Yes Once again, it was slow tonight, so I am home a little early. And, in true Lisa fashion, I am not making what I planned on earlier. I am making crackslaw instead! Yum!! I haven't had it in a long time, and I am excited to eat some tonight

Menu for this week. I still have plenty of sausage balls left, so those will go throughout the week. Maybe a few mock danish for breakfast as well. Lunch will be leftovers. I still have some crackslaw left in there Monday and Tuesday nights I close the restaurant, so I usually make the kids something I wouldn't eat myself. Some sort of casserole. Tomorrow night it is creamed chicken and biscuits. Tuesday will be cheesy chicken, broccoli and rice. On those nights, I usually just whip something up last minute. I have learned to keep butter, cream cheese, several meats, whipping cream on hand. It always helps.

That's cool... I haven't ever seriously looked at their stuff. Should check out what the shipping would be to Canada.

The shipping rate was 4.95. You can choose faster delivery, but that was for it to be delivered in two days by UPS. It might be different for Canada, but still so cheap. AND...most importantly, you can read ratings on products. That is what helped me choose which ones would be best for me to try.

I guess I am having an off day. I am not eating very much Had a boiled egg turned into deviled eggs for breakfast. Made a big chef salad w/homemade thousand island dressing, and barely put a dent in it~I hope I get hungrier for dinner. I hate when I don't eat much. I feel like it hurts my body in some way.

Oh, my goodness...I just saw the portrait you posted on the 21st. You are beautiful, simply beautiful. I'm blown away by your loveliness, as I am by your reports of the delicious sounding meals you make. I was so like you in terms of cooking when I was younger; I really loved doing
it and delighted in trying out new recipes and pleasing my family. Older now, and given to simplifying my life on many levels, I tend to stick to basics but have really enjoyed reading about your culinary adventures.

Thank you so much Lola for the compliment

Work was slow monroe again. I can't wait for the holiday season to kick in. It stays busy for us all the way through until summertime then. I can't stand being so bored at work. I love moving around!!

Awe Laura. I would not like that. I like the little ones coming around. It makes the night special for me We get a ton of trick or treaters!! I like decorating the house up and getting a bonfire going. Sitting out there and watching the kiddos go by. Christian is old enough to go out with a group of his friends now on his own. Andrew will be passing out candy with me (or watching football).

Although, at other times being out in the country wouldn't be so bad

Yeah, when the kids were small it was lots of fun. After we built this house, we went into town ...about 2 miles....and they still went and hung out with friends and such. We live on a little road with only 3 houses all the way down it. There is a circle down at the end with maybe 20 houses down there.

I found a farm in the city - that worked for me 5 houses on our road all with at least two acres (county rule). We have two acres with goat, chickens, rabbits, etc. and we are in city limits. Just two mile to the grocery store or 4 miles to wallyworld. But yes the downfall is no one DD age. So she goes trick or treating at GMs where this is over 200 kids each year going house to house.

So...one minute I'm not hungry at all, the next I am ravenous!!! I closed the restaurant last night, and when I got home, at an entire Porterhouse steak! Medium rare and delicious. That was one big steak! Woke up this morning having hunger pangs if you can believe it. So, I just fried up 2 sausage patties, put a little american cheese on top, then topped them with 2 over easy eggs.

My eldest, Andrew dated this girl for almost 4 years. They started dating when they were 12. (so young) It was more like sister/brother relationship for a long time because they were so young. Well, he broke up with her almost a year ago, and we are still feeling the repurcussions. She has egged our house when he asked another girl to Prom last year. She egged my car when he took his current girlfriend to homecoming this year. AND yesterday, the cheerleaders came to decorate our door for Andrew. This friday is his last game. I came home from work last night, and the sign they made for him was off of our door and in the GARBAGE can!! I was so mad. This has got to stop. It is getting crazy. Anyone ever deal with psycho teenagers???

Today is an early day for me. Only working lunch. And for the first time in WEEKS...not training anyone new this morning

Yesterday's food~
B~leftover crackslaw, pepperjack string cheese
L~Fajita meat mixed with salsa, sour cream and jalapenos
D~Porterhouse w/ 1 tbsp A1
S~1 sugar free Russell Stover Caramel and Crispies candy (ate it at work and it didn't upset my tummy~probably cuz I only ate one!!)

Wow...that is unacceptable! Good luck with getting this behavior to stop!

I know what you mean about not being hungry one day and being ravenous the next. The day I was "not hungry" last week immediately preceded a day in which I ate "ALL THE THINGS."

She sounds like she needs help ! Did you let her parents know all these things are happening ? Or is she 18. You might need to let PD handle it. Sorry this is happening .... stalking behavior ;/

Oh, I so agree with Shelby'sNana when she suggests contacting the girl's parents. Great idea and I think the kinder way to proceed [rather than contacting authorities first].

Your steak sounds delicious to me too!

She is 17, and her mom (no dad) is a whacko herself. The daughter is the sane one. It was hard when he dated her because of the girl's mom. She would call me on any given night (school night or not) and ask if her daughter could spend the night because she had a date!! I'm like...umm...no but I will talk to some friends and see if she can stay there. The mom was like okay, just let me know! It was ridiculous. The girl seemed like a sweetheart until they broke up. I never saw this side of her until then.

On a lighter side, while at Walmart last night, I found these Hormel slow simmered meats by the deli. OMG...I bought a slow simmered Pork Roast au jus w/1 carb. The package has three servings. AND...I bought a slow simmered turkey roast in seasoned broth for 0 carbs!!! I am making the pork roast with dreamfields elbow pasta for lunch. It smells so good right now, just waiting for the pasta to finish up!

OMG...this is so freaking good. I did have to add salt and pepper to it, but wow!! It cost $4.98 for the hormel and it will make three meals for me each I am in heaven!

Your pot roast sounds great. I think you need to contact the authorities about the crazy ex-girlfriend. Things like this start out benign (egging the house, destroying property) but can snowball into something ugly (bodily harm). I know it sounds like I've seen too many Lifetime TV movies (umm I have) but you should report her.

If you report her, you may actually help her. I think Social Services needs to get her a therapist ASAP. The poor kid is so damaged from neglect. That is why she is having a breakdown over losing Andrew -- it is like she is getting rejected from her parents all over again. So she is deeply traumatized and damaged -- and needs professional help.

I did call the principal at the school today. I told them about what has been happening. The principal and I get along pretty well. Andrew is a very good athlete and student, and often represents the school. I told her that I don't know if Andrew has egged the situation on, but it is out of hand now. She said that she will contact her mother and that the school psychologist will talk to her in person. Everyone already knows how Katie's mom is. I hope it helps end this.

Laura You are so funny

I did make that mushroom gravy that I posted a while ago last night. I have to say, the gravy was delicious. BUT...it did not look anything like the picture. I had a feeling it might not. I mean the picture was a translucent brown...and yet it said to add a cup of cream...BUT...prior to adding the cream, the picture looked accurate. So...I think you could do that gravy either way. With or without the cream.

Yesterday I also had a coffee with 2 splenda and 1 tbsp hwc. and, a cheese stick. Tomorrow is my weigh/measure day again. EVeryday it is getting easier to resist temptation. It's like once I got through the first two weeks, it has been smooth sailing!

Tonight is Halloween. I went with the witch costume~I wanted to do Mad Hatter, but it was too much stuff to buy at the last minute. I have a witch hat and dress from last year. I will see if my son will take a pic so I can post it. Gonna be scary It is so warm outside, but alas, is supposed to rain on and off all day long. I hope it cuts out before the kiddos go out. I planned on making a bonfire tonight!!
