It's crazy. I know that I am losing weight. I see the scale moving. And, my clothes are getting looser and looser, and old things are fitting that stopped fitting, but until I compared the two pics, I really didn't KNOW. I have been on cloud 9 all day long

Going to be a busy day today! Headed out to pick up some sprite and flavored mixers for the kids, a few appetizers and snacks. I am closing tonight at work. Nobody wanted to do it, and since I really don't party, I don't mind making the extra money!! We close at 10, so I will be home with plenty of time to ring in the new year with my boys. Tomorrow is my mom's big New Year's Roasted Pork dinner. I am making that delish chocolate pizza thingy I posted. Can NOT wait to taste that bad boy Happy New year's everyone! Make an attainable new year's goal.

This is mine. And, I am encouraging Andrew to do the same.

B~leftover roast beef w/ leftover gravy
L~angry whopper, lc style from Burger King
S~jello w/ 1 tsp cool whip, cheese stick
D~BIG T-bone steak w/ mushrooms and 2 tbsp Guy's lc bbq sauce

I worked tonight and didn't get home until 11:45...just in time to ring in the New Year's with one VERY sleepy 11 year old...and one 18 year old and his girlfriend. I did take a small drink of sparkling grape juice. Bought it for the kids to ring in the new year with. Work was great tonight. Busy, busy, busy. My only issue was that we closed at 10, but with so much business, I almost missed ringing in the new year with the kiddos All was well though. Great start to a new year!!!

Woke up to a huge snow storm overnight!

This is my back yard.

Down my back porch steps.

And, my front view. Lots of snow...so my parents canceled dinner today I am making a pork roast at home instead. I ventured out early this morning to pick one up and will be putting it in the oven shortly. Happy New year everyone!

Just finished making the chocolate pizza. Wondering how these people get such perfect results on pics and shape and stuff. Mine looks good, but not nearly as "perfect" as the original picture. And, my crust doesn't look nearly as dark!!

The snow I know hindered your plans, but it looks like so much fun. We never get snow and I occasionally miss it. And ummmm or YUUummmmmm!!! Your chocolate pizza looks DEVINE!!!

Instead of posting B, L and D today, I am just going to post everything I consumed.

Jello w/ 1 tsp cool whip
5 slices of chocolate pizza (ugh...it was throughout the ENTIRE day...)
1 brownie (non lc)
1 cocktail of malibu and oj, half a glass, that I drank half of. with my brother. tasted bad to me!!!
2 portions of roasted pork and sauerkraut
3 vodka/tonics w a lime
1 burger w/ pickle and mayo (no bun)

I ate a lot today. The brownie and malibu drink were not lc, but both were very small portions. I probably ate a little too much of the chocolate pizza as well. But it could have been worse. I could have eaten brownies all day long. Overall...I did not eat anything off plan for Christmas at all, and very little for New Year's... I am very proud of my holiday season success this year!!!!

Definitely over 20 carbs today, but less than 50

I do have one question... I remember hearing something before about re-introducing certain carbs back into the diet gradually. When do you do that? I am at the halfway mark, and wondering if I should start re-introducing certain foods. Obviously not white sugar and flour, but maybe other foods I have avoided so far?? Anyone have any thoughts? I have not followed any specific plan. I have just stuck to the under 20 carbs a day for the most part, with a few exceptions of under 50.

My understanding of Dr. Atkins' approach is that when you start reintroducing carbs you should add them gradually, one at a time, and carefully monitor your response to each. In this manner you can determine which you are super sensitive to and which cause weight gain.

WOW....you HAVE come a long way. Or should I say "weigh?" And to do it in less than 4 months. You are lookin' good....and are an inspiration.

I was perusing your journal and saw the Meatballs Parmigiana. YUMMO....I will be trying those the next time ground beef goes on sale. I think I'll make 5 lbs worth and freeze them. The chocolate pizza looks good too, but the meatballs are more my thing. I'm glad I don't have much of a sweet tooth.

KUTGW....I'll be checking in here more often.

So...I'm so silly...tomorrow is my weigh in!! With the holidays and blizzard, I had lost track of days. I will be okay to weigh in tomorrow lol. In the meantime...here's breakfast for today. Steakums! Melted a little butter, threw in a handful of mushrooms and a little seasoning. Broke up 3 steakums and added it. Then melted one slice of torn up mozzarella on top. Drizzled bbq sauce over it. YUMMY>

I should mention that this is a salad plate. The width is probably the same as my hand. And, the pan I used is my smallest frying pan.

The roof walls were ridiculous. That was not happening. I don't know how he got them to stay at a slant like that. I decided to go with the rustic log cabin look

Also, he made his "mortar" w/ 2 cream cheese blocks, palm oil and onion soup mix. I made mine w/ 2 cream cheese blocks, a healthy scoop of mayo and ranch mix. Tastes amazing. I sprinkled parmesan and garlic popcorn topper over the whole thing to give the "snowy" look.

Thank you! It is still blizzarding here, and I have to go out into it to pick my youngest up from his friend's house. Think I will stop at the store and get some things to make a nice pot of soup Warm soup on a snowy day sounds perfect.
