Hope your day went well. I'm so happy for your success with raising your calories... only a 2 lb jump for TOM... that's amazing really! I think you're on to something!

up +.4 to 131.0 but you're right Debby not too bad with tom here in all it's glory ! Unable to exercise yesterday since the cramps were that bad even with Pamprin. Today have son's Harvest school party so looking forward to sleeping in tomorrow. Not really looking forward to tonight though which I feel bad because he is so excited to go. Back to my exercise routine on Saturday since hopefully by then the worst of the symptoms will be over.

Adding a little cheese today in my breakfast. Will keep the avocado & cheese in the menu until tom is gone. Then will eat clean for a few days to get rid of this bloat and then will decide if I want to get to Atkins induction carb level or just eat like this for a while longer.

To be honest I'm just happy I can eat 1500-1600 calories. So I'm not in a hurry to try and add too many fruits if it will hurt that process.

That's right on... I've only got my cals up to 1300 or there-about. So far, I'm just not hungry, although I could eat more at my 'snack' time... just get confused about what I 'should' eat. Breakfast & snack time are the ones I had to change to go primal.
Have you ever tried dong quai? it really helps straighten out painful TOM.

Up +4 to 131.4 which is where I was exactly before the M&E oh well. The true test will be after tom is gone if I go back to 128ish. We'll see but honestly it's not as big a deal as it was last week. Probably because I went to my son's school party got lots of compliments on how thin. Today I went to so some shopping and tried on size 6 pants and a size 6 dress and both were too big !!

So not changing anything and just keeping my calories at 1500-1600 and back to exercise today and my routine.

Debby I've never tried dong quai ? Do you find it at health stores ? I've been doing small protein portions for snacks. I'll separate 2 or 3 oz of whatever protein I had the night before in a pre-measured bag. Or when I add back more carbs nuts, cheese. I've been thinking of rolling up some turkey or ham with a slice of cheese. I also have done pepperoni which I microwave and they get crispy. I buy Boar's Head at the deli.

that's great! So encouraging to try on clothes & have them be too big! Great news.

Yes, health-food store is where I get it, also online sources. maybe netrition.
thanks for the snack ideas. I have done meats... but the regularity thing is still something I have to deal with. Maybe if I eat meat with fat...

I think that's the key the fat to keep regular. The mayo with the eggs, the bacon, the steak leave the fat etc. I also keep my proteins varied and I have these SF fiber gummies that do the job or in case of emergency I do have some teas that get things going.

Meat & Egg. Essentially it's no carbs. Whatever protein choice, lots of healthy fats and lots of eggs. I decided to try it because when I was eating fruits/veggies/lc breads +protein I was averaging 1200-1300 calories and some days 1000-1100. I just wasn't hungry but when I tried to up my exercise I had zero energy.

I realized I had to up my calories but was worried about gaining since it seemed I was stabilizing at this low calorie count. So I remembered Atkins and researching found the M&E fast. I know when I did the Fat Fast some people mentioned the M&E fast to transition to more carbs. So I did the M&E fast for about 10 days & lost 3 lbs but the big benefit was that I was able to add back in lots of calories and am averaging 1500-1600 calories now ! I did it & really enjoyed it and still doing the M&E though not as strict as I occasionally add some cheese or avocado. TOM came and the 3 lbs came back but decided to just stick it out since I am really enjoying this WOE. Well it already coming off all by itself with me not doing a thing. Though to be honest the loss of a few lbs are the cherry on the cake because I just wanted to eat more and maintain

I've also noticed my bloat when not on tom is gone and my energy is way up and I just feel better. So sticking with this for awhile until I get bored and then will add back in carbs slowly. But as usual for me just going with the flow as to what my body is craving.

Down -.8 to 130.6. Yesterday had about 1400 calories and back on my treadmill for 30 minutes ! My calories were a little low since I made pork chops but I just wasn't crazy about how thick they were. Today just more of the same though back up to my 1500-1600 calorie count. Really enjoying this WOE so no plans on changing it. I notice if I get bored I have an avocado and I'm good to go. Also now that I've added a little cheese here & there it's gotten really enjoyable. I went to BJ's and bought some crumbled blue cheese and gorgonzola. I also bought some rosemary sliced Italian ham and salami for snacking

Decided to experiment so threw in the crock pot 3 chicken breasts, a small bag of large shrimp, dry spices, cilantro paste, mojo and half a cream cheese. Smells really good & only 235 calories and 2 carbs a serving. I plan on shredding the chicken when it's done and having it with a dollop of sour cream.

+.4 to 131 but pretty good since still have tom and for a Monday. Yesterday had about 1560 in calories and 30 min on the treadmill with 6 total carbs. Today have planned about 1650 in calories and 5 carbs so let's see what tomorrow brings.

This weekend after tom is gone completely and any left over bloat will be a better indicator on how this WOE is working out though honestly I am pretty content for now.

For me that is the important thing if I am content then keep on until I am not and then change things up again.

That's excellent. You're only up a couple of lbs. from TOM. Perfect.
Contentment is a great achievement!
I'm doing quite well on the Primal. Seeing a gently creeping downward on the scale. Irregularity & weird schedule changes makes it hard to see the right numbers, but the 1-2 lb balance gets lower every week.

Congrats ! That's what I'm hoping to see when tom is gone a gentle creeping down. By the end of week I should done with all the bloat from tom. I wouldn't mind seeing 128 again like I did a week ago to be honest.

+.2 131.2 with 1650 in calories yesterday, 5 carbs and 33 min on the treadmill. Menu yesterday was lots of egg as usual, liverwurst for breakfast, crockpot Cream Cheese Chicken/Shrimp forl lunch ground pork, some sour cream for dinner. Fats were mayo, ranch dressing and hwc, snack was genoa salami . Today have about 1500 in calories planned. Same breakfast eggs and liverwurst. Lunch egg tuna salad with mayo, snack salami and dinner ground chicken with sour cream with egg salad and hwc.

TOM is finally gone gone so I feel more like me again. Also I am noticing the bloat is gone. Not sure if it's a combination of the no carb and daily exercise so even if the scale is not lower my clothes are fitting looser. Was going to o take measurements but I don't remember what they used to be to compare them to

No plans on changing anything..just keeping on keeping on...

-.4 to 130.8 ended with 1500 calories and 37 min on the treadmill. Today have a higher carb count in the menu since I am having calf liver for dinner. Comes in at 13 carbs total for the day with 8 coming from 2 pieces of liver.

This week may add a salad here or there. Will keep to my schedule today but tomorrow with Halloween and trick or treating with my son no time to exercise. But figure with the walking for an hour or 2 I should be covered on the exercise front.

bah humbug +1.2 to 132 but I knew it was coming this morning. Woke up very sore from exercise & the dentist. Yesterday my routine cleaning turned into "oop's here's a small cavity" so drill drill away & 2 shots later & I can barely open my mouth.

So it was hard to get in my calories and barely made 1400 but still managed to get in my work out though !

Today looking forward to taking my son trick or treating and I get his report card so keeping my fingers crossed on that one. No changes on my menu just making sure I get my calories in and my work out will be walking around the neighborhood for a good 2 hours probably.

on the scale! I hope it'll go back down tomorrow for you!! I'm doing really low carbs myself this week to stick my window a bit better, but the will be a lot of chocolate around tonight...may need to sample a piece and hope for the best . Not sure I'll be able do only 1 though... That's the challenge!! Have fun tonight!

down -.8 to 131.2. I realized I just needed to go so last night took a tea and that did the trick. I've been craving macadamia nuts & brie cheese. I went to BJ's and bought soft brie cheese and salted nuts from Hawaii so going to treat myself. Menu for today is mac nuts, brie and bacon with lots of coffee and hwc

My son got 2nd honors Honor Roll So got to work for a few minutes but leaving in a bit for his school mass followed by Honor Roll assembly. So proud because with his adhd and school issues from the past this is something that I did not think was possible in all honesty. But I've always told him work hard and you'll get there.

Have a great Friday everyone !!

That's wonderful for your son!! my dd(10) and dh are both ADHD, so I get it. She's why we homeschool. Dh ended up in special Ed, w/. a 165 IQ, ended up in juve. Hall and dropped out at 16. Dd was suspended from school 3 times in 2nd grade, for stupid stuff, and I feared she was heading down the same path. So we pulled her out and have been loving it ever since!! I know this is a sensitive subject, but does he take anything? Concerta has really helped her. She's on a really low dose, but when she forgets? Man! You can really tell! It works, and she's so much happier when she's in control.

Hope you continue to lose some more. I know we like to see a certain number on the scale, and it's hard when it's not saying what we want to see... Hope you enjoy a nice weekend!

He's on Vyvanse and it helps tremendously. I didn't want to medicate but very glad we did. In a traditional classroom setting he fails; 2nd and 3 grades were a nightmare with constant issues. Then we medicated and the behavior did a 360 but academically he wasn't working at his level so he felt like a failure. Then last year for 4th grade we moved him to his school's "academy" setting and he learns at his level and has an individualized education plan. 15 kids with 2 teachers and the majority of the kids have ADHD so they know how to teach them. The difference has been night and day !

I know I have a love hate relationship with the scale Being in maintenance helps in that there are no goals to reach or time limits. Also exercise helps me tremendously not becoming so scale obsessed but every day I still get on it no matter what.

Down -2.0 to 129.2 ! Had about 1400 calories but 85 % fat, 7 net carbs but only 49 grams of protein. Seems my body really likes high fat. Just ate what I craved which was Brie cheese, Mac nuts, bacon and HWC. I didn't think I was going to drop so much today. In the past when I intentionally set out to do a traditional Fat Fast I stuck to 1000 calories broken into 200 calorie meals and left the protein to a minimum.

Strange huh ? Wonder what my body is telling me ? Other than more fat

Oh well today doing more of the same and just upping my calories a bit and back to exercise since yesterday I had no time. Monday will go back to M&E and lots of good fats and see what happens.

That's really cool, that what you were craving helped you drop. Did you also sleep in this morning? I was expecting lower this morning, because of sleeping in, but it didn't make any difference. Have a good Saturday!

Sounds like your version of the FF. so glad you're down!!!

Your ds sounds similar to my dd.so glad you have that nice option and his school sounds great. We too struggled with the idea of medication for dd, but I finally recognized that it is indeed a medical condition, a chemical imbalance in the brain, and it deserved treatment, like diabetes would. Really changed my perspective on it.

+.4 129.6 and back to M&E today. Woke up today and just not in the mood of such little protein, missed my eggs and meats. So back to my preferred WOE for now. Definitely in Ketosis now since I have that Keto taste in my mouth & I tried one my strips this morning and a dark peach/pink.

I was exercising today and sweating up a storm and feeling really good and then my mind drifted to what the scale will say tomorrow since I went back to my "normal" eating Afterwards decided to focus on the non-scale victories. Very easy to get caught up on a number on the scale that doesn't tell the real story. Today ate lots of yummy protein and felt better after my 2 days of FF. I am glad that today when I woke up and felt a little "off" I stopped and listened. Before I just would of kept on chasing a lower number on the scale...

So let's see :

* really have no desire to "cheat"
* truly enjoying whatever woe I am doing at the moment
* able to exercise almost every day & feel great while doing it
* so much energy
* able to do so much more for my family
* improved attitude and mood, much more positive person
* improved self esteem, heck before I had zero self esteem
* improved health & well being
* healthy bmi
* for the first time able to get the max life insurance at work
* clothes shopping !! fitting into a size small
* starting to lose inches and getting firmer
* 1 year in Maintenance reached
* no doubts that I can keep this up anymore
* no bingeing or overeating in 7 months
* no more bp or anxiety medication

So promised myself to just focus on keeping my calories up and my exercise routine and being healthy !! Now to look for lc Thanksgiving recipes

Morning ! STS 129.6 which was truly surprising since my calorie count came to 1850, 4 carbs, 76 % fat & I did 37 min on the treadmill. I think that really comes down to the low carbs & exercise. But it also can turn up tomorrow on the scale. The calories were high because of the meatloaf for dinner which was pretty calorie dense but oh so good ! Today back to normal eating which for now seems to be low carb and about 1500 calories per my app.

Not stressing about the scale and trying to see it as a reference point. Will focus more on what I know is going on with my body such as tom, bloating, lack of sleep, constipation, soreness from exercise, stress, how my clothes fit etc etc rather than the scale.
