I love how your family and friends support you -- that is awesome. And so glad that your doctor was so happy about your amazing weight loss -- go you! Perhaps the mild anti-depressant will work, like everyone else said? And if not, you can stop taking it and look at the all natural remedies?

In the meantime, have a GREAT time at your son's birthday! You should be so proud -- you have raised two wonderful boys all by yourself. And your sons clearly adore you.

Thank you everybody! I have the apple pie in the oven baking now, and baked the cherry pie last night. The house smells so good I have to go in to train a new Manager this morning, so it will be a tight day. Have to finish cleaning up, go to work, get back home hopefully by 2:30, prep food, buy a present (yes, I have not bought the present yet~money has just been so tight lately!!), fire up the grill and then relax

I am that parent that wakes her son up at 5:59 a.m. every year to wish him a happy birthday And, Christian got lucky! His is at 2:22 p.m. So he doesn't get an early rise and shine, but yet a nice surprise during the school day. I probably won't be back on here today as to how crazy it is going to be. Everybody enjoy your day!!

P.s. This morning I am also picking up the new prescription. Wish me luck

Gosh, you are a cooking machine! Glad to see your doctor appointment was ok. I love that he supports your WOE as well, some doctors do not.

Enjoy this special day!

What a great night A TON of people came over. Much more than expected!! Good side...it was nice to see everybody and have all the kids running around and having a good time. Bad side...I felt like I didn't have enough food!! 24 burgers and 30 chicken legs, a huge pan of mac n cheese, big veggie tray, deviled eggs, buffalo chicken dip, chips, sodas, corn on the cob, watermelon, two pies...every single thing was eaten. No leftovers at all. Bad side...I didn't eat just to make sure there was enough for the guests. Good side...I ate nothing bad...at all. I had a few green peppers and celery sticks dipped in buffalo chicken dip. That was it. ha ha. I cannot believe that I survived a birthday party with my family...and didn't cheat. My son high fived me after all the guests left and I told him I didn't eat anything at all that I wasn't supposed to!

Today was the first day I took the Celexa. I go back to my doctor in a month, and he will observe me and recheck my bloodwork. As for tomorrow, I have to have a mammogram done I hate them. I had a cancer scare last year and now every year have to have one done. I feel like they are gonna rip my breast right off of me!!!!

Anyways good night ladies I am off work the next two days, so I am sure I will be posting like crazy lol.

I just realized today that I am eating less now than I was when I first started lcing. Is that normal? Does that come with eating more fat? I don't count calories or anything, but I have noticed that I am not finishing my meals now. I just am full!

To be honest Debby...I have been so busy with the birthday and doctors and stuff this week, I haven't even weighed myself! Ha ha, I will weigh again tomorrow morning, and hopefully the scale is still moving downward I did use a ketostick this time, and it was the darkest purple I have ever seen. Does that mean I am not drinking enough water? I did have 2 Fresca sodas yesterday. They were zero carbs, but normally I don't drink soda at all.

Good for you! I have to weigh. It sounds like you're doing fine. I'm not familiar with those sticks.... is purple good? Did you drink 8 glasses of water? That's usually good.
Those atkins bars are yummy! Haven't had one for years, but I remember how good they tasted.

ketosticks measure whether or not you are in ketosis. Any pink or purple means that you are. A long time ago, I thought the darker the color, the more in ketosis you were. Then, I was corrected, and told the darker the color, the more water you need to drink. NO matter what the color is, if it is atleast pink, you are in ketosis. No different levels really of it lol.

I ended up having to buy a box of the Atkins bars because they don't sell them individually. I will keep them for emergencies. But, yeah, it was pretty delicious

I am very proud that I have not binged in quite a while now. My last binge was on Sept. 29th, and that was the day I decided to pay attention to it. For a while there, I was good for about 2-3 days, then whammy I would binge on something...as the days pass, it is getting easier to avoid things that I really don't need. And, I have been tested. I have baked. I have had a birthday in the house. I do team dinners where I take in all of the desserts. I go to football games where I could NEVER pass by the popcorn before. Tomorrow night I am making some of those yummy nuts that Gail mentioned to me to take to the game.

Lisa, yes, you are in deep ketosis! Yay! Do make sure to drink a whole bunch of water though -- you don't want those sticks to stay super purple because that does signal dehydration. This is great! You are doing really, really well!

196.6...Didn't really lose anything over the past few days, but very happy that the scale has stayed consistent. I am confident that I am doing this right, so just going to keep pushing. It has been over a week since I last measured, so will do that today

This morning I am making a Linda Sue recipe for breakfast.

MOCK DANISH - Linda's Low Carb Menus & Recipes

I was reading some of her early menus from induction, and this was her go to breakfast. I want to try it with a little coffee! I will let you know what I think of it.

On September 13, 2013, I weighed 216 lbs.
My neck was 14".
My upper arm 14 1/2".
My wrist 6".
My bust 43 1/2".
My rib cage underneath my bust 38".
My waist 39".
My stomach 43".
My hips 47 1/2".
My upper thigh 25".
My ankle 9 1/2".

Today....
My neck is 13 1/2".
My upper arm is 14".
My wrist...6".
My bust is 43".
My rib cage under my bust is 36".
My waist is 38".
My stomach is 42 1/2".
My hips are 46 1/2".
My upper thigh is 25".
My ankle is 9 1/2".

That's a total of 6" Yeah buddy. I'm shrinking!!!

The danish was okay. I would make it again. It didn't really taste like danish, but definitely a treat! I decided to have it with diet hot cocoa instead of coffee. A little more carbs...but definitely worth it

Mock danish~4 carbs
Diet cocoa~4 carbs

Not sure what the rest of the day holds yet on food. It's my day off, and I plan on doing lots of laundry PLUS>..I hit twenty pounds and 6 inches today!! So, I am calling up the local beauty school and going to get my hair done yay me!!!!

COngrats!

Even if your not losing weight right now, you're staying stable AND losing inches. So Good Job! I haven't done my measurements yet, will do today. They are supposed to be more accurate than the scale really.

I went to Hometown Buffet with my son today for lunch and I was surprised that there were so many low carb options. But, alas the food was VERY bland. I am full, but it definitely wasn't satisfying. My son said it was because there were so many old people there, that is why they make the food bland !!

Mushroom and mustard sauce **a Misty original**

1lb sliced mushrooms
1/2 small yellow onion finely diced
2 tbsp butter
2 tbsps Chicken Broth
2-3 tbsp stone ground mustard *dijion or spicy brown would probably work*
1 cup heavy cream
salt and pepper

After cooking your protein, remove from pain and add butter. Sautee mushrooms and onions until softened and browned. Remove from pan and deglaze with chicken broth *you could probably use wine..I hate the taste of it so I don't cook with it* Add mustard and whisk until combined. Stir in heavy cream and bring to a small simmer. Add salt and pepper to taste. Add mushroom and onion mixture. Add in your protein and coat both sides.

Mashed Cauliflower **I know that there are many recipes floating around, but this is what I came up for me!**

1 16 oz bag frozen cauliflower or 1 large head core removed and cut into small pieces
2-3 cups of Chicken Broth-enough to cover the top of the cauliflower about 1 inch
salt and pepper
2-4 oz of cream cheese
1 tbsp butter

Combine first 3 ingredients into a pot. Bring to boil and cover. Cook until tender..around 15 minutes. When tender, drain and add to a food processor. Add butter and 2 ounces of cream cheese. Pulse until combined. Taste for seasonings and for consistency.
**For variations, I add in cheese, bacon and sometimes green onions**

Low Carb Pizza Crust **Found this on Recipezaar a million moons ago..sorry can't give credit where credit's due**
 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
 2 eggs
 1/4 cup parmesan cheese
 1/4 teaspoon oregano or 1/4 teaspoon italian seasoning
 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
 8 ounces Italian cheese blend or 8 ounces mozzarella cheese, shredded
1. In a medium bowl, whisk cream cheese until smooth and creamy.
2. Whisk in eggs until mixture is well-blended and smooth.
3. Add the Parmesan and seasonings, then stir in the 8 ounces of mozzarella until completely moistened.
4. Spread cheese mixture evenly in a well-greased 9"x13" glass baking dish or lightly greased and lined with parchment paper (see note below).
5. Bake at 375║F for 20 to 25 minutes or until evenly browned, but not too dark; let cool completely on a wire rack.
6. When nearly cooled, take a spatula and carefully pry up the edges to loosen from pan.
7. Ease the spatula under the whole crust to loosen.
8. Keep crust in the pan; this makes it easier to remove the finished pizza later.
9. Refrigerate, uncovered, until shortly before serving time (this dries out the crust and makes it crisper).

So...even though I posted all of these delish recipes, none of these are dinner tonight lol. I have to shop before I can make these. Instead I improvised. I made 1 c of dreamfields elbow noodles(10 carbs), 1 c of eden organic spaghetti sauce (8 carbs), 1/2 lb ground turkey (0 carbs), a pinch of splenda, little bit of onion(1 carb), garlic powder, dried parsley and then topped it with 1 c mozzarella (4 carbs) and baked just until the cheese melted. That is my dinner before the football game tonight. I am thinking it should be 4 servings. About 6 carbs each. I will let you know for sure if it's 4 servings...you never know!

Green, you are right our measurements are really close. I was reading back through some of your posts and read that your son Andrew is soon to turn 18. Wow. My boy just turned 20, and my daughter is 8. Your added recipe/pics on here look so good! Makes me want to try them as well. Koodos about the 6 servings/4carbs! Isn't it wonderful when things turn out better than we expect them to.

Have a wonderful evening!

Pretty sure I hit closer to 30 carbs today than 20, but that is okay I anticipated it. I am having another helping of the pasta now that I am back home. It was freezing at the game! My son is an allstar, considered one of the best on the team, and tonight he did not do so good~it was like a trainwreck. Our team did not score once. BUT...I sat by the band, and let me tell you, the band always has a great time, whether the team wins or not! They helped lighten up the mood The good thing is that Andrew is going up to Applebee's with his girlfriend. That will help him burn off some steam, so when he comes home he won't be grumpy. She has a way of changing his bad moods around. He can't be in a bad mood if she is around lol, not so much if it's just me and his brother.

Anyways, besides the hard loss, the night was fun. I did take a 1/2 c of almonds/walnuts w me to the game. Seasoned them w/ tbsp butter, 1 packet splenda and cinnamon. They were yummy! They also had burgers at the game, so I gave the bun to my nephew who ONLY eats bread, and ate the burger plain.

I feel like I ate a lot today~

This looks really yummy. But it has things in it that aren't on the recipe? Have you made this?

You probably did fine... sometimes I feel 'too full' for no reason too.

You are doing Great! Look at where you where a month ago and where you are now! You are doing Wonderfully.

I wish it was freezing here. I love the fall weather and we really don't get it here until November. Sorry your son had an off night, but everyone has them occasionally. Glad you had a good time and that he has someone who helps him work through his frustration.

Oh, the nuts...that is one of the things I do miss on Induction. I love them.

Lisa, congratulations on the 20 pound weight loss! That is fantastic. And, thank you for sharing your recipes -- I really want to try the low carb pizza. Glad that you are treating yourself to hair salon/beauty school. You have a lot to celebrate!
