Making two appetizers this morning for Super Bowl Sunday. One is lc jalapeno poppers to take to work with me! The other are loaded potato bites. Andrew's request. He is going over his best friend's house to watch the super bowl, and asked if I would make them for him to take. No problem. They won't be in my house!

Welcome Mattmich6! Journaling has really helped me stay on track. It helps me save recipes I find online, makes me accountable. Every day, I know I have to come on here and plug in my food. The support is unbelievable. I hope you love it as much as I do!

Thank you everyone for your kind words and support. It is always a treat to log in and see new comments from everyone!

Trust me, if I had more funds, I would definitely open a restaurant. I am great at people skills, and I love cooking Lc would be a new concept as well. It would sky rocket My sister has been telling me for years now that I should open my own restaurant. Maybe in my retirement lol.

Congrats on the inches and pounds lost....I too am addicted to these journals (I have one over on the atkins diet bulletin board site that was started in 2008!). I'm in this for the long haul, even though I'm maintaining the work never ends. I always need inspiration, focus and new recipes to stay on track. The accountability of the journals is also huge for me, I mess up a lot. I'm not perfect.....But nobody in my "real" world really cares if I splurged on junk last night. YOU ALL get what I mean!!!

P.S. I'm so happy to have found your journal!! Keep up the good work and just know that every post you make not only helps you stay on track but it's helping countless others on their journeys as well!

Thank you Debby

Jessica, thank you for your post. I agree, no one in the real world cares if I don't eat right, matter of fact, they sort of encourage it. Say I deserve it. Add to my stress at times! They say I look fine, there is no way that I was obese, and definitely no way I am overweight right now. They are saying what they think I want to hear, but that is not really what I want to hear.

Today...
B~cream cheese muffin, 3 sausage links fried in olive oil/butter w/ splash of hwc
L~braised beef tips w/ dreamfields penne
D~Braised pork chop w/ tomatoes, olives and peppers

Sometimes humans are all too like the monkeys in the experiment, dragging other monkeys down from rewards, without knowing why.

I like to think it is just social habit, telling someone they look fine/can have just one/etc. But , sadly, I think too many people are happy to see others fail, in a mild way, at least, so they can feel better about themselves.

Hey Lisa, I think it is awesome that you can eat Dreamfields and still lose. I just bought some low carb pasta last week and we had a small amount last night as a side dish. I am eager to see the impact that this will have on weight loss. If I can have a little treat like that, I think it will help me stay on plan more. Hope you have a great day. xo

Okay Lisa, here's wishing this year that you come upon some good fortune that you CAN open your own LC restaurant and make it a success! You deserve it really and I know with your amazing cooking skills it would definitely blow away the competition!

I think a low carb restaurant is a very realistic idea for you!! I loved being a server, and if it wasn't for my kids being so young at the moment I would probably be working at a restaurant p/t right now!!! I can tell you love food, GOOD food, and you have found a way to sustain LC eating by keeping it exciting and yummy. I would totally go to your restaurant!!!!

btw- I made the cheesecake muffins last night, WOW!! I went with the original recipe using vanilla and I only made a half batch because I only had one block of cream cheese. They are VERY good and just the right amount of richness and sweetness to kill the craving. Thank you for the idea!!!!! I had one kinda warm, and then one later after being chilled. Totally better when cold :-)

I am blushing over here After a long night at work, this was a nice surprise to come home to. Here we are again, on the brink of a huge snowstorm, dropping anywhere from 6-12" in the next few hours. It started at 6, and hasn't stopped yet, although it did slow down a lot from earlier. I am just so ready for snow to be gone, and hyacinths to be popping their buds up through the ground. I want to see some spring flowers

I did not eat so good today. Just really didn't have much of an appetite. I skipped breakfast, which I never do. Really only ate one big meal, and that was it. My food choices were perfectly fine, but I know from experience that I can not skip breakfast and still remain on track with weightloss.

Today
B~nothing.
L~spicy sausage w/peppers and onions and a drizzle of alfredo sauce over it
D~2 deli ham slices w/american cheese and mustard.
S~1 cookie

I am not really hungry right now either. I am ready for bed however. Exhausted to say the least. Have a good night everyone, and once again, I really do appreciate the positive words of encouragement and the compliments. It makes my day to see them.
