry, and even flaking a little near my hairline. After using the coconut oil, it is gone this morning. Also, before I jumped into the shower, I ran my coconutty hands through my hair. My hair is so freaking soft this morning!! And, smooth I see everyone on here vouching for using it on hair and skin, but I never tried it until last night. I will definitely be doing it again!

Breakfast this morning is consisting of a piece of colby jack cheese and a international coffee, suisse mocha (sf and decaf of course) w/ a little bit of davinci vanilla in it. I am really not ready to be awake yet, so thinking I am going to lay back down in a few minutes. It is my day off after all. I just thought that once I took my meds regularly that I would not need as much sleep. Feel like I have been sleeping a TON lately. Who knows. I have my dr. appt. on Nov. 14th. Gonna do the new tests for the breast examination and have my blood work rechecked. A little nervous about the breast tests.

You looked good in costume and so did your son. Hope you had a wonderful evening. I have never tried the coconut oil. I use ACV for my hair and olive oil mixed with some jojoba for lotion.

I will continue to pray for you on your tests. Try not to worry to much, stress really does cause harm to your body, mind and spirit.

Tonight was Andrew's senior night and also the last football game of the season. We went to Texas Roadhouse afterwards. I did have a piece of bread. Then, I ordered salmon, house salad w/out croutons and w/ranch, mixed veggies. I ate half the salad, and only half the broccoli with the mixed veggies. We had 19 people with us! It was so much fun. Andrew's team won the game, and he was the quarterback! It was an exciting night.

Best friends

Right after they won the game, he went to the wall and closed his eyes and just absorbed it all in.

So, today wasn't so good on eating I mean, I did OKAY....but I think I went over my 20 carbs definitely. First off, woke up LATE. Probably from being out so late last night celebrating. I was rushing around, and hoping I would be on time. I had a piece of cheese and threw some pumpkin seeds in a baggie. I was going to see Sweeney Todd at the theater today with some old friends! But, when I got in the car, they had all went to Arbys to grab a quick bite before the show. They got me a turkey and swiss wrap. (Stating they knew I was eating healthier, and got me something on the healthier side). So, I did eat it. I only ate half of the "wrap" but all of the middle.

After Sweeney Todd, I treated at Macaroni Grill. I work there after all and get a fabulous discount. I ordered the Mediteranean Sea Bass(pan sauteed and not breaded). It is served with a fresh salad of arugula, tomato and cannellini beans. I ate half mostly pushing around the beans. BUT...we also had appetizers. Bruschetta, peppadew peppers stuffed with goat cheese and oven brick olives. I ate half of one bruschetta. 2 peppers. A few olives. And, a small piece of bread. And, a glass of chianti wine.

So, that means Halloween I had 3 doritos. Yesterday, I had a piece of bread at Texas Roadhouse, and then today I ate more carbs than normal too. Starting tomorrow I will be right back on track. The great thing is that it didn't make me want more. I just had it and that was that.

Lisa, I think you are fine and will continue to lose. Do you use the Keto sticks to test if you are still in ketosis? I find that really helps me. By the way, your son is so handsome and seems like such a good kid. And your Halloween costume was fabulous!

I did not use a ketostick this morning. I was afraid to. I will check it tomorrow morning.

I made 2 sausage patties fried in butter topped with swiss cheese this morning. Did poached eggs on top, but couldn't finish it. I am working a double today. I will probably get a little break in the middle, and think I will leave work to get lunch. That way I will definitely eat something lc. I'm a little upset with myself that I was doing so good and let myself go this weekend. Really no reason to. I didn't feel pressured or that I was missing out, I just did it. BUT...a nibble here and a nibble there adds up. Plus wine. ha ha. Red wine. AND...I don't think I mentioned this, but I had two cocktails at Texas Roadhouse as well. Absolute and soda water with a lemon and lime twist. Two of them. I don't even normally drink. But, all of that is in the past. Time to move on.

ha ha, so yesterday, while at work, a bunch of coworkers came up to me and said they could not believe my costume for Halloween! Said they didn't even recognize me. That is awesome!!!!

Today I am working another double. I start at 11:15 and won't be home until around 11 tonight. Right now I am making cream cheese clouds AND pumpkin bake lol. I added lemon flavoring and pecans to the clouds. Topped them with just a pinch of lemon zest. OMG...just tasting the mixture on the spoon and I am in heaven!!!!

I will probably wait and have a few of those bad boys for my breakfast!! Hope everyone has an amazing day today

It's tough to keep to low carb when you're out celebrating with friends, but you did really well, considering! You're back on track now and that is the most important thing!

After two days of living at the restaurant, I am finally off. My schedule is changing now that football season is over. I requested today off because it is voting day! The kids are off school and I wanted to spend the day with them

Yesterday~
B~2 clouds, 1/2 oz. roasted chicken
L~1/4 roasted white chicken w/skin, 1/2 portion of creamed spinach (all from Boston Market)
S~2 clouds
D~turkey and swiss wrapped in lc tortilla w/ dijonaise (the new tortillas I bought from netrition...tasted so delicious!!!)

So...I used the new Heartland Sweetener that I bought from Netrition to make the clouds. I have to say, it tastes just like I used sugar. I cannot tell what so ever.

I did use a ketostick this morning, and I am safe~ don't know if I fell out or not from the weekend. I literally have felt like I lived at the restaurant the past two days, so I was able to not focus on it. The positive thing is that even though I was working my tail end off, I was able to eat properly

I am going to make a proper sit down dinner tonight for me and the boys. I have re written several of my recipes to make them low carb. Tonight I am going to make Chicken with Scallion Lime Sauce. Maybe try cauliflower rice. I have yet to make that.

Chicken W/Scallion Lime Sauce

1/2 c chicken stock
3 tbsp olive oil
4 boneless chicken breasts
1 tsp thyme
zest/juice of 2 limes
3 garlic cloves, chopped
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
1 tsp coriander
3 scallions
1/4 c parsley
2 tbsp butter

Heat skillet over high heat. Combine 2 tbsp oil, thyme, zest, salt and pepper in a shallow dish. Coat chicken in mixture. Cook 5-6 minutes per side. Transfer chicken to a plate to keep warm. Heat 1 tbsp of oil in same pan, add garlic, red pepper flakes and coriander. Cook, stirring constantly for about 1 minute. Add scallions and cook 1 more minute. Add lime juice and chicken stock~cook 2 minutes. Turn heat off. Add parsley and butter, stirring until melted. Serve over top of chicken.

I will let you know how it turns out. This is the first of my own personal recipes that I have rewritten. It is a simple dish, and doesn't take very long to prepare. I hope it turns out yummy!!!!

So, I was babysitting my 4 year old and 10 month old nieces tonight, and they even ate the chicken!! Loved it! I didn't make the cauli-rice...instead asparagus was on sale 1.99 a lb, so I made roasted asparagus instead.

B~piece of colby cheese
L~7 pieces of baked bacon topped w/glaze made of heartland br. sugar, cayenne pepper and water
S~2 clouds
D~lime scallion chicken, roasted asparagus w/ parmesan cheese
S~sf raspberry jello w/redi whip

Glad you're doing good in Ketosis & all... where do you get those sticks? Have to order them? or are they available somewhere locally?
Glad your dinner turned out good & the babies loved it.

Those sticks are sold in pharmacies. They are used mainly for diabetics to measure ketones, but also for low carbers. Look in the diabetic section, or ask the pharmacist.

Lisa, that chicken dish sounds amazing -- I am going to make that. Thanks for sharing the recipe. Debby, you can also buy the keto sticks online at Netrition if your pharmacy does not carry them.

Soo...now that the boys are at school, I SHOULD be washing the dishes, getting dressed for the day, running errands. What I AM doing is laying back down for an hour. I really want a little extra sleep!! Didn't help that I was up until 1:30 a.m. watching netflix. My body time clock is all off. So, back to the warm, cozy bed it is, atleast for a little while

Also noticed that all of my tank tops are a little bit too big now. And, so is my bra Gonna need to get some new ones soon!

Discovering that our clothes are now too big is the most wonderful discovery of all...and an exciting and motivating way to begin the new day. Congrats, Geeny [Lisa] and keep up the good work. You continue to inspire all of us.
