Thank you for the compliments everyone. And, Debby... I do have a BIG yard...and a lot of trees too. We live in a co-op and it is called the Brooklyn Acres. Right on the edge of a forest. Lots of wildlife too. There are three trucks that come down my street. One is for rubbish. One is for recycling. And the last is for yard waste. ALL yard waste has to be in special brown paper bags. I usually get them at Marcs or Sams Club. They are pretty cheap. You usually get about 50 for $5, or so. They are huge bags!! I could not believe how many bags of leaves we got today. BUT, most of the trees have finished dropping their leaves, so probably won't have another big yard day like that for a while. We mowed one last time too, before putting the mower away for the winter. Got all the patio furniture buckled down, all the chairs put away, the firepit, the bbq grill...I think I am all set.

Usually I precook my ribs in the oven with a nice dry rub of random spices, and then after they cool, we throw them on the grill w/ some sauce. Today, I made them in the oven as normal, but when it came to the point where I normally throw them on the grill, I put them under the broiler in the oven. Needless to say, the fat on the ribs didn't get as crispy as we like. The ribs were extremely tender, and tasted good, but definitely much fattier. Next time I need to broil them longer and crisp that fat up!! Made some mac n cheese to go with it. Dreamfields rotini w/ homemade cheese sauce. 4 oz of cheddar, pepper and hwc. It was pretty good!!

B~couple of pork rinds dipped in heluva good french onion chip dip
S~3 sf russell stovers candies
L~6 hot wings w/ ranch dressing
D~3 rib bones, 3/4 c mac n cheese
S~cloud

Yes, that's a good point. Lots of exercise while you accomplished all of that! Gotta love that!
That's good that it doesn't cost much. Sounds gorgeous! I leave my gas BBQ on the front porch & use it all year round...Cooked burgers for the DGkiddo's today.

My front porch is so tiny, I could never fit my bbq grill on there lol. Plus, I like charcoal, so it really is a chore to get the thing going. But, to me, definitely worth it!!

This week I am going to try going to Zumba again on Thursday. I used to go every Tuesday and Thursday evening. It only costs $2 per class, and you pay when you go. No membership. I went faithfully for about two years, but then, during class, I tore my miniscus, and have tried returning a few times, but it has always been very difficult. It has been several months since I have tried again. And, my knees haven't acted up in a while now. And...I have lost weight, so that will probably help out too I wish I could do Tues and Thurs again, but I close the restaurant on Tues evenings. Besides, once a week is a good start for me, considering I do absolutely NOTHING now lol.

This weekend was so good. Not only did I get the yard winterized, but I helped clean both boys bedrooms (tornadoes). We donated 4 trash bags of clothing yesterday to the Salvation Army! My motto is if it hasn't been used in 6 months, get rid of it!

Wow, you are doing great! Your next goal is sooo close!

I was really hoping my son would grow out of the tornado phase, I suppose I should just get used to it! He cracks me up -- he will pick up 2 toys when I ask him to and then pull out 5 more that he sees when he puts the others in the box. What can ya do?

Have fun at Zumba!

1 tube of breakfast sausage, I use spicy
8 oz cream cheese

I have used a similar version of the heiney helper- add in a 1/2 block velveeta...we always used it as a dip for chips. Delish!

TeeHeeHee...the name Heiny Helper so tickles me...does the Heiny in the title refer to derričre? And if so, does it imply that the heiny in question will expand or diminish? Mine certainly doesn't need to inflate even the slightest.

So very happy I got those leaves up just in time! Last night, a snow storm hit! I couldn't even see driving home from work All is safe, and once the blowing around was done, only about an inch of snow is on the ground this morning! Lots of ice though.

Be careful driving around, dear. Even just an inch of snow can be problematic and ice sure is, big time. Stay safe. Love your comment 'diminish'. Think I just may adopt it as a mantra..."diminish, diminish, diminish". Have a great day, Geeny.

I think I have my Thanksgiving day menu settled on.

Appetizers:
Shrimp/chorizo bites (those were a huge hit last weekend)
Deviled eggs

Meats:
Turkey
Ham (glazed w/sf jelly maybe??)

Side dishes:
Stuffing
Cranberry Sauce
Green beans w/bacon and onion
Mac n cheese (dreamfields)

Desserts:
Pumpkin bake
Cheesecake
Pumpkin Roll (I gave in and told the boys I will make ONE this year, usually I make about 8)

I sent my mom a message and told her if they want rolls or potatoes or such to just bring it with them. I think this is gonna be a huge menu! Feeding 9 people...possibly more...Andrew always has friends drop in on the holidays

I still am contemplating on the creamed spinach and also the brussel sprouts with bacon and onion. Might save them for Christmas??

Sounds like a solid menu and good plan! It's nice that a lot of Thanksgiving staples are naturally low carb when you think about it. Love the... sausage house!? Fun idea!

Lisa, I was researching info on Dreamfields pasta and found some information out about it not being truly low carb. I posted it in another thread to see what others had found out. You may want to check out the post. Just in case you ever have problems with it.

Today is dr. appt. day. It's not until later this afternoon. Getting my bloodwork redone and getting more tests done after the mammogram didn't look so good. Just a little nervous. I can not wait until my doctor sees how much weight I have dropped in the month since I saw him last!

I really think your doctor will be *so* impressed with your wonderful accomplishment. And I completely understand your nervousness; appointments with the doctor always make me feel nervous even when everything seems to be going well and I'm more apprehensive when some specific issue needs to be addressed. Stay calm and positive; I'm sure things will turn out well for you.
