I hate it when I forget stuff at home -- I walked out & left my protein shake in the fridge the other morning. DOH!

Hope you're having a good day so far!

TYL! I didn't know you had a new journal! I'm marking my spot!! So glad to see you back! and look at all of the support you have! You come back and automatically have like 10 friends following you. How amazing is that? i think you've really motivated people so you should be proud of that!

Oh gosh, i remember first time around i used to enjoy pumpkin and cream cheese for breakfast, so i whipped some up this morning but didn't have time to eat it, so i took the bowl in the car with me. Do u know it fell off the seat and landed upside down. Its like the food Gods want me to cheat. I didn't. But boy that gets annoying

Morning, Tyl!

Thanksgiving has come & gone, and I'm sure most of us can relate to indulging. Just take at least 1 positive step each day, and your momentum builds. You've got this, love.

The old us would have just decided to take December off. can you imagine how much weight we could all pack on this month. I am proud that we aren't going down that path. we have a good three weeks before christmas to do some good for ourselves.

Very good point, Lexi! I am proud of us for not using December as a "pass" -- we can definitely make some positive headway in these next few weeks.

It took forever, but here I am. I've been back and forth in my mind but now i don't have much of a choice. We ran labs at my doctor's office. I thought i had to have some medical dysfunction because the weight hasnt been dropping off like i'd hope. Overwhelmingly my labs came back great....except my a1c.

6.4--thats not good. I'm not on a doctor supervised low carb plan. Have to check in on a monthly basis, taking meds to help me along the way, but all of this is to avoid being placed on diabetic meds! Gonna recheck my a1c in another two months and see how things are going. I'm relieved and anxious at the same time.

So i restarted this: Cut The Crap Challenge, Take 2

Everyone is welcome! I need it like no one's business! I long for the days when i was super motivated like the original challenge: Cut the Crap Challenge I will be reading back there for motivation too! I have a feeling 2014 is when i get my health and sexy back!

Couple of other changes: i'm attempting to go natural! that's a hair thing. I am trying to rid my body and my life of all the crap, so i'm laying off the chemicals and heat. Only time will tell how that turns out! I'm also working at home a few days a week! thats half off tolls and gas! super exited. We purchased a home this year which is so cool, but also we watched all our savings go to a down payment. For 2014, i'm back to getting serious about savings and debt repayment. I want to pay my car off early...i have 2 yrs left.... so lets see where that leads!!!!

Ok that's it for now! i'm so ready to get this weight (of many varieties) off!

Cut the Crap take 2: sw:276.4 cw: 259.6 Pts: 84!
For 8 weeks I made 84 positive choices!
CTC begins again on 3/2 join us!

Just posted over on the challenge

Scary stuff about the idea of diabetes, huh? I had mine checked several years ago and it came back at like 5.7 or something and the doc said it was normal... Yet, when the podiatrist I was seeing for major foot pain seemed alarmed at the labs I'd brought him and promptly asked me then to go on a low carb diet.. So confusing when doctors are all so different depending on what their perspective is. I'm just glad that you have a doctor who is willing to ride this in with you and monitor your progress!

Sounds like you are looking for lots of change this coming year. Exciting stuff IMO! Good luck to you, I think you'll do great, Tyl!

Thanks love! It is frightening. both of my parents died way to young, imo (50 and 53). I worry so much about my health but its a whole other ball game when the possibility is so realistic...so things are changing, for the better!
